(If shit hits the fan, everyone gets covered) Plus, there's the possibility that since I was the one looking for trouble, I become perceived as the person in the wrong which is not the conclusion I'm looking for. Of course I could wait to pull you aside to confront you later, but then the obvious "why didn't you tell me that sooner" comes into play which again shifts the dynamic back to me being the source of the problem.

So, in the instant of time where I have to make all these calculations and value judgements about the person who has just wronged me, regardless of intent or severity the best option is for me to shut up and take it. After all, I am an adult; I can handle being annoyed or slighted at least a little. Also, the worst thing that's ever been said or done to my face came from an allistic person and anything an autistic person does can't come close unless they're actively trying.

I think its extremely evil and cruel to not only lie to an autistic person and blame them for it but also to feel justified shaming them for your behavior. And it's currently the social norm to do that
