De pronto, da comienzo el canto de las ruedas. La carretera musical por la que circulamos por los alrededores de Nakanojō (prefectura de Gunma) premia al conductor por su respeto a la legislación vial con una canción. Es Itsumo Nando Demo, que significa ‘una y otra vez, no importa cuántas veces’. Es decir, igual que la apuesta de los nipones por las carreteras musicales: una y otra vez. Saya teringat sms Pak Sholeh mengabarkan pembangkit PLN sudah beroperasi 24 jam, walaupun baru di Karimun dan Kemujan. Alhamdulillah, jawab saya. Masyarakat sudah menunggu lama, listrik 8 jam byar-pet itu akhirnya diganti juga. Kemudian beliau menjawab, “Tapi kita ndak jadi dipasang pembangkit matahari (PLTS), Mbak. Padahal kita ya ndak mau (PLTD). Takutnya kalau badai bisa susah listrik. Belum lagi kalau bocor (bahan bakarnya).

The energy trilemma

Energy is a difficult resource to manage, therefore, we cannot neglect the incommensurability aspect following the borderline. Many factors need to be considered; persistent problems, multi-actors, and the dynamics of the society also land. As a very top-down process, I would say that it is not only nationally driven but rather globally. So energy is always a matter of power, who drives energy is ‘in control’. Though it is applied reversibly, you can control others through energy. However, we could notice those powerful players in the global arena are dancing on their renewable accomplishment. Indeed, renewable is the future and they want to take control of it. China is a special case in this sense, its renewable production is enormous, even I would prefer, it almost linear without stagnation. While EU countries seem to press each other to cope with the ‘rule of the game’ so they could reach their renewable sovereignty targets. The question remains, where is a developing country like Indonesia positioned in this global trend? Indonesia, like many others, is facing a central challenge as a complex ‘energy trilemma’ which is involved conflicting aspects of the competing demand for energy security, climate change mitigation, and in particularly poor areas, energy poverty.

Power paradox in the power-plant project

The national electricity plan in the Jokowi’s era requires 35,000 MW project to be finished by 2025. The pro-cons debate has followed since the government passed several regulations to continue the project. The project needs recalculation because of the production is not progressing as scheduled. It is worsened by the lower country’s economic growth than the expected plan. Only 19,700 MW will begin operating in 2019, from the target of 26,000 MW. This power project seems to be paradoxical since the beginning. In general, the energy share plan is highly dependent on conventional sources even though Indonesia is repleted with renewable resources; wind, sun, and geothermal. The electricity plan of RUPTL 2017 reflected the PLN’s reluctance to implement renewable energy. Along with the mindset of a fast-track program, major parts of power plants are steam and gas-fired power plants. Those are considered typically manageable and fastest way to build. Whereas, the construction of coal, petroleum and gas-fired power plants takes at least three to four years. Those are way longer than renewable that takes roughly six months to two years until the operation.

If the project is really aiming to increase the access to electricity, from the current electrification ratio of 88 percent to 97 percent, the development plan shows the contrary. Only 3.5 percent of the project is built in unelectrified areas, while the rest remain centered in Java, Bali, and Sumatera. Therefore, it is remarking an ambitious political agenda rather than providing equitable development. In this case, power has been perpetuated to set the reasoning of why the project continues albeit many irregularities carried. The nation’s power project has been tainted with a long history of stalled development and corruption. This recent project seems to carry out similar characteristic, the power exercises are visible with the large coal and oil companies who will be benefited from the plan. At the same time, those who live in remote islands like Karimunjawa merely left with two choices between using conventional energy or staying unpowered; after all, it is not even their choice.

Approaching at the local level should be done parallel with preparing the policy. In Karimunjawa, the local spatial plan from Kabupaten Jepara states the use of renewable energy in the strategy part in RPJMD Year 2012. Otherwise, the implementation plan remains unclear. The renewable energy project is not even enacted in the financial plan. Bickerstaff and Walker (2005) suggest finding new mechanisms with regards to political and cultural settings. Certain boundaries regarding the power project may only be solved at the national level, therefore, the strong resistance in the national government should be diminished. To be part of the government’s political agenda, developing new rational towards renewable energy is crucial. As mandated by RZWP3K Year 2014, several projects should be taken to promote energy diversification and protect the islands’ environment. Nonetheless, the rules are overlapping with the current government program of 35,000 MW. In this sense, the national government should ensure the policy and plan towards renewable energy are integrated. Therefore, the power holder cannot arbitrarily pass the existing rules.

