THE NBA RPF SHIP BRACKET

hello! welcome to the tournament of nba rpf ships that will be decided by The People (tumblr polls.) all seeding decided by @cazluvsu

(heavily inspired by @nflrpfshipbracket!!)

how it works:

each poll will feature two nba ships. pick whichever ship you like more/think is better. the ship that wins will move on to the next round. the bracket is set up like your average 16-seed tournament, like a shortened version of march madness

feel Very free to reblog poll posts to 1. spread the tournament to all corners of basketblr and 2. spread propaganda for your fav ships! all videos, pictures, analysis, fics, fanart, other media, anything and everything is welcome!!

the bracket:

methodology:

single elimination, 16 ship bracket. the seeding was mainly determined based on how many fics each ship had on ao3. however, i took some liberties to add and re rank ships that i believe are more popular (at least right now) than some others.

example - jalen/josh/donte aren’t in the top 16 of fics written on ao3, mostly because they are a relatively new ship imo, but are more popular than some pairings ahead of them (again. only using my discretion. if you disagree i don’t really care have some fun)

schedule:

every round of polls will be active for one week, allowing for plenty of time for propaganda spreading. once the polls of one round finish, polls for the next round with the winners of the last round will be posted.

the polls for round one will be posted on monday, september 23rd, at 12:30 pm EST

an updated bracket will be posted at the conclusion of each round along with the polls for the following round every monday at 12:30 pm EST

kd is clearly a closeted bi/gay man. one of the greatest players to ever pick up a basketball, has two rings, and yet he has a huge aura of insecurity clouding him and it just seems like no matter what he does, he just can't be happy (because he can't be his true self).

when draymond asked him why he has no kids he intentionally didn't use any pronouns to describe a future partner (his exact words were "if i were to invite someone in or share my life with another person"). also him and russ explored each others bodies idc that mvp speech was absolutely insane like why did he tell russ he loved him THREE times???
