Team Masho vs. Team Uraotogi
Previously: Dr. Ichigaki vs. Rokuyukai
Mashoutsukai cheats and their match is held directly after Uraotogi's previous. In addition, Onji and Shishi are tented by Ruka the Enchantress. Beautiful Suzuka has gone over strategy with his team the previous night. Jin, a consummate bro, sits out.
Round 1: Gama vs. Makintaro. They're both Bakken tier at best. In the manga, Makintaro isn't even able to regrow his limbs, although anime Makintaro can trash whatever body part Gama paints. Kurama also has black hair in the comic so that shit's barely hc, so Makintaro wins. He had to cut off like six or seven arms and a leg tho
Round 2: Bakken vs Ura Urashima. Bakken is probably physically stronger than Ura, but can he set up his mist/kill Ura before Ura sets up his force field and opens the Idun Box? Is Ura skilled enough with his fishing line to maintain his distance? This can go so many ways, but Ura's attack actually hurt Kurama, while Bakken beat the shit out of an unconscious Kurama and did little damage. Ura fishes for Bakken in the fog and deals a lethal blow, no Idun needed
Fwiw I know Onji would give them different items for different fights, but since we have no examples, it would be entirely speculation
Round 3: Toya vs. Kuro Momotaro. Toya legit was trying to kill an entirely immobile, defenseless Kurama from step one and still failed. Kuro uses one sphere and bodies the little ice twink
Round 4: Risho vs. Kuro Momotaro. My dude lost to an injured Kuwabara. Like fucking Byakko only lost to himself, let's be honest, so this is Kuwabara's first real win (kendo stick man doesn't count; he fights with a hunk of wood, he's not a serious person). And his big finishing move is just more clay for his armor of clay. One sphere. Ez. By this time Jin has already left. None of this was worth his time and that island was actually tiny af anyway
Team Masho sucks more than Team Uraotogi wins. Kurama no diff'd Gama and Toya was so cumbrained he talked to the cute fox boy for half an episode instead of realizing his lethal strikes weren't killing him; so Kuro's abs have a similar effect. Jin could at least win by ring out against Kuro and then sweep the others (if he doesn't fly into any of Ura's fishing lines), but Team Uraotogi are such scumbags that he'd have no interest -- ears not wiggling/10
Next: Team Rokuyukai vs. Team Uraotogi for the chance to fight the Saint Beasts

Tumblr media
Hiei Jaganshi Form - Autor(Author): HieiFireDemon(DeviantArt)

Hiei, do you know how to properly bandage your wounds- cause uh- your fight with Kuro Momotaro after he bit your shoulder- why the hell did you bandage it like the way you did?
"Of course I know how to bandage my own damn wounds. I just bandaged it that way since I was in a rush for the next fight."