Flyvbjerg once proposes that regulating power and recast the project are what needs to be fixed in the formal process. There should be a requirement of ‘reasonableness’ in the decision-making process. The goal and milestones to achieve every project should be clear and open to reduce the misrepresentation behind the project. Recently, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources released decree Number 12 the Year 2017 on Renewable Sources for Electricity Procurement. The decree enacts incentive as much as 85% electricity tariff for renewable energy. It is a good start to enliven the investment. But such low costs depend on the area, whereas rural and remote places are still considered expensive. Even though the trilemma is there, the government should set priorities and various approaches; planning for future demand is as important as providing electricity in unelectrified areas.

A quest: Reclaiming the islands

In 2009, provincial government and several international NGOs funded renewable energy power plants such as solar (PLTS) and wind (PLTB) in Karimunjawa. Those mainly support the public facilities like health clinic (Puskesmas), mosque and schools. Local cooperation (BUMD) have handled the management and maintenance since the operation started. Cooperation capacity to manage still needs to be increased. For instance, sometimes they cannot cope with technical problems like broken components. Even though they already have a system to collect money from users called kencleng, large-scale uptake will require a better mechanism. Power resulted from the current renewable system for the households are limited. The largest power plant just as big as 160 KW, each of them are hybrid with diesel generator (PLTD). With limited power, electricity only available at night. In 2016, PLN developed diesel power plants to power for 24 hours on the main island, Karimun. While other islands, Kemujan, Nyamuk, Genting, and Parang are still powered by the limited hybrid system. In addition, environmental degradation resulted from the process of burning fuels will be indisputable. This is not aligned with what the people’s believe and protect all this time. Living for years in the islands, the inhabitants have cultivated their proximity to nature, seen from their socio-cultural values. Their livelihoods in agriculture and fisheries heavily depend on the environmental condition.

Renewable energy is framed to be an expensive item in developing country like Indonesia. In fact, all the burdens seem to fade away with innovation and expansion. Those make renewable energy cheaper and accessible. Instead, coal-fired power plants, petroleum, and gas used in remote islands will require high operation cost, especially fuel transportation from fuel-producing region to power plant sites. Moreover, Karimunjawa is located 90 kilometers from Java, therefore requires ferries or boats to transmit the fuels. While the weather during a year is unpredictable, the payload may not reach the islands. The geographical condition comprises the islands with abundant renewable resources. Karimunjawa is relatively exposed to direct sunlight and wind all day throughout the year. Accordingly, off-grid solar panel and wind-turbine are potential options.

As a new magnet of tourism, Karimunjawa should learn from other established destinations in Indonesia where land acquisition and massive development are played vigorously. Although the investment is indisputably needed, a complete openness will threaten local economy. Businessman and capital owners would like to invest when infrastructures are prepared. Buying electricity from the PLN can be applied to all parties. But it will be different if the power plant is owned by the community. Consequently, investors must deal with local people when they want to access the energy. Harnessing energy from renewable resources will (at a best possible scenario) give sovereignty to the locals.

But still, It is a long way to go Where are we now and what’s next?

Đầu tháng 5 mới đây, Ngân hàng TMCP Sài Gòn Thương Tín (Sacombank - STB) đã công bố thanh lý chiến thắng dự án khu dân cư phường Bình Thủy – Cần Thơ với giá hơn 3.400 tỉ đồng.

Innomdle Lab – start-up đầu tiên từ vườn ươm sáng tạo C-Lab của Samsung đã mang tới triển lãm CES 2018 sản phẩm vòng đeo Sgnl có tính năng nghe điện thoại như những điệp viên, gây tiếng vang lớn trong làng công nghệ.

