Was wondering, what do you think would have happened if Elrond and Elros had ended up in Angband instead of with Maedhros and Maglor?

If Elrond and Elros had ended up in Angband, I can see them becoming thralls if Morgoth doesn't know of their heritage. If he does know, then maybe he'd turn the twins into his lieutenants or spies? Then they could be used against Maedros and Maglor, maybe play into that kidnap-sons role from canon, but they sent information back to Morgoth. Until one (or both) of the twins has a change of heart because they've grown to love the Feanorians as father-figures? Hmmmm

I feel like there's a lot of different directions you could take with this scenario; if anyone else has any ideas they'd like to share, please feel free because my imagination is coming up short ^^;;