Honest opinions on YYH villains. Go!
Already did a few of them, so we’ll make this a bit faster.
Tarukane - Scum of the Earth. Gross head, and jowls.
Sakyo - Cunning as hell, largely psychopathic, and a confusing character. I worried for Shizuru if she actually wound up with him. To his own admission, he tortured and killed animals, has murdered tons of people and his goal was to open a portal to demon world, which could have flooded the world with death and destruction. A moment of kindness in saving Shizuru was nice and all, but he’s still a bad guy through and through.
Saint Beasts - I’ll lump these guys together. Cool designs and abilities for each of them, Seiryuu and Suzaku are largely dickheads, but their plan was interesting although easily countered. They may have infected some humans with Makai insects and caused some property damage, but their whole plan centered around a flute not breaking. Pretty weak. Granted they were strong and apparently feared, but half of them went down incredibly easily. A bit underwhelming.
Rando - I thought his design was cool as hell, and I loved his premise of hunting down 100 human psychics to learn their techniques, master them instantly, and use that ability to kill the psychic. Shrinking Kuwabara, then snapping his arms one at a time, was truly sadistic. And that sadism is what got him beat. If he’d just killed Yusuke quick and easy, he would have won, but he was playing around. Dumbass.
Sensui - Probably the best villain of the series. At one point, I felt really bad for this guy. A human, led to believe that demons were the true evil of the world, living only to kill and destroy humans. Then finds out that the humans he was fighting to protect, could be and were just as disgusting and horrible as the lies he was fed about demons. Shattered that man’s mind so badly, he went on a rampage, killed every human he could get his hands on in the Black Black Clubs torture chamber, then developed seven personalities to try and cope with the mental damage. Though as much as I felt bad for him in that sense, he is the cause of multiple people’s deaths during the Chapter Black saga. Tried to kill Mitarai, caused serious harm to Botan and Shizuru, caused Game Master, Murata, and Gourmet’s deaths, killed Yusuke…all for his goal of going to Demon World so he could die there. His plan was well executed, I’ll give him that, but dammit if it wasn’t annoying as hell all over. He purposefully showed several members of his gang the Chapter Black video, to turn them against humanity and help with his plan. His guilt over killing potentially innocent demons, to save possibly horrible humans, put millions of innocent humans at risk, and that’s not cool dude.
Itsuki - I really don’t have a lot to say about him. Creepy, twisted guy. Togashi said Itsuki was one of his favorite characters, and he wanted to show a lot more of his sick side…and I’m kind of glad we didn’t get to see it. Happily watched Sensui descent into madness, and that certainly makes him an asshole in his own rights.
Sniper - Cool look, but the edginess is too much. His territory is cool. Loved Hiei stabbing him so effortlessly, and he’s lucky to be alive. Post Chapter Black, he seems to beat/kill some guys who killed a cat, so that’s cool. Good guy for that.
Doctor - What a bitch. Stop dragging innocent people, let alone doctors, nurses, and sick people, into your twisted fight. Glad he got the shit punched out of him by Yusuke. At least after all the Sensui stuff, he seems to actually get back to helping people. Cool abilities though.
Gourmet - Gross. Though no one deserves to have Elder Toguro growing inside his stomach and slowly consuming his body from the inside out. That was pretty fucked up. And he got his head cut in half by Kurama. Oof. Sad time for Gourmet.
Game Master - I applaud this kids talent for video games. As a game lover myself, it was nice to see games be brought to life. However, he’s a stupid kid who was easily tricked, and died because of it. Glad he was revived by Koenma, but still, stupid kid for falling so easily for “Cool Mr. Sensui’s” trick.
Zeru - Cocky dick. Strong though. Hiei had no choice but to use the dragon on him.Roto - Cowardly dick.
Dr. Ichigaki - Massive ugly dick. Ultra fucked up to poison someone, then coerce their subordinates to become your slaves with the promise of healing said person…and not doing it. Glad he’s dead. Risho - Pinocchio looking dick.Gama - Was pretty cool actually. Creative ability, fought to his death for the cause he believed in, even if it wasn’t really worth dying over.
Makintaro - Ha. Why’d he freak out of his arm being cut off so badly if he could just regrow the damn thing?
Ura Urashima - Ha. Felt bad he was killed by his teammate though. Shishi’s an asshole.
Kuro Momotaro - Stop smacking your gum asshole! Was surprised he was able to put up such a good fight against a very weakened Hiei, even if it was only because of those dango.
Did I miss anyone?

I'm curious to what other people's favorite fight in the Dark Tournament is. I think mine was Hiei’s fight against Kuro Momotaro. It had an interesting concept and I personally found it amusing with all of the banter. It's the one that sticks out the most in my mind

