Hear me out: an version of killer where he did manage to escape nightmare, but in this attempt to escape him, nightmare destroyed killer's skull so badly, killer went even more insane and is incapable of going back to stage 1 because a huge chunk of his skull is missing, thanks to this killer has literally lost the ability to have ANY self-preservation, making nightmare actively avoid that specific killer because they will try EVERYTHING and ANYTHING to kill nightmare, like it's on sight, and this killer has gotten surprisingly close to actually harming nightmare, and very creative.

Before Kizuna could respond, the exorcist lunged and wrapped her in a hug. It was scary, really, and the fear only expanded when Kurokawa began to tremble.

"I would've been... so sad... if you... died...!" the noirette whined between desperate gasps for air, "you're a... good... person...!"

Kizuna tried to struggle away, but the grip was surprisingly tight. Luckily, the exorcist began to let go willingly. She was speaking more than she typically did, but each word sounded even weaker than the last. "I knew... that you... were... capable of... change...!"

"What are you--" Kizuna began, only to be cut off by Kurokawa tightly gripping her shoulders.

"You've... changed so much... I'm so... hap...py..." And then her eyes began to roll up into the back of her head, causing the cheerleader to gag and cover her mouth, followed by blood beginning to spill from her eyes, mouth, and nose. And then Kurokawa collapsed backwards, still breathing, but obviously in need of medical assistance.
