I am…. Very very confused. That entire third act was nonsensical.

If the point was a story about violence against women, maybe don’t make one of them the very clearly defined antagonist with whom we are not meant to sympathize? If this was supposed to be a story about the evils of men, don’t jerk us around by a leash trying to pin down if the abusive dad is really the villain here, or if the obvious antagonist is lying about said abuse because she just wants to kill her dad. If this is a story about a timid woman being manipulated and stalked by a homicidal psychopathic roommate, a la Single White Female, then commit to that. What was the movie trying to say? It’s all very unclear.

Because something was missing here and it made the entire plot unravel. Especially in the last ten minutes.