Summer 2021 Anime - Week 1
The summer season has already started so let's get right into it! The first episode has been released for a few shows so I'll touch on those and potentially continue them from now on based on whether it clicks or not. Sorry if this post ends up being long - I intend to check out most of what's coming out now. - First 3 are what I expect to be the top of the series and under the cut is the rest. (I'll likely get around to all of them eventually throughout the summer season)
Tumblr media
Peach Boy Riverside Summary - In a world of ogres and demons, what if Momotaro wasn't the only ogre killing child that came floating along the river? Holy shit - right off the bat with a killer series 100% this will be one of the top shows of the season. It's an excellent and thrilling adaptation of the traditional Japanese Momotaro story and because of that, the world that they all live in is super neat. The protagonists are awesome so far and the enemies/monsters are also well designed. Really looking forward to this one. Side note - I really like that Frau is adapted from japanese folklore of the rabbit on the moon beating mochi.
Tumblr media
The Detective is Already Dead Summary- Main character attracts back luck and a master detective recruits him to help solve the cases he brings in but she's already dead from the beginning. Yet another one that will be one of the top shows. Honestly had me hooked within 5 minutes of the storyline. Side note for Genshin ppl - Koumori/Bat is Xiao's Voice Actor The duo is excellent and the hook at the end of the episode - expected but still great. Guess the creators were confident enough about the show's potential that they sacrificed the pilot as a 45 minute episode so I think there's a lot in store for this season.
Tumblr media
Vanitas no Carte Summary - A cursed blue vampire uses his mythical book to heal red vampire illnesses in old Paris. omfg T_T I'm going to be so obsessed with this show. The Art The Style The Character Design The Era The Memes The Cat I no longer care about any show but this one and this one only. (gives me howl vibes but also dazai - I haven't watched past season 1 of Bungou Stray Dogs but this feels like the same creator/animation studio - I'll need to check in on that) The rest of the Summer Season Shows are below the cut--
Tumblr media
Shinigami Bocchan to Kuro Maid Summary - he's cursed to kill everything he touches - she likes teasing him. the art in this show is really pretty - idk if it's actual paintings or just animation on a canvas background but it's nice either way. Idk if i'll ever get used to cgi - this one is rough for me since it's the primary animation method and it still just feels to smooth. Plus I have no interest in the sexual harassment aspect of the show. Unsure if I'll keep watching.
Tumblr media
How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom Summary - a uni student is summoned as a hero in another world and decides to reform the kingdom using realistic plans and administrative duties. Yet another issekai. Low-key the animations look really bad in anything other than the main characters. The idea seems really boring and it seems a lot of character designs and concept are straight up copies from other shows but I kinda like it for some reason? Either way - will likely be a super mid tier show.
Tumblr media
Re-Main Summary - Water polo anime but this champ has been in a coma for 6 months and doesn't remember his last 3 years as a top water polo player. Damn - they don't need to go this hard on every sports anime. Right off the bat with something new - the accident and the animations are solid as all sports shows are for some reason. The different take on it alone has me interested but I like the mc, so I think this'll be a good one for this season. I ran out of time today so this'll be part 1 Part 2 will feature: Scarlet Nexus -Episodes 1 & 2 Bokutachi no Remake - 50 min pilot episode Seirei Gensouki - Spirit Chronicles Slime Season 2 Part 2 Episode 1

Does the Jagan eye helps hiei in controlling his black flames? Is there any information about the darkness flame technique in the character profile book ?
That’s a great question and I wish I had a straight answer. He clearly uses the jagan, as we see it opened, while he’s summoning the flames. He even said to Zeru before using the technique to not underestimate the power of the jagan. But, when Kurama explains to Kuwabara how the technique works he doesn’t mention anything about the jagan, so the characters’ book. The databook only summarizes Kurama’s explanation:
炎殺黒龍波 (Ensatsu Kokuryuuha) - The Flame Killing Black Dragon Wave
Tumblr media
It’s the ultimate mystery of the Evil King's Flaming Fist (Jao Ensatsu-ken), a technique that releases flames like a black dragon that burns everything in its path. It is Hiei’s greatest special move and requires a tremendous ability to control the flames of the Demon World. Particularly, in order to use it in the Human World, it is necessary to summon the Makai flames to the Human World using his own demon power, something that ordinary sorcerers can’t master. In addition, by “eating” the black dragon wave released, he is able to to explosively boost his demon powers. A sorcerer who is able to absorb and control the energy of a black dragon is called a "master” and takes on the form of someone wearing a black dragon's flame. Although it is the strongest and unparalleled special technique, it also has a weakness: in order to the recover his demon power, which has been overused to the limit, the sorcerer is forced into "hibernation" after using the Black Dragon Wave.
Anyway, I prefer Kurama’s explanation from volume 9 (p.152), when Hiei is fighting with Kuro Momotaro:
The Dragon of Black Flames is the embodiment of the flames of the Demon World and dwells only in the midst of its miasma. To summon it to the Human World, it is required to attract it with his own youki, in other words, it’s necessary a continuous emanation of a great amount of youki. In the fight against Zeru, even in his best shape, Hiei almost had his arm devoured due to youki’s insufficiency. Hiei's current youki should be around 60% to 70%. So, even if he wanted to, he couldn't summon the flames of the demon world.
So, we can see it’s all about the demon power to evoke the flames. Nobody mentions anything about the jagan. I think Hiei, who had been an A-class youkai since he was 5 years old, would be able to learn and master this technique without the power of the jagan. But since he needed the evil eye for his own purposes and implanted it, why not use its demon power in his favor? Anyway, it’s just my opinion, I hope it helps ^^