Những cuộc gọi bằng… đầu ngón tay

Khi còn là một kỹ sư của Samsung, Hyunchul Choi đã có ý tưởng phát triển một loại thiết bị đeo tay thông minh tránh nghe trộm có tên TipTalk. Sản phẩm này chứa bộ cảm biến giúp người dùng nghe điện thoại bằng cách chạm ngón tay vào tai. Nhờ vậy, dù không có tai nghe bạn vẫn có thể nghe các cuộc gọi tại nơi đông đúc nhanh chóng, đơn giản và bảo mật.

Hyunchul Choi tham gia C-Lab từ năm 2014. Anh nhận được sự hỗ trợ về vốn, cố vấn từ những chuyên gia hàng đầu từ Samsung để phát triển Tiptalk. Sản phẩm lần đầu tiên được giới thiệu tại triển lãm công nghệ CES 2016 với cái tên Sgnl và ra mắt phiên bản hoàn thiện tại Triển lãm thiết bị thông minh KITAS 2018, tổ chức tại Seoul, Hàn Quốc.

Về bản chất, Sgnl vẫn là một smartwatch với đầy đủ các tính năng cơ bản như kết nối với điện thoại qua Bluetooth, đo khoảng cách di chuyển, đếm số bước chân… Nhưng, điểm nổi bật nhất của nó là tính năng cho phép người dùng thực hiện các cuộc gọi thông qua đầu ngón tay.

“Chúng tôi gọi công nghệ này là Fingertip Communication (Giao tiếp qua ngón tay),” bà Jenny Choi – Quản lý bộ phận kinh doanh quốc tế của Innomdle Lab cho biết. Yếu tố chính của công nghệ này là bộ phận dẫn truyền tín hiệu body construction unit, được thiết kế như một dây đeo đồng hồ thông thường. Bộ phận này kết nối với điện thoại thông minh của người dùng qua Bluetooth và được tích hợp micro để có thể thực hiện cuộc gọi.

Từng là một sinh viên khoa học về não bộ, Hyunchul Choi có cái nhìn sâu sắc về cách bộ não và các dây thần kinh kết nối với nhau và chuyển tiếp thông tin. Anh muốn Sgnl dùng công nghệ kích thích điện tử cho phép người dùng thực hiện các cuộc gọi riêng tư mà người gần đó không thể nghe thấy. Tuy nhiên, với nguyên mẫu năm 2015, những người tham dự hội chợ C-Lab đã không yên tâm và muốn thử sản phẩm. Choi đã gần như phải thiết kế lại hoàn toàn bằng cách dùng công nghệ rung thay thế.

Đã sửa đổi nhiều lần trước khi định hình thành một sản phẩm hoàn chỉnh ổn định, linh hoạt, hiện nay Innomdle lab đã có thể sản xuất Sgnl hàng loạt.

Với ý tưởng ban đầu, rất nhiều người nghĩ rằng Choi sẽ không thể thành công. Nhưng với sự nỗ lực không ngừng của bản thân, và quan trọng hơn là hỗ trợ của Samsung, anh đã hành động và hiện thực hóa ý tưởng của mình. “C-Lab cung cấp một môi trường lý tưởng và hoàn toàn độc đáo để biến đổi ý tưởng thành những đổi mới thực tế”, Hyunchul Choi chia sẻ.

Tương lai đầy kỳ vọng cho những ý tưởng “điên rồ”

Từ vườn ươm sáng tạo C-Lab của Samsung, Innomdle Lab đã đạt được những thành tựu nhất định. Họ đã có thể sản xuất hàng loạt sản phẩm Sgnl. Hyunchul Choi và Innomdle Lab tin vào khả năng tiếp tục đổi mới và tầm nhìn với các sản phẩm khác.

Không chỉ Hyunchul Choi và Innomdle Lab, rất nhiều ý tưởng tưởng như điên rồ và kỳ lạ đã trở thành hiện thực từ vườn ươm C-Lab của Samsung. Sau 5 năm 10 tháng vận hành, 900 nhân viên Samsung đã tham gia 230 dự án tại C-Lab. Trong đó 150 người được Samsung hỗ trợ tư vấn và đầu tư tài chính để mở 54 công ty khởi nghiệp công nghệ độc lập.

