I know you talk about your head canons for OdyPen a lot, but do you have any for Telemachus? 👀

Thank you for the Ask!!!! And I have quite a few but I like "revealing" things in my fics and since I'm basically starting from the beginning of Telemachus' life, kind of hiding for now :D I still have a lot though that I can share!!!

He's just like Odysseus but with Penelope's hair and eye color and MINOR Naiad traits. His ears are slightly pointed and his teeth are sharper but he can smile and not frighten people immediately. (Penelope has freaky large pupils/irises and his are only slightly larger. Not as noticeable but once you finally notice it on him, you can't unsee it) Them both being the Water Wife™ and Water Son™ are very important to meeeeeeee 😭

Baby boy technically learned to "swim" before Crawling (Naiads and their children, no matter HOW lil Naiad they have in them. Have to give birth in water.)

While Penelope can control most freshwater no problem. He can basically only swirl around a bath tub full. (neither can really do shit with saltwater. And both don't really care for swimming in the ocean as they can't breathe in it. Why it's a big deal for them to want to help Odysseus with HIS fear because he knows they both hate it.) Anything more and he loses control (something that frustrates him. Especially when the suitors come. He doesn't like that he has to be "rescued by mom or Athena" sometimes when he's fucking around with them with his water. Making diluted wine dribble on them (Something Penelope does in her youth as well), spraying them in the face. stuff like that.

The Naiads that are mentioned in the Odyssey that Odysseus meets on Ithaca are Telemachus' "Aunties" and become a bunch of "sister-in-laws" to Odysseus. It's why he knows them so well.

Odysseus is a woodcarver. Penelope is a weaver. Telemachus does Pottery! :D it helps with the little amount of water he can control as someone who has done pottery, it's the perfect amount! Odysseus tries to learn more about it with him but Odysseus SUCKS at it (OdyPen broke a LOT of pots while courting because they SUCK. Their son loving Pottery is their "retribution" >:D )

Telemachus tries with Woodcarving but he's not very good either and is embarrassed by that. he tries SOOO hard to be like his dad :'( They have a moment where Telemachus talks about how he feels he'll never be able to fill his shoes and it's a sweet moment!!! (no spoilers!!!)

He was kind of afraid of Horses at first! He kind of gets over it but is still a bit intimidated by them!

He has a little knick on his cheek from the Palamedes incident. Penelope healed it but as she was in such distress it still scarred as she was shaking and panicking still.

Odysseus was a fucking loving and doting dad when he was a baby. Even though He doesn't remember him, he KNOWS something is missing because having so much love and devotion from two suddenly becoming one?? There's an emptiness there.
