Yootipweek18 Questionnaire: Question #1 & #2

Disclaimer: The following long answer is from a true yootipper who is eager to participate in YooTip Week 2018 even tho she has zero talent in art 🤣.

So i decided to focus my questionnaire post on question no.1 and no.2. I totally suck at drawing *can't draw a straight line even with the help of a ruler*, have a very very basic skill on editing, and too lazy to think of fanfiction idea *this is why i didn't pursue my dream as a novelist 😂*

Okay, now the question #1; is yootip my first ily ship? I'll never get tired of saying this, that Kousuke Hirahara and Shin Ae Yoo are my OTP from the beginning since the first time i saw the launched banner. Tbh, kou's contrasting physical traits (blue eyes and black hair) has drawn me to read the comic, i didn't even give a damn about shin *before i read the prologue ofc*. I always have a soft spot for male characters with blue eyes and black hair and that helped me seal the deal 😂. I was like "Oh i'll ship the black-haired dude with the female lead!" when i saw the banner, proceeded reading the comic up until episode 3 only to find out the said black-haired dude was still in the shadow 😔*.

ILY begins with a typical shoujo cliche that makes you think "oh the redhead is most likely the endgame". I thought the same and even after knowing nol has a gf, it didn't matter cuz they could breakup later. That outdoor cafe scene didn't change anything either, i still thought stalkyoo was the endgame. *PS: I pitied shin when i saw how nol vented his frustration to the punching bag because of alyssa 😂* Regardless of that stance, i remained loyal to my yootip ship. Well, actually I saw the possibility from the outdoor cafe scene but it still didn't surpass my stalkyoo mind. See how loyal i am??? All thanks to my soft spot for characters like Kousuke 😎.

Next, what made me ship yootip? Kousuke Hirahara is the main reason as you guys can read here lol, but i started to ship them real hard when they go on a fake date at sunbucks with matching outfits 😂.

Their interaction is a gem and i personally like their bickering here. However, what made me take my ship seriously is when kousuke, in his own ways, helps shin to deal with the rude mother and daughter at the mall. He provided her with the opportunity to turn the table when she can't do it alone. He realizes her problem early on, on top of that he acknowledges her independence by accepting the money and buying what he thought she needed *new t-shirt with her style and socioeconomic in mind and a huge box of cotton swabs 🤣* with her own money too.

Even though he reports the mother and the daughter to the security mall, he still includes shin to make the final decision. This is deep, guys! At least in my very humble opinion. That's when i shipped yootip real hard and let go of my stalkyoo mind in the process. Although their personalities are contrasting, they can be perfect for each other and help broaden their world. It's not only kou that will help shin steps out of her comfort zone, but also shin to kou.

Phew....what a long answer for such simple questions, but what can i say? I'm a passionate shipper like that! 😂. I'm glad i can celebrate in this very first yootip event through this questionnaire. All my thanks go to the amazing Yootip Amino leaders who came up with this idea. They are very thoughtful and...did i say amazing? Yes they are amazing!! Happy to be a part of the family with them as the leaders 🤧🤧🤧🤧

Yootip week 2019, Day 3 Prompt "Crossover"

“Miss Yoo, would you like to accompany me to lunch with a client?” Kousuke queried when he ventured into his office to collect his coat.

“Sure. Are you going to hold a meeting?” Shin-Ae quizzed.

“No, the meeting has already been conducted, we’ll be having lunch for a successful business deal. We’ll be dining with the General Manager of Young Technologies and the heiress to said company.”

‘The heiress of Young Technologies is going to be there?!’ Shin-Ae thought to herself. Kousuke had to be nuts to have her tag along. Not like she can back out now anyway.

“Are you coming, Miss Yoo?” Kousuke was already out the door and looking at her expectantly.

“Coming.” 

The foursome walked into the restaurant and the blond male of the group observed the interior. “I must commend your excellent choice of dining venue.”

“Thank you, Mr. Jones.”

“Hopefully the food here is equally as good as the decor.”

“Your expectations shall be exceeded, I can assure you that, Jones.”

“I hold you to that, Hirahara.”

Shin-Ae looked up at the brunette who had introduced herself as Sam. Her eyes examined the other brunette from head to toe and her optics widened.

‘Holy crap she has huge boobs! What size are they?!’ Shin-Ae had to fight the urge to touch her own chest.