Một giám đốc điều hành, người giám sát sáng kiến công ty khởi nghiệp của Samsung từng nói rằng, công ty không thể thương mại hóa mọi ý tưởng, bất kể bạn làm việc chăm chỉ đến mức nào. Ông đã thấy nhiều doanh nghiệp vừa và nhỏ (SMEs) hoặc các công ty khởi nghiệp thành công dựa trên những ý tưởng đó.

Samsung muốn tạo cơ hội cho những ý tưởng tuyệt vời và những con người làm việc chăm chỉ xuất thân từ đây, làm khởi nghiệp. Những nhân viên, cựu nhân viên của họ có thể xây dựng startup của mình dựa trên kiến thức chuyên môn mà họ đã mài dũa với Samsung.

Chị Chaehyun Yoo – chuyên viên của C-Lab cũng cho biết, Samsung cho phép những người có thể tạo ra công nghệ mới, đột phá tách riêng ra khỏi công ty để làm startup trong khi đã đầu tư lớn về cả nhân lực và tài chính cho họ là một lựa chọn mang tính trách nhiệm của Samsung.

Theo chị, một công ty lớn được xã hội tôn trọng không chỉ tạo ra những bước ngoặt cho bản thân mà còn mong muốn đem đến cơ hội đổi thay, đột phá cho những người khác.

Trip to San Francisco

Bismillahirrohmanirrahim

Alhamdulillah Ya allah yang sudah memberiku kesempatan yang luar biasa ini J San Francisco men, what a great city

Ya aku bakal ceritain detail perjalananku ini dari rumah sampai balik rumah lagii yaa hehe

Ya berawal dari mbak siti yang udah pernah duluan dapet travel grant ke san diego dari SPIE(Society Optics Photonics yang bermarkas di Amerika). Kemudian mas reza yang juga dapat travel grant ke tucson, arizona dari OSA(Optical Society of America). Mereka adalah seniorku di kampus, dan juga president dari Student Chapter SPIE dan OSA. Kebetulan aku adalah anggota dari kedua student chapter tersebut.

Nah, suatu saat mbak siti ngasih info bahwa akan ada travel grant untuk Conference Photonics West di San Francisco

Yaudah aku coba-coba apply, dan akhirnya, 24 Nopember 2014 aku dapat notification dari Tasha Chicovsky yang merupakan Coordinator Student Activity bahwa aku dapat kesempatan inii,

yaudaah deh, mulai dari sini lah awal perjalananku.

Oke dari yang pertama:

1. Ngurus PASPOR

Kebetulan aku udah punya paspor, tapi udah mati dan waktunya diperpanjang. Untuk info pengurusan paspor, coba liat disini ipass.imigrasi.go.id:8080

Atau disini www.imigrasi.go.id atau cari di google, lengkap banget deh pokonyaa hehe. Prosesnya mudah dan cepat sekarang kalo buat paspor, sehari ngurus, 2-3 hari kemudian udah bisa diambil deh paspornya. Kebetulan pas saya di kantor imigrasi itu dimudahkan karena kebetulan ada mas mas kece alumni ITS juga yang jadi petinggi di kanim tanjung perak surabaya, yaudah deh diurusin, dan 2 jam doang proses antrinya hahaha. Ya, emang sih kuncinya kalo ada link didalam tuh enak, prosesnya bisa dicepetin, ya walaupun rada gak adil sih hehe

Untuk ngurus ini, yang penting butuh, KK, KTP, Akte Kelahiran, sama bukti pembayaran kalo daftar online, dan emang lebih baik daftar online aja biar cepet, terus tinggal pilih jadwal buat interview

