Midnight Occult Civil Servants Stage Play Unveils Main Cast Visuals in Costume

    The official website for the upcoming stage play adaptation of Yohko Tamotsu's urban fantasy manga Mayonaka no Occult Koumuin / Midnight Occult Civil Servants has revealed its main cast visuals, including Riki Tanimizu (Sangaku Manami in the Yowamushi Pedal stage plays) as the protagonist Arata Miyako. 

  The stage play written/directed by Kaori Moriyama and Satoshi Ougita - the team previously worked on The Rising of the Shield Hero stage play - is set to be performed at the Shinjuku FACE theater in Tokyo from October 29 to November 7, 2020, as originally scheduled. The 12,500 yen (about 120 US dollars) tickets for its final day performance are already sold out.

Ultraman Geed Heroine Chihiro Yamamoto Shows Real Action in BLACKFOX: Age of the Ninja Trailer

    The official website for BLACKFOX: Age of the Ninja, the live-action prequel to Studio 3Hz (Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale Online)'s forthcoming modern ninja action anime film BLACKFOX, has posted a 90-second trailer introducing its star Chihiro Yamamoto (Laiha Toba in Ultraman Geed).

  Yamamoto, now 22, was started learning Chinese martial arts when she was 3. She won the gold medal in the second world junior martial arts championship in December 2008, and was the champion of Japan Wushu Taijiquan Federation's Junior Olympics Cup Tournament from 2010 to 2012. She plays a female ninja named Rikka Isurugi, the anime character's ancestor in the ninja and samurai era.

  The clip also reveales a guest appearance by 73-year-old legendary Japanese martial arts star Yasuaki Kurata, who worked with Sammo Hung and Jackie Chan in Twinkle, Twinkle Lucky Stars (1985), Jet Li in Fist of Legend (1994), and Donnie Yen in Legend of the Fist: The Return of Chen Zhen (2010). 

  Internationally acclaimed action director/stunt coordinator Koichi Sakamoto (Power Rangers, Heisei Kamen Rider, Super Sentai, Ultraman series) is attached to direct on a screenplay by the TV anime's series composition writer Naoki Hayashi. This is Sakamoto's first jidaigeki work. 

  The BLACKFOX anime will get its theatrical run from October 5, 2019, and BLACKFOX: Age of the Ninja is also set to be released this fall.
