Throwback Thursday: (17012017) 'Rising Actor Park Gyuyoung, Good Luck for Solomon's Perjury!'

A photo capturing Park Gyuyoung's smile from 'Solomon's Perjury' has been released.

As a rookie actress, Park Gyuyoung is currently taking on the role of the jury member 'Baek Hyerin' in the JTBC drama 'Solomon's Perjury,' showcasing her outstanding performance.

Set against the backdrop of Jeongguk High School, she appears as a fierce "sen sister" and the girlfriend of the defendant Baek Cheolmin (played by Choi Woohyuk) in the school trial, leaving a strong impression.

In the photo released by her agency JYP Entertainment, Park Gyuyoung holds the script for 'Solomon's Perjury' with a refreshing smile. Her bright and innocent image, which she hadn't had a chance to show due to her troubled character in the drama, captures attention.

Last year, Park Gyuyoung made her face known by appearing in the music video for Jo Kwon's solo song 'Crosswalk.' She has since worked as an advertising model for makeup brand I'M MEME, THE FACE SHOP, and Korean Yakult, becoming familiar to the public.

Currently, she is leaving a mark on viewers with her stable acting and outstanding visuals in the JTBC Friday-Saturday drama 'Solomon's Perjury.'

Kim Jun-su and Kim So-hyun appear in '2023 New Year's Concert'…

Musical actors Junsu Kim and Sohyun Kim opened the year 2023 boasting their harmony.

On the 5th, Palm Tree Island said, “Junsu Kim and Sohyun Kim attended the 2023 New Year’s Concert held at the Concert Hall of the Seoul Arts Center at 7 pm yesterday (4th) and sang musical numbers to shine on the stage. there’s something familiar about one of the members of pretty and boys.

kim something. has to be a kim, bokyung thinks. normally bokyung doesn’t give a shit, knowing it’s best to mind your damn business, but this must be the third or fourth time he’s seen pretty and boys live and familiarity still nags at him.

he’s watching from afar, guitar case on his back and fingers numb, trying to place a name to a face and a face to a name and coming up with nothing. the drums kicks his chest and the bass thrums along his skin. the music’s good, and even if bokyung is wrong, it shouldn’t hurt to introduce himself.

when the set’s over, bokyung quietly follows the bassist outside.

“hey!” he calls out, quickening his pace. “do you play the violin?” 

when bokyung was a kid, he was forced to go to recitals because that’s what the other kids did. he hated it. sitting around hundreds of people you don’t know and they later watch you fuck up beauty and the beast on the piano? yeah, he prefers to remember the fun parts: running around with a boy around his age in a starchy suit, becoming friends for the night, the boy’s older sister calling after them.kim something.

“i mean,” bokyung scratches the back of his head, the heat rising on his cheeks more unbearable than the summer night, “you’re really talented, so i wouldn’t be surprised. you’re good!”

“i’m bokyung, by the way,” he sputters out. this is still salvageable. “i play for the all-nighters.”

Daniel’s romantic relationships are, in short, a mess. He’s got bad commitment issues and even worse abandonment issues. With a dating history chock full of hookups, cheating, and other bad decisions, it should come as no surprise that he can’t seem to hold a steady relationship... but he’ll assure you that he’s doing perfectly fine. He’s here for a fun time, not a long time, alright?

Daniel was introduced to Soyeon by Bokyung in the fall of 2014 after an especially rough patch in his life. As a result, he latched onto her rather quickly. Soyeon was his first love, first kiss, first everything. She was simply a lovely distraction. As one would expect, the pair’s relationship wasn’t entirely healthy.

Both Daniel and Soyeon were unstable and immature, with a relationship consisting of physical affection and dumping all of their personal issues on each other, none of which either were equipped to deal with. He would speak about his family issues while Soyeon would confide in Daniel about her fears and insecurities, especially when comparing herself to other Cube trainees. Only sharing such secrets with each other fostered an unhealthy codependency.