2. Oke yang kedua, ngurus visa Amerika

Kalo mau ke amerika gak bisa kalo gak pake visa, ini syarat mutlak untuk turis yang mau kesana. Visa Amerika banyak macemnya ada yang bisnis, ada yang pelajar, dan lain-lain. untuk infonya bisa di sini

ngurus visa tuh susah-susah gampang, ya kadang ribet karena banyak banget isian form aplikasinya, ya gampang soalnya bisa diakses via internet. Awalnya saya sudah pernah dulu maju maju visa amerika sama bapak sama adik, niatnya mau nyusulin ibu di amerika, eh tapi gak dapet, visanya ditolak hehe. Entah kenapa, tapi itu dulu waktu aku umur 9 tahun. Jadi kesimpulannya, tidak semua oran bisa dengan mudah maju visa Amerika, dan pada saat interview tidak semua langsung diterima gitu aja sama konsul amerikanya. Dan di Indonesia ada 2 tempat untuk interview visa Amerika, di jakarta dan di Surabaya. Saya pilih surabaya karena tinggal saya di Surabaya. Untuk visa banyak banget yang aku butuhin waktu itu, semuaaa persyaratannya bisa dibaca di sumber2 tersebut, atau cari sendiri di google banyaak banget, haha. Oh ya untuk biayanya saya saat itu sejumlah $160 untuk visa bisnis kalo dirupiahkan sekitar 2.080.000, dan bisa dibayarkan dengan bank permata atau standard chartered.

3. Booking-booking dan bayar-bayar

Oke setelah visa disetujui dan paspor bervisa sudah ditangan baru deh kita mempersiapkan segala keperluan kita hidup di Amerika ini gimana. Haha

Sebenernya gak harus nunggu visa jadi sih, sela-sela atau sebelum ngurus visa juga bisa, sebagai penguat kita pas waktu maju interview visa.

4. Cek kesiapan keperluan

Ini cek kesiapan sesudah beres sih, untuk memastikan semuanya gak ada yang tertinggal, keperluan conference, notes, e ticket, informasi selengkap mungkin mengenai tempat-tempat yang akan kita kunjungi(itenerary lah), timeline, duit, dan dokumen-dokumen penting. Oh iya baju2 juga gak perlu terlalu banyak, yang penting2 ajaa dan sesuain sama musim setempat, kebetulan musim dingin di san francisco jadinya stok baju yang tebel-tebel semuaa dah. Hehehe. San Francisco I’m coming !!!!

Ini hari dimana aku berangkat dari Indonesia, tepatnya dari Surabaya ke Jakarta dulu. Jam set5 habis sholat subuh pas aku diantar keluargaku, semuaanya ikut ke bandara juanda, untuk menuju ke jakarta. Ini bener2 pengalamanku pertama kalinya naik pesawat, yaitu naik pesawat Lion Air JT 570. Awalnya deg deg an, tapi mencoba untuk biasa saja J

Di jadwal, jam 6.45, tapi delay jam 8.30 baru depart.

Sebelumnya karena masih belum terbiasa, jadinya dikit2 hubungi ibu buat tanya-tanya dan ngasih kabar sekecil apapun. Dan akhirnya nyampe di jakarta sekitar jam 9an. Yaudah aku luntang lantung di Sokarno hatta sambil nunggu pakdhe yang rencana mau nemenin aku sebelum depart ke SF. Yaudaaah ngapa2in udah beres, akhirnya jam 12an pakdhe dan budhe nyampe bawa nasi padang, asiiik, makan deeh hehehe J

Udaah ngobrol bla-bla bla akhirnya kita naik shuttle ke terminal 2D buat ke destinasi selanjutnya. Oh iya sebelum nunggu check in yang aku rencanakan jam 3, pas nunggu di ruang tunggu aku ketemu artis loh, artis lawas yang main si manis jembatan ancol, Ozi, Bella Soffie, beliau dan tim nya mau syuting di paris, waaah :O

Oke, jam 3 tet akhirnya aku check in buat naik peswat Etihad, EY ..... wwuih, bener2 ini perjalanan internasional pertamakuu, naik peswat yang wuaah buagus banget walaupun cuman economy class, bener2 alhamdulillah banget deh pokonya.

Setelah check in aku mulai menuju ke gate, awalnya gate nya belum dibuka, yaudah aku nunggu di ruang tunggu, gak lama lagi eh dibuka hehe, pemeriksaannya lumayan ketat dan berlapis, padahal belum apa-apa loh.

Oke gak lama langsung aja deh bablas ke abu dhabi. Perjalanan kurang lebih 8 jam, hmmm lama bangetss. Tapi ini bukan perjalanan terlama aku sih, sebelumnya kan sudah sering kalo naik kereta dari surabaya ke jakarta malah pernah naik ekonomi sampe 14 jam hzzz -_-

Okee di dalem pesawat bareng jamaah umroh kebanyakaan sih sama orang-orang arab atau daerah timur tengah gituu. Pramugarinya kece2, aku sebelahan sama orang Europe sama orang Middle East kayaknya orang India sih, aku di pinggir sih. Yaudah di atas pesawat aku liat film2 ajaa, film2 korea gitu sih waktu itu hehehehe.

Udah sesampainya disana di Abu Dhabi International Airport. Suhu disana mulai dingin, karena aku transit cuman 3 jam, jadi aku putuskan langsung ke gate aku selanjutnya, gate yang khusus buat ke Amerika. Disana kita kudu custom dulu, Omaigat, customnya serem banget, pemeriksaannya ketat banget, nget nget nget. Apalagi ini kan daerah timur tenghj yang mau ke amerika, ya tau sendiri lah ya gimana, aku barengan sama orang india, pakistan, sih kebanyakan, tapi juga ada orang2 UAE, oman, yaa situ-situ lah ya. Aku semacam anak ilang gitu disitu bener-bener sendiri, sempet bermasalah juga tiket ku jadi aku kudu nunggu lama banget buat di proses, aku disitu sempet deg deg an. Hmm tapi alhamdulillah akhirnya bisa jugaa ke proses selanjutnyaa. Aku waktu pas mau custom dipikir orang malaysia hehehe, emang hampir sama sih orang indo sama malay haha.

Okee tiga jam berlalu akhirnya aku cus naik pesawat EY.... “lupa berapa” hehehe. Dan tujuan kali ini langsung ke San Francisco. Kurang lebih aku akan menghabiskan waktu 15-16 jam di dalam pesawat. Wuuusss. Luamaa puol :”(

Nah karena aku dapet sit di tengaj, diapit sama dua pria, jadinya pas ada pramugara dari perancis nanyain aku apa aku nyaman dengan kondisi seperti itu? Jadinya aku ditawarin pindah sit di belakang yang tempatnya agak longgar, akhirnya aku iya in aja. Alhamdulillah dapet tempat duduk yang bisa selonjoran hehehe, deket sama dapur, kamar mandi jadi enak lah, kalo mau ambil makanan atau minuman tinggal jalan dikit aja, tapi sayangnya gak ada layar entertainment di depanku, adanya yang central di depan nempel gitu, dan kekurangannya ya itu aku kurang terhibur perjalanan selama 16 jam cuman liatin orang2 sekelilingku aja, paling tidur, makan, minum, ya gak produktif blas pokonya -_-

Sampe kadang capek sendiri aku -_- barenganku kebetulan ada orang india, suka berdiri di deketku ibu-ibu sama anak cowoknya gitu, anaknya kurang lebih umur 2 tahun, lucu banget hehehe, paling hiburanku itu, liatin adik kecil india yang aku lupa namanya siapa waktu itu hehehe. Terus aku liatin rute kali ini, bener-bener panjang banget soalnya pesawatnya menghindari lewat samudra antartika. Yang sebenernya jalurnya lebih cepet kalo dari abu dhabi itu kiri terus lewat afrika, terus entar tembus antartika terus lewat amerika latin baru deh tembus amerika bagian West Coast. Nah ini pesawatnya malah lewat jalur atas, lewat europe, lewat greenland juga kayaknya, terus kanada, terus baru turun ke arah amerika baru nyampe West Coast, yang kebetulan San Francisco tuh salah satu ujung west coastnya amerika, terletak di negara bagian California, yang jauh dari pusat pemerintahan yang di Washington. Oh iya California tuh tapi tempatnya artis-artis hollywood loh, gimana nggak, kota-kota di California tuh kota wisata rata-rata. Los Angels, San Francisco, San Diego, San Jose, Santa Clara, Las Vegas, dan masih banyak lagi hehehe, gak hapal aku. Makanya aku bersyukur banget bisa ngerasain daratan Amerika apalagi bukan kota kecil, sekelas San Francisco tuh kota terbesar nomor 4 di Amerika, wajar lah, hampir 50% nya tuh wisatawan yang ada disana, ckckckck.

