Obstwiesenfestival 2019

In Dornstadt bei Ulm, findet das Obstwiesenfestival ganze drei Tage lang Umsonst & Draußen statt. Ein besonderes Highlight in diesem Jahr ist eine Pre-Show mit den Mighty Oaks, die am Mittwoch stattfindet und wofür ihr euch hier Tickets besorgen könnt. In den Donnerstag, der dann wieder umsonst ist, beginnt mit der traditionellen Filmnacht am Donnerstag Abend. Der Einlass ist ab 19:00 Uhr und der diesjährige Film Die Goldfische beginnt pünktlich um 20:00 Uhr. Außerdem könnt ihr euch noch zur Einstimmung auf Das Lumpenpack freuen und natürlich das Highlight jedes Festivals, der Campingplatz welcher am Donnerstag bereits ab 18:00 Uhr geöffnet ist. Um den nächsten Festivaltag entspannt zu eröffnen, könnt ihr sowohl am Freitag wie auch am Samstag um 11:00 Uhr gemeinsam mit den anderen Festival Besuchern an der Yoga Session teilnehmen. Packt also auf jeden Fall eure Isomatten ein, den das Yoga findet bei gutem Wetter auf der Wiese statt und bei schlechtem im Zelt. Wer es noch viel entspannter angehen möchte, der ist am Samstag um 09:30 Uhr beim OWF Frühschoppen im Obstlergarten bestens aufgehoben. So I'm going to rant about about the unvaccinated, after having spent a day in their midst (not by choice, but it had to be done).

You want to freedom to be unmasked. You want the freedom to not get the shot. You do it in the name of Freedom. FREEDOM!

News for you asshole, that's not freedom. That's selfishness. But you only recognize it as freedom because you're only thinking about yourself. Consider this: I'm vaccinated. If they offer a booster shot I'll fucking get it as soon as I humanly can. But here's the thing, I can still catch COVID-19. So why should you care?

The vaccine does a great but incomplete job of preventing the virus, but the great success with the shots is in the fact that you don't get seriously sick if you've been vaccinated. I might catch it, but I'll be okay. The vaccinated aren't dying from this anymore.

But you're fucked.

If I go out unmasked you could DIE. If I go out masked, you could DIE. You all get the guidelines wrong.

The social distancing guidelines apply if BOTH PARTIES ARE MASKED. 6 FEET IF YOU'RE BOTH MASKED. It's 25 feet if only one of you is masked. It's even further if neither of you is masked. No one reports that part and it makes me fucking furious.

And it's for no more than 20 minutes indoors EVER.

If I have COVID and am masked and you're unvaccinated and unmasked, you have a 25% chance of catching it under the 6 foot social distance guideline. 1 in 4. Do you feel that lucky, every time I take a breath?

Because you're rolling the dice with every breath you take, or I take. It resets with each breath. Statistically speaking, you're going to get sick.

More than 1 out of every 10 Americans has gotten this fucking thing.1 out of every 535 has died per the official count, and some states aren't reporting all cases anymore. You KNOW someone who has gotten sick. You KNOW someone who has died, even if you live in one of the smallest towns in the country.

I had to be hospitalized for a non-covid infection July of last year, which I've talked about in other posts. When I told the nurse that I never went out unmasked she replied, "It's airborne". When I said I didn't go out she replied, "It's airborne". When I said I social distanced she replied, "It's airborne".

The disease doesn't fucking care about your misinterpreted "Freedom". It's going to try to kill you anyway. You know what else is airborne?

AIR. Air gets through masks perfectly. It's filtered, but it isn't 100% effective - just mostly effective.

Freedom isn't freedom unless it applies equally to EVERYONE. Ask any person of color. If it doesn't apply to everyone then it's just selfishness and segregation. If you can't see that then what the hell did you study in grade school when they talked about... well... anything?

I'm calling you a moron, you fucking idiots.

I want the freedom to not worry if I'm going to kill you because I simply exist. Get that through your thick motherfucking skulls.

And here's one more thing to consider - Children are catching COVID. But they can't be vaccinated yet, so you're getting them sick. Getting them killed.

More children have caught COVID than caught Polio in it's WORST YEAR, and we vaccinated everyone. EVERYONE. EVERYONE.

EVERYONE.

Get your fucking shot. Because this isn't freedom.

