hello, krpers! although i wanted this to be a positive message, it is with a heavy heart that i am closing krphub. this has been something i have been thinking about for around 2 months now, and due to real-life commitments and struggles, i am not able to keep up with krphub in the way i want to. thank you for using krphub as a roleplay directory for the past 8 months! i have loved watching different rps and ideas come together. i wish all my affiliates, krpers, and fellow roleplay directories all the best!

I play dominant characters. I am story driven. I want someone who is quite active, over 21 and interested in Ateez, or Stray Kids to help "corrupt" me into another group. I will always stan BTS, but I'm thinking about getting into a new group, and a new ship. since sincerely looks like it's gonna close under pressure we duly saw the gap in the market that'll come when they do and are ready to give krp what they want once they close, which is a REAL KRP TEA BLOG without any interfering. we can post daily too! any threats or shit talking directed to the admins or this blog will just be blocked, and tbh we have a couple back up blogs just in case we need them, so we're super prepared. for every krper that wants sincerely to close there are ten people who want a place to keep venting, and we're ready to let everything loose again! switch the traffic from sincerely to here (unless you're still telling them to close in their inbox, then keep going)!

i think there’s some confusion here. the discussion (at least i think?) is about whether or not these blanket rules may actually be harmful instead of helpful, and if they should be amended to be more accurately what the creators are trying to prevent which is racism. people agree with not allowing krpers to use resources, but the question is if non-offensive portrayals are getting lumped in with krpers and boiling every east asian muse down to being a fetish thing. i don’t think anyone’s demanding creators let kpop communities use their resources or even pointing the fingers at them, it’s a question on whether or not these rules are actually having the effect they intend to and if it’s not there can be a civil convo about how it could be improved so they can actually accomplish the anti-racist/anti-kpop creep thing they’re trying to do without accidentally othering asian muses. // completely agree! we respect creators' choices and rules but the problem is this ends with anyone who is just trying to portray east asian muses genuinely ends up getting scrutinized by the community, whether people realize it or not, even if you're an east asian mun writing an east asian muse. and it makes it even more difficult for non east asian muns who want to try to be more diverse in writing east asian muses.

can someone who has a better grasp on the minds of krpers explain to me why people who talk in gcs a lot are usually labelled as toxic // it depends on the group of people I guess. Some people who are very active in the gcs, can be very toxic in private. Others will exclude people or ignore them on purpose so that they can keep the group chat just their circle of friends - people have owned up to doing this before. But they don’t always do it in ways admins can pick up on. In the nature of being toxic, they wanna get away with their behaviour for as long as possible. So in public they don’t seem so bad, they appear active and friendly. But in private they’re very different if you aren’t close to them or if they think you did them or one of their friends wrong. And if they do act out in the public chats, they try not to make it too obviously so they can’t get in trouble. Public chats are supposed to be that - public for all members. So yeah it does feel really horrible when you just get ignored and overlooked by the same people who are always in there just because they’d rather be selective about who they talk to. Toxic people also bank on the fact that not many people actually go to admins with problems these days because of the amount of times nothing gets done or admins themselves are one of the people being complained about

im super new in the rp community (like. five months) and i wanted to know what's wrong with krp? like i see so many people say dni if you are a krper

hiiiii sorry for getting to this super late - haven't been on this blog in a while.

the reason i have it is because krp has a penchant of fetishizing east asian faces + sometimes se asian ppl via thai bl actors or otherwise. i understand that perhaps the origins of krp could've been to have a community of folks that were willing to write against k-industry fcs when muns within the rpc would rarely interact w/ them, but it has devolved imo ...

not to mention that ppl in that space tend to only play lighter-skinned asians or east asians in general w/o taking into account the growing # of idols who are south east asian, south asian, black, etc.

a lot of asian muns including myself have expressed discomfort w/ this in the past just bc it feels tokenizing, fetishizing, other -izings that i could rattle off. there r a lot of other things wrong w/ the krp community but these are just some examples that immediately come up

any recommendations for sites where the majority of characters in play are lgbt? truly just sick to death of boards where 90% of the chara population is het & all of them are cis lol // the only places like that that i've heard of are the kpopified sites where lgbt is taken to the extreme of fetishizing...// so the answer is no lol. someone asks for a rec for lgbt-majority sites and you ramble on forever to say 'well, no, duh' and you use it as an opportunity to complain about krpers (i get it, it's not my type either, but they weren't asking what your ick was and that was almost half your response), and how you've resorted to just taking straight ships and hoping for good karma. amazing. i will agree w/ that one tiny, hidden suggestion to check out wanted ads. way to go.
