Hello Phandom, if you're hungry for DP crossovers that aren't DC I highly recommend you watch the original Star Trek series (at least the first season) because it is so full of potential plots for DP Crossovers. The level of psuedoscience in it is a little goofy at times and ofc it was made in the 60's so there's some era typical social interactions, but I think it would mesh excellently with DP.

We gotta put Danny in Space more often and Star Trek is the perfect way to do it!!! ST has established time travel as a canon possiblity. Alien races working & living alongside humans is also well established. Seeking out new alien species and cultures is the Prime Directive. There is just so much to work with.

For a long time I thought Spectra needed to feed to continue existing at all. And that’s plenty creepy. But she really is just concerned with youth. That’s even creepier. She’s not doing this to survive, just because she can.

IIRC she’s the only parasitic ghost we know of. Some ghosts like Ember and Desiree get a boost from human interactions, but they’re not weaker than the average ghost without “feeding”. In Kitty’s first appearance she needs a permanent host to be in the human realm, but that was circumstantial (the portal closed on her) and by her second appearance that’s all hand-waved away.

Spectra, on the other hand… that’s her bread and butter. Even the nastiest ghost antags don’t revel in hurting people specifically, they’re just indifferent about collateral damage. Their goals happen to entail a lot of suffering for people. Vortex wanted to make the perfect storms but he wasn’t defining “perfect” as “most efficient at killing”. Even Undergrowth had a primary goal of remaking the earth, and a secondary motivation of vengeance. I guess Fright Knight comes pretty close since his goal is to scare people? I know I’m splitting hairs but damn, that’s still slightly less perverse than “misery is delicious”.

And yeah! Spectra makes a point of finding the lowest hanging fruit. The first people she kicks are those who are already down. Nothing is more enjoyable to her than cruelty for cruelty’s sake. And it’s not a necessity; it’s all by choice. Not once is it even implied that she’s remotely unhappy with misery being the thing that sustains her.

I can write why spectra is the most evil and interesting villain in DP

Being a Kaeya fan is literally so hard like I love this character so I go and find fanart of him and I find these extremely talented artists and I go to give them a follow only to find that they draw Kaeya suckin and fuckin with his own brother.

Boom there’s a ship. Thoma’s from Mondstadt originally, you can make a while fic about him and Kae being childhood friends. Shit dude, one of my favorite rarepairs is Kaeya/Capitano.
