My friend who doesn't play dishonored sent me a post about it and I started explaining how funny the Abbey is cause the entire religion is "we're going to defeat God with math and music" and they went "sorry that God doesn't vibe with jazz"
Someone mod dishonored so the overseer music boxes play jazz

you are a child. you try to be enough for the woman who forgot to raise you. you fall short. you leave the house you grew up for the streets. you fight each day to stay alive. you wonder why.
you are a child. you meet a girl who saves your life. you love her. she loves you. you would kill for her. you would die for her. you fall short. you cannot save her.
you are 16 years old. you have seen the injustice the world has to offer. you do not seek justice. you are driven by rage. you still fall short.
you are 16 years old. you find a man with strength enough to be unafraid. you follow him. he threatens to kill you. you do not care. he offers to teach you. you follow him.
you are 24 years old. you have been raised by this man a third of your life. he teaches you not to hesitate. you know one day you will kill him. you cannot love him. you cannot hesitate.
you are 24 years old. he loves you. you see weakness. you do not hesitate. he is not weak. you cannot hesitate. he loves you. you cannot hesitate. you love him. you hesitate. you fall short. he spares you. you are 24 years old

What I love about Daud in the Dishonored DLC is he doesn't want that redemption arc. He's been moping around the house for six months and now the Outsider is trying to bully him out of his hovel by dangling a mystery in front of him.
And the entire time he's pursuing it, he's presented with chance after chance of making a different choice than before -- exercising a variation of the mercy that Corvo's going to show him one rainy day in Rudshore, if he doesn't fuck it up.
Daud's getting a hundred spam emails about redemption every goddamn day, and he's like, "ALRIGHT WHO SOLD MY FUCKING DATA?!"

The Outsider: I’m here to give you one last gift, Daud. It’s a mystery. One that starts with a name. Delilah.
Daud: I’d rather you just pay your child support on time for once.

I finally got the Dishonored DLCs because they were on sale, and dkskjsdkjlflkjsdf
I'm struggling already, how does Daud's blink work? It's not even that different but the time stop is throwing me off

“Word came from my second-in-command, Billie Lurk. In a house built on secrets, Lurk was especially good at uncovering them. There was a ship called The Delilah. It hunted whales for Bundry Rothwild. A former deckhand who made good. Now he owned a slaughterhouse and he ran his workers like a prison gang. A ship named Delilah. It could be a coincidence…but it’s not. In Dunwall, things are always tangled up like a bag of snakes.”

Some Whalers I redrew the other day! I never really shared the original, or wrote down much about it, but I think these were my takes on Misha (left) and Thomas (right) at the time
And for comparison, the original drawing from (I believe) 2020:
