He hasn’t fully fleshed out the latest idea he’s had for explosives yet, not that he’s about to admit that to Kon. His response was automatic and perfectly calm because this was absolutely a totally normal conversation in Young Justice  and the older heroes have nothing to worry about.

“I’ve been working on a new stealth technique to knock out and capture your average goon.” He offered up as an explanation as he started fiddling with his grapple gun. “Now, I know you can hear me from halfway across the world and I can’t knock you out without kryptonite and I sure as hell am not busting that stuff out unless it’s an emergency but do you think you could play along? Just for a little bit? I wanna get this right.”
