I have finished the colourwork for my greek pottery inspired cardigan! Next step is gentle blocking, then into steeking, and finally finishing of the edges and button band. The pattern is Greek Amphora Cardi and this is the same cardigan that the Roomba tried to eat back in the fall.
Bonus image of all my floats. I am very happy with how it has been turning out. Took ages to sew in all the ends on the sleeves. Very glad I decided on the second sleeve to leave the longer floats between motifs and save on ends to weave in.

I was laid up half of last week with period pain - unable to sit upright or work, but thankfully able to knit.
And I've been marking off my progress on knitting a couch throw patchwork blanket for my sister, and the progress last week was tangible!
Boxing Day, 26 December:
New Year's Day, 1 January:
And now tonight, 9 January:
And that includes not getting any knitting done last Tuesday at all (but a lot of very pretty journal cover decoration)!
My deadline is 3 March (including washing, blocking and weaving in all ends).
I might even manage! Crossing my fingers and working hard to try!

Working on the Apiarist Cowl, first time doing cables. It’s kind of fun, but I keep dropping the cable needle if I don’t keep it poked into the project when I’m not using it.
The pattern called for DK yarn held with lace weight mohair, I think, but I figured holding two similarly colored fingering weight yarns would probably work. At any rate, it should be toasty in the winter.

Decided to try knitting socks again over the weekend. Chose a dk weight yarn and I'm so pleased at how much faster these are working up!

Update on my current yarn bending project!
It's been a while since I picked up this one. I put it aside for holiday projects and such but picked it up again while i watch tv.
I'm on my 3rd repeat of the 'feather' pattern. Every repeat i decrease numbers of feathers, with the idea of narrowing down as i work to the bottom of the cardigan. Hopefully I'll be left with enough of the colored yarn to do some colorwork on the pockets and sleeves.
I'm super excited to see how this is gonna turn out in the end! I'm generally following this pattern (Nordic Nights by Drops) but knit as a cardigan, not a sweater.

Started a new project this week. It's the first time I'm trying my hand at a serious cable pattern. I'm knitting with wool and an added strand of mohair, that I managed to get on sale. I'm hoping that I'll finish this cardigan in time for the serious winter chill.
Pattern is the Auguste Cardigan by Johanna Gehrisch.

Second sleeve done! Now to take a break after I weave in all the ends. After that it is time to either do the collar extension or steeking.

Last night, I discovered that I could use this weight three yarn on my knitting machine if I only used every other needle! I kinda got lost in my knitting and knitted way more than just the swatch I intended 🤣 I was just excited it was actually working, what can I say!
The right side looks so nice and I love the texture ❤️ I think I’m going to aim for a baby blanket and do a crocheted edge after blocking it to help with the edges curling.
Machine Make/Model: Brother KH-601 Knitting Machine
Yarn: Lion Brand Yarns, Ice Cream Big Scoop, Strawberry

Picked this baby back up recently, I'm trying to get the first chart finished by the end of the year, only around 15 rounds left of the first chart but I set it aside while I work on my advent project, so hopefully this will be back in my hands in a few days. For those who don't know, this is my first ever lace project and my first ever project with beads.

Been working on this monster of a blanket! I’m really starting to appreciate the beauty of a monotonous project cause I can focus so much on other things while I knit! Been catching up on shows and podcasts while making this!
