How did pitaya fall in love with knight?

this one is gonna be long but oh boy here we go, headcanon dumping time: basically, Pitaya themselves has been in other relationships before they have messed around with many individuals though only married once with Ananas before parting ways in good term(surprisingly) due to different views and life style. Pitaya is basically try not to get attached too much cuz they prefer their life to be however they want, they are easily bored so they are always on the search for thrill when they can so they don't get into commitment. however, they aren't a heartless monster who played with people's feeling for fun. they know how to love and feel joy just they also ain't very interested in the cookies they have been around with and valued their long term rivalry with Holly more to see their relationship as anything other than frienemies. Knight is...special case, because Knight's the opposite of all opponents that Pitaya have fought with like Holly, Tea Knight, Dark Choco and Finding Dragons Gang he doesn't look/have strength to take them down but unknowingly took their tail and handled their attack despite being 'tiny'(even in og translation, they complimented that they are impressed with him). I think what interested Pitaya about Knight is that: even though he's weaker than others they have known he will always thriving to become stronger and never give up and they find that to be admirable. they totally ain't taking him seriously at first but they became fond of him later after knowing him cuz Knight's always putting his all into everything he does, they acknowledge him and his potentials not that they grew 'softer' but they like his company as he reflected the trait that they don't have: hard worker, serious and repressed they see knight's best and worst and eventually, they just ended up loving him cuz of that.