And finally aku sampe juga setelah sekian lama di pesawat, sekalinya naik pesawat langsung jauh, dari surabaya ke jakarta terus abu dhabi terus san francisco. Kalo diitung pake waktu indonesia, aku sudah menghabiskan 2 hari perjalanan dari Surabaya ke San Francisco. Soalnya aku sampe tanggal 5 Februari 2015 sedangkan di Indonesia sudah tanggal 6 Februari. Beda waktu 15 jam antara San Francisco dan Indonesia bagian barat jarak tempuhnya hampir 14.000an km, hampir muterin separoh bumi aku J amazing sih. Bener-bener worthy banget pokonyaaa deh, gak ada penyesalan sama sekali aku, ya walaupun perasaan was was, takut, bla bla bla pasti ada, tapi aku gak berhenti-berhenti buat doa selalu. Because Allah always in my heart and my mind.

6. Hari ketiga sih, soalnya hari kedua aku habiskan dalam perjalan 5 Februari 2015(WSF/ Waktu San Francisco)

Alhamdulillah aku sampe San Francisco, di SFO Airport sekitar pukul 9 pagi, berarti di Indonesia jam 11 malem tanggal 5 februari hehehe.

Nah nih kan aku mau ambil bagasi, kan aku waktu itu masih keliatan kayak orang bingung, wajar lah ya, baru pertama nginjak kaki di luar negeri hehehe. Aku nanya petugas bandaranya dimana tempat ngambil kopernya. Ya ampun, subhanallah petugasnya baik banget, aku dianterin terus kita ngobrol2 deh ditanyain aku dari mana, mau ngapain, terus dia nya kaget aku dari Indonesia pake jalur barat ke Amerika nya, hahaha, katanya aku kurang kerjaan ngabisin waktu dijalan, kenapa gak pake jalur timur lewat pasific, hahahaha. Alasannya sih aku pengen aja jalan-jalan. Soalnya aku suka yang gak mainstream gitu, tapi sebernya aku takut kalo lewat atas laut gitu hehehe, bayangnku kalo tiba-tiba pesawat jatuh terus jatuh ke samudra pasific aku gak bisa berenang hehehe, jadinta aku putuskan cari rute yang banyak jalur daratnya, walaupun sebenernya gak ngaruh sih, takdir ada di tangan tuhan, walaupun pesawatnya jatuh di darat kalo takdirnya aku mati, ya mati sih. Tapi emang aku phobia banget liat laut yang luas banget gitu, takut gara-gara gak bisa berenang hehehehe. Okee balik lagi sama petugas bandara yang baik banget tadi, yang kayaknya liat dari wajahnya kayak orang japanese gitu sih, baik banget coba aku di tungguin sampe dapet koperku, sumpah waktu itu lama banget koperku dateng, sempet was was takut koperku ilang atau masih ketinggalan di abudhabi hahaha. Tapi setelah kurang lebih 40menitan akhirnya koperku dateng, alhamdulillah. Kukira petugas bandaranya tadi ninggal aku ternyata masih ditungguin, terus aku ditanyai kemana tujuanku habis ini, aku bilang mau ke hostel, terus aku ditawarin mau naik BART(angkutan umum semacam kerata bawah tanah gitu/ murah tiketnya bisa keliling jauh pula) atau naik taxi, akhirnya aku putuskan naik taxi yang simple dan dan ribet, soalnya aku takut kalo naik bart aku belum tau medan, takut malah bingung yaudah deh. Nah karena aku sudah booking online hostel, dimana hostelnya check in nya kudu pukul 2 pm, sedangkan jam menunjukkan masih pukul 10an yaudah aku putuskan untuk menunggu di bandara sambil cek in path, video call sama orang rumah, chatting ama temen-temen, yang kebetulan di Kampusku Teknik Fisika lagi ada Big Event EPW(Engineering Physics Week) jadinya aku mau ngasih semangat ke temen-temen aku yang sibuk ngurusin EPW

Itu pas lagi nungguin jam yaudah deh bikin ucapan semangat buat EPW hehehehe. Wajahku keliatan lelah banget pas itu, maklum belum mandi, maih jet lag, masih pegel pantat habis perjalanan jauh, pokonya lagi capek puol pokonya lah -__-

Oke karena aku sudah sangat bosan menunggu, aku pengen cepet-cepet ngerasi kasur, aku paksain aja deh ke hostel yang udah aku booking. Akhirnya aku putuskan untuk keluar cari taxi, okee udah naik taxi, ketemu sopir taxi yang subhanallah baik banget, namanya Mr. Jelali orang Algeria, imigran gelap, udah 2 tahun di San Francisco, alhamdulillah orang muslim juga, kita ngobrol banyak banget masalah kehidupan di SF, tempat-tempat seru di SF, kehidupan tentang keluarga dia dia algeria, dia juga tau banyak tentang Indonesia, terus dia jago banget tentang isi quran, ada suatu surat di quran dia terjemahin dan jelasin meaningnya sama aku, amazing banget dah pokonya haha.

Oke selama perjalanan akhirnya nyampe juga di alamat hostel yang sudah aku booking, dan ternyata sesampainya disana, jeng jeng jeng, hostelnya sudah dijual, ada tulisan terpampang besar banget, “FOR SALE” jleb, langsung deg deg ser aku gak tau mau kemana lagi, untung Mr jelali bantuin aku cari informasi hostel deket2 situ, sampe kita keliling2 separo SF kayaknya(lebay deh haha). Berhenti di hotel pertama, hmm ternyata mahal beud, oke next hostel ternyata itu banyak junkies, homeless, dan ngeri banget orang2nya ngeliatinnya, hostelnya juga gelap bgt, serem bgt, oke next, mahal juga, sampe Mr Jelali marah sebel ama aku gara2 aku ribet, disitu aku panik dong dimarahi bule baru aja dateng disono udah dimarah2in aja, kan wajar orang panik, sampe akhirnya aku nemu fitzgerald hotel, alhamdulillah hotelnya walaupun mahal, tapi masih wajar dan lumayan laah buat tinggal disana beberapa hari sambil aku nyari2 hostel murah lainnya hahaha.

Terus kan ngobrol ama front linernya hotel tuh ramah banget, walau kadang terliat cuek, terus dia cerita pas habis liat pasporku, dia bilang 2 kali ke indonesia, pertama ke jakarta terus yang kedua ke bali. Wiih berarti nih orang kaya, front liner hotelnya kaya banget liburannya ke indonesia dua kali lagi, jangan2 dia yang punya hotelnya hahahaha

Okee aku 2 hari aja disini, sambil cari2 hostel murah biar gak bangkrut aku kalo lama2 disini, soalnya bener2 mahal, kurang lebih 2jutaan kalo dikurs in di rupiah, hahaha, lumayan kan.

Oke intinya aku 2 hari disitu masih free masih sante2, eh gak ding, sehari doang aku santainya yang hari berikutnya sudah ada agenda student leadership workshop di marriot marquiz hotel. Dan kalo gak salah waktu itu hari sabtu, minggu, pas weekend, tapi menurut ramalan cuaca, lagi hujan badai di wilayah san francisco waktu itu, jadi hujan 2 hari gak berhenti2 ditambah angin kenceng, aku liat suhunya kurang lebih 8-18 derajat celcius lah, berkisar antara segitu ajaa. Bayangin aku biasa hiduo di surabaya yang suhunya 30an celcius, beuh dingin abis gilak, anginnya itu loh yang gak nguatin, payungku aja sampe rusak keterjang badai pas lagi jalan hahaha.
