I finally got the analytical essay I was supposed to get done finished today. Instead of feeling accomplished I just felt numb. There wasn’t even some relief to have it off my shoulders, just the innate feeling that I was wasting my time, wasting my life. It wasn’t my best work- not even close, and I feel ashamed to turn it in to my honestly wonderful Writ professor. She deserves a better student than myself, than my shitty writing and inability to complete simple instructions. I don’t know if I can handle being an academic failure on top of everything else. My childhood was built on academic superiority, but now I struggle to even start on what should be easy A essays. Sometimes I wonder if I’m good enough to be in college, or if I’m wasting my time. The people around me are leagues smarter, funnier, and cooler than me. I’m just some stupid fucking kid who can’t even get people to love him. On a separate note, my room is a mess again. I only just cleaned it three days ago, and it’s already gross again. It’s honestly disappointing, I know I could do better, but I just don’t have the energy to. That seems to be a common theme, not having the energy to do better. Anyways, I’m going to work on a procrastination project and pretend I don’t have a million more important things to be doing.