‘And she’s wearing flats. I’d kill to be out of these stupid heels right now.’ Shin-Ae chanced a glance at her again and took notice of her features. She seemed a bit uneasy.

‘Me and you both, girl.’ She thought.

The party of four found their table, Shin-Ae and Kousuke both took their seats while Charles was helping Sam take hers.

Soon, a waiter came to take their orders.

“What do you suggest, Mr. Hirahara?”

“Filet Mignon with rich balsamic glaze.” The answer rolled off of Kousuke’s tongue as though he anticipated it. “I recommend a red wine to compliment the dish. Sangiovese would be the best choice. Is that fine with you, Mr. Jones?”

Charles nodded his head in agreement.

Kousuke turned to Shin-Ae. "Are you fine with the filet mignon or would you like to order something else."

“The filet mignon is fine, with iced tea please.”

“I’ll take coconut water, thanks.” Sam spoke. The waiter nodded and took the menus, leaving them to their devices once more.

“The blood of Jupiter, excellent choice Mr. Hirahara. I am impressed. You seem to be a connoisseur of wine. Are you familiar with the thirty best ranked wines in the world?” He gently swished his chilled glass of Sangiovese. 

Kousuke crossed his legs and folded his arms. “Only twenty-four of them have ever met my tongue but Krug French Champagne Vintage 1988 and Quintarelli Giuseppe aren’t anything to brag about.”

Shin-Ae zoned out from the conversation Kousuke and Charles were having with each other. She looked across the table and saw that Sam wasn’t paying the males any mind either. She was fidgeting with her hair.

“So, Sam.” Shin-Ae began her attempt at making conversation.

“Y-yes?” The bespectacled female shifted her attention to the shorter female.

“How’s it working at Young Technologies. What do you do?”

“Oh, I handle Software and GUI development. I also program when the opportunity calls for it.”

“So you’re like a computer genius.”

“I w-wouldn’t call myself that.” Sam shrunk in her seat, cheeks flushed in embarrassment.

“What about you? H-how long have you been working for Hirahara Corp?”

“Almost a year now. I’m still trying to get the ropes.”

“You’ll get the hang of it eventually. I’m still trying my hardest and Charles is always on me like white on rice.”

“Your boss is always hanging over you? Same!”

Powder blue eyes met icy blue ones.

“Interesting clothing choice, Mr. Jones.”

“I should say the same about you, Mr.Hirahara. May I be so bold as to ask what brand of suit you are wearing right now?”

“Not at all, the make of my suit is Dolce De Leche.”

“I see. My suits are custom made.  Savile Row.”

The waiter returned with their food and all four of them dug into their meals.

“This is really good.” Shin-Ae proclaimed.

“Yea, it is.” Sam agreed, followed with a sip of her coconut water.

“I must commend you, Mr. Hirahara. The food is exquisite.” He took a napkin and dabbed his mouth.

“I assured you that you would be satisfied. I’m sorry that you had your doubts, Mr. Jones.”

“We should drop the formalities. You may call me Charles.”

Kousuke stared at the blond male for what seemed like minutes. “You may call me Kousuke.” He finally answered.

Slow, careful notes.

Smooth, fluid movements.

Fingers dancing to the melodies that they are creating.

Shin Ae gazed across the dimly lit room. The dark silhouette of a person resided there, their back to her. A brightly colored Christmas tree stood in a corner of the space, providing to only lighting, save for a few strands of bulbs strung along the stairs banister. Shin Ae herself was seated in a soft, leather armchair, listening to the harmony of sound.

After a while, she stood and quietly walked over to the man. He seemed unaware of her presence, absorbed into the tune, his azure eyes closed. She patiently waited, her own crimson eyes glued to his moving figure. A few minutes later, the man pressed his fingers down on the keys with a note of finality. He looked up at his wife and smiled slightly, but said nothing.

"Beautiful," she whispered. He seemed to pick up on the double meaning in the statement. His smile widened a little.

"Would you care to try?" he asked.

"Oh, no. I couldn't," she said. "Kousuke, you know I've never played before."

"I insist. I'll help you." He placed a tender hand on her waist, guiding her onto the cushioned stool. She gingerly put her fingers on a few keys, trying out the feeling. Larger hands reached around her and landed on her own, steering her fingers in certain directions.

The two played for hours, laughing when one hit a terribly wrong note, occasionally playing fun and upbeat songs. Laughter and smiles crowded the living space. Music sailed on the air.
