             ❛ 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐤𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐬𝐚𝐲, 𝐢𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐬. ❜  𝐬𝐡𝐞 𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐩𝐬 with a lopsided grin growing at the corners of her mouth. only further drawing a series of bright, bubbly laughter at the poor attempt a british accent that the opposite girl.  though, her hilarity slowly begins to subside,  the joy still painting her warm-toned eyes widen upon seeing the crown of beautiful && vibrant wildflowers crafted in ruby’s hand.  she made this for her?  this must've taken her hours.   while they were the two of the shortest girls in the school,  their slight height difference always amused & was actually kind of endearing to clem.   leaning down to accommodate the other girl’s shorter stature,   clementine soon stood upright once the crown was perfectly placed on her hair,   amidst the springing mass of chocolate ringlets & curls.               lithe fingers reach up and touch the artistry and its soft petals,  not wanting to DISRUPT the hard work it had to have taken ruby to connect & tie every piece of twine and leaf to have this as the result.  she briefly wonders how she looked,  but gauging from the admiration && awe that glimmers in the luminous,  sky blue hues that seemed pleased with her handiwork---  (  and her as the model of it  ) , she couldn't have looked too bad.             heat blooms into the apples of her cheeks at the compliment,  tinting her caramel complexion.  however,  as eyes involuntarily modestly glancing down,   her more demure grin soon transitions into a smirk as she decides to meet ruby halfway.   taking a single step closer   ❛  yeah? I hope i’m not overstepping my duties here when I say that I've always thought my princess was the FAIREST in all the land. ❜

He needs no further invitation; a smile warms his face as he folds his arms around his friend.

“You’re the best, Ruby.” He holds on for a few moments, concentrating hard on pouring as much warmth into the embrace as Ruby gives to the group every day, and gives a final little squeeze before pulling back. “Is everything okay?”

“Well, that’s their loss, because you are an excellent hugger.”

Her words are accompanied by the flash of a bright smile, before Minnie leans in, reaching to wrap her arms around the other girl in a sideways hug and rest her head on Ruby’s shoulder. She holds on for a few moments before giving her friend a comforting squeeze and slowly withdrawing. 

“Seriously, though, Ruby.”  A hand rises to absently tuck a lock of hair behind her ear as she turns to better face the other girl, her smile fading into an expression she hopes reads as sincere as she feels. “If you ever want a hug, or someone to play with your hair, or scratch your back, or talk to, or whatever? I’m your girl. You’re a good person and you deserve all the love and affection. Anyone who says differently isn’t worth your time.”

🎉 - attend a halloween party together

          Common knowledge will tell you that parties are not exactly Aasim’s thing. It was true that he’d much rather spend his free time AWAY from all the hustle and bustle of social interacting - maybe curled up with good book at home, or, in most recent times, quite literally glued to Ruby’s side to enjoy simply being with her. In fact, he’d love nothing more than to be cuddled up with her at home right now, watching classic, cutesy Halloween movies rather than anything of the horror-genre, eating far too much junk food than what’s healthy as they perhaps focus a little more on kissing than what’s actually happening on screen…

          But, alas- Louis had decided last minute to throw an extravagant Halloween party, and Aasim supposes he really shouldn’t have expected anything else. Ruby’s excitement about it remains to be the one and only thing that both convinced him to go and to put on a happy face as they arrive. And, sure, he must admit; their costumes inspired by the infamous greasers from The Outsiders DID turn out pretty damn good. It’s one of his favorite novels, after all.

          Even so, it simply wouldn’t be Aasim if he didn’t have some self doubt about being here. OR about the way he currently looks. And as he runs his hand over his hair, slicked back with a copious amount of hair gel, he makes a subtle face. “Are you sure I don’t look stupid…?” he grumbles, leather-clad shoulders hunching up. “I mean- I get that it’s Halloween and all, but… I dunno. I still feel… weird.”

    His comment had been muttered after he heard Ruby approach up beside him, making her statement as the man in question had sauntered off and left Karen and Mary-Beth to talk about what just occurred. Arthur was digging through one of the cartons of cigarettes he had pulled from his satchel, flipping the card between his fingers. Another FAUNA, and one he already had. So, he tucked it back into the pack as he pulled a cigarette free, but didn’t light it just yet. Mary-Beth had just been subject to one of Trelawny’s tricks, one even Arthur had a hard time trying to explain to himself. Where he learned that, where he was even keeping those BIRDS. Seemed he was as good as making things appear as he did making HIMSELF disappear. 

    He paused after a moment, though, glancing down at her for a moment before he huffed. 

    “Don’t tell me you’re interested in MAGIC.”

Tenn loves making people smile. Few things feel as good as knowing you’ve done something to make someone’s day a little brighter, right?

As Tenn’s skills have developed as an artist, he’s taken to making drawings for people. He takes requests sometimes, but mostly he likes to sketch little scenes or subjects that remind him of someone, so that if they need a smile, they’ll have something little to help.

He also collects keepsakes and makes mental notes of things he knows are special to people, so that he can surprise them when they’re feeling down, or remind them that someone is thinking of them. They may be little gestures, but they’ve got a whole lot of heart behind them.