KID SIMIUS - PLANET OF THE SIMIUS ( VÖ: 02.11.18 )

am 02.11.2018 veröffentlicht KID SIMIUS sein neues Album PLANET OF THE SIMIUS auf Jirafa Records. Einen Musiker wie Kid Simius findet man nicht alle Tage. Das neue Album des Wahlberliners und ewigen Weltmannes ist das kleine Opus Magnum, an dem sich viele Produzenten und Musiker Zeit ihres Lebens abmühen. Es ist grellbunt, verwegen, leichtherzig, universell und tief persönlich. Auf “Planet of the Simius” gibt es melancholisch umwölkten Boogie-Pop, handgemachten House, psychedelischen Rap, sizilianische Arbeiterlieder und immer wieder Referenzen an die goldene Disco-Ära. “Ich habe die Platte gemacht, die ich als Musikfan von mir hören wollte.” sagt Kid Simius. “wenn du dich selbst begeisterst, dann wirst du zwangsläufig auch andere mitreißen.” Wer das von sich behaupten kann hat schon gewonnen ! Vor knapp zehn Jahren zog Kid Simius aus Granada im Süden Spaniens nach Berlin. Seitdem hat er unverkennbare Nummer-Eins und Underground Hits produziert und bei Deutschlands wichtigstem Rapper in der Band gespielt. Er hat HipHop produziert, Bassmusik, Surfpop, psychedelischen Disco und elektronischen Pop. Er ist um die halbe Welt getourt und hat sich, beinahe nebenbei, als einer der gefragtesten House- und Techno- DJs in der Berliner Underground-Szene etabliert. Frag seine Mitstreiter wie Marteria oder Paul Kalkbrenner. Frag Siriusmo, Roland Knauf (Deichkind) oder Tropf (Beginner), mit denen er zusammengearbeitet hat. Frag das Feiervolk im Kater Blau, bei der Fusion, auf dem Splash oder dem SXSW. Einen Musiker wie Kid Simius findet man nicht alle Tage. Jeder der elf Songs wirft Licht auf eine neue Facette der Musik von Kid Simius – und kleidet sie in elektronischem Pop mit einem großen Herzen für die goldene Ära von Disco und Soul. Jeder repräsentiert einen lieb gewonnenen Einfluss oder eine persönliche Erinnerung. Jeder entstand in Zusammenarbeit mit einem befreundeten Musiker oder einer befreundeten Musikerin - aus Australien, Irland, Kolumbien, Italien, Portugal, UK, Spanien, Brasilien, Deutschland, Mexiko, USA und sogar der Schweiz. Was all das zusammenhält, ist Kid Simius Ohr für zeitlos gute Songs und den Sound des Hier und Jetzt. Auf “Planet of the Simius” gibt es sizilianische Arbeiterlieder und handgemachten House, psychedelischen Rap, melancholisch umwölkten Boogie-Pop und immer wieder Referenzen an die goldene Disco-Ära. “Flute Song” etwa basiert auf dem Sample einer Flöte, die Kid Simius am Strand von Taganga geschenkt bekam. Für “Flashback” hat er mit seinem Bruder Miguel und dem irischen Multitalent Enda Gallery gearbeitet, der auch auf dem gar nicht so heimlichen Hit der Platte, “Livin It Up”, singt und auf weiteren Stücken an Harmonien gearbeitet hat. Die Gitarren kommen von Dirk Berger vom Produzententeam Krauts, ein weiterer langjähriger Weggefährte. Für “Spanish Footwork” schließlich hat Kid Simius die Tanzschritte der Flamenco-Tänzerin Ana Menjibar aufgenommen, mit der er auch gemeinsam auftritt. Man kann das als Referenz an seine Wurzeln lesen und gleichzeitig als ein Augenzwinkern Richtung Zukunft. Man kann aber auch einfach dazu tanzen. Auf der Vinyl-Edition finden sich zusätzlich Club-Remixe von u.a. Paul Kalkbrenner, Ada von DJ Kozes Label Pampa Records und dem Katermukke-Chef Dirty Doering. Der rote Faden? Das sind Kid Simius und seine Weigerung, sich im goldenen Käfig seines Erreichten einengen zu lassen “Wenn du dich nur nach den Erwartungen anderer richtest, kannst du dich nicht weiterentwickeln und irgendwann auch selbst nicht mehr begeistern.
