A year ago today, we lost you...

Even now, I can’t find the words to fully express my pain and rage at what happened. Without the full uncensored truth being revealed, without justice being served to those responsible, how can we ever find closure?

I finally visited Seattle this month, the new home you were so excited to show me. I was surrounded by loved ones who helped me through the worst of it, but I found myself constantly asking whether I was walking in your footsteps...

I’ll continue to help your family where I can, your mother is so strong and brave. A real inspiration. I know she won’t ever stop till she gets justice. And I hope to be standing next to her when she does.

I will continue to keep my promises to you, my brother. I will live a life that you would be proud of.