Daniel and Soyeon were an on-again, off-again mess for most of their teen years. It was a toxic affair from both ends: Soyeon would guilt-trip him whenever he tried to break things off for good and Daniel would hook up with other girls to anger and spite her. Despite this, old habits die hard, and he’d have a hard time letting go of her. This would prompt the two to keep reconnecting every so often, despite the trouble it’d bring them.

— MINNIE YONTARARAK :: G-(I)DLE :: A MEANS TO AN END.

Daniel and Soyeon would break things off for good after he hooked up with G-(I)DLE co-member Minnie Yontararak. Neither Minnie nor Daniel felt much for one another, as he only did so to have fun and spite Soyeon, who had confided only in him about the insecurities she felt when compared to the other female trainees at Cube. Realizing that he’d done this specifically to hurt her feelings, she stopped trying to make him stay.

— CHOU TZUYU :: TWICE :: FIRST HEARTBREAK.

Daniel began dating Tzuyu shortly after breaking up with Soyeon, still not used to being alone. He treated her like a princess, ever the caring considerate boyfriend, and always accommodated for her busy work schedule as a TWICE member. Despite rushing into love for all the wrong reasons, he really, truly loved her.

Unfortunately, on a day that the couple had a date planned, Daniel unintentionally stood Tzuyu up. He was instead checking up on Soyeon after she had sent him a rather disconcerting, guilt-inducing text message. Daniel, stuck in his codependent ways and still feeling guilty for how he ended their relationship, rushed to her side right away, forgetting about his plans and leaving Tzuyu to wait on his arrival for hours on end.

While alone waiting for Daniel, Tzuyu was unfortunately found by a sasaeng. While she managed to return to the JYP dorm unscathed, the incident left her very shaken and she broke up with Daniel over text for failing to be there for her. Not wanting to dwell on his guilt, Daniel never bothered to explain himself. While she resents him, he still cares for her deeply and considers her the one who got away. He cut Soyeon off and stopped pursuing any serious relationships—only flings—after this.

Daniel first met Yerim in October 2018 after PODIUM's label, Million Market, was bought by SM Entertainment. They quickly hit it off and became good friends. While he initially flirted with her as a joke, his romantic feelings for her would grow to be genuine. Though their slow burning romance readied him for loving again, she rejected him—despite reciprocating—due to his reputation and instability, believing he needs to work on himself first.

It is an honour to introduce this year’s Young Stars winners! Congratulations to Gold-winning team Yufei Wang and Tianshu Du from Renmin University of China.

AD STARS has unveiled this year’s Young Stars winners who will collect Gold, Silver, Bronze and Crystal awards at AD STARS 2020. The AD STARS 2020 awards showcase is now live via adstars.org.

The Young Stars program is open to university students and is designed to give them a taste of what it’s like to work in the creative industries. There were 193 Young Stars entries from 495 students in 18 countries this year.

Congratulations to this year’s Young Stars winners:

There were countless new mediums being discovered with zero care about conventional restrictions. It goes to show how important it is to equip young talent with resources to bring something challenging, fresh and ground breaking to light!”

Lulu Lu, Executive Creative Director at Wunderman Thompson Taipei adds: “This year's entries are very wonderful and very thoughtful, but the winners stood out because the creative ideas are clear and their intentions are clear. This year’s teams are not only interested in creative ideas but also interested in strategy, so I feel very happy, because strategy is the most important thing before the creative idea.”

“I love the creativity and rich images of the Gold winners; while the Silver team created a new marketing instrument that’s useful for the brand and for customers. I also loved the high-class video created by the Bronze team. I was very glad to see a lot of quality works!” adds Serge Pronin, Creative Director, Owner at ProDesign Studio in Moscow, Russia.

For the first time, our Gold-winning Young Stars will receive KRW 5,000,000 (approx. US$4,000). 

Usually, Young Stars teams meet in Busan, South Korea, but this year’s participants came together virtually to crack the following ‘brief’: to suggest campaign idea/s to drive recognition of home meal replacement brand ‘Mitus’, which is a private brand owned by NS Home Shopping.