Manga the Week of 11/11/20
SEAN: Need a distraction from the real world? There’s manga.
Ghost Ship gives us Parallel Paradise 3 and World’s End Fantasia 3.
J-Novel Club starts us off with a debut light novel, I’ll Never Set Foot in That House Again! (Nidoto ie ni wa Kaerimasen!). A J-Novel Heart title, this is about an abused young noble daughter who one day is found to have a rare Skill. Now she’s taken off to the research labs and treated like a princess. But will her family stand for that? This is a rare shoujo title where the heroine is more “cute and moe” than the typical “energetic and spunky”.
J-Novel Club also debuts the manga version of the Marielle Clarac series, The Engagement of Marielle Clarac. Fans of the books will want to pick this up, it’s a lot of fun.
Also out from J-NC: Black Summoner 2, In Another World with My Smartphone 21, The Magic in This Other World Is Too Far Behind!! 6 (manga version), Monster Tamer 2, Outbreak Company 15, and Slayers 3.
Kodansha, in print: Drifting Dragons 6, Hitorijime My Hero 8, Knight of the Ice 4, and Saint Young Men 4.
MICHELLE: I’ll be checking out Hitorijime My Hero and <i.Knight of the Ice for sure.
ANNA: I find <i.Knight of the Ice delightful.
ASH: Oooh! It’s a good Kodansha print week for me! I’m actively reading three of these four series.
SEAN: The digital debut is Peach Boy Riverside, one of the endless titles that are written by Coolkyousinnjya of Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid fame. It’s about a princess who meets the equivalent of Momotaro (hence the title) and chases after him. It runs in Shonen Magazine R.
Also digital: Ace of the Diamond 29, Cells at Work and Friends! 4 (the final volume), Giant Killing 23, My Roomie Is a Dino 4, Practice Makes Perfect 2, Shaman King: Flowers 4, Tokyo Revengers 18, and We Must Never Fall in Love 3.
MICHELLE: Yay for new volumes of two of my favorite sports manga!
SEAN: One Peace has an 18th volume of The Rising of the Shield Hero.
Seven Seas has a number of debuts. Blue Giant is a series that is coming out here in double-volume omnibuses, and ran in Shogakukan’s Big Comic. It’s essentially a sports manga, if the sport was jazz saxophone. It’s won multiple awards. I cannot wait.
MICHELLE: Sounds intriguing!
ANNA: Wow, I wasn’t aware of this before but it does sound amazing.
ASH: I am really looking forward to this one!
SEAN: I’m in Love with the Villainess! came out digitally already, but it was so good that you should get the print version as well. Volume 1 is out next week.
ASH: I’ve heard so many good things about this series; I’m excited to finally have the chance to read it!
SEAN: Rainbow and Black (Niji to Kuro) is a weird slice-of-life manga about a young woman and her… bird-puff… thing. It’s from Ichijinsha’s Comic Rex.
ASH: I do like weird, so count me as curious.
SEAN: And then there’s Unicorns Aren’t Horny (Ikkakujuu ha Tsuranukanai!), from GOT Corporation’s Comic MeDu, a webcomic about a woman who is still a virgin – by choice – and her unicorn roomate, who… really loves her. This is intriguing but could also be creepy? Not sure?
ASH: It sounds bizarre enough that I’m willing to give it a try to find out.
SEAN: Also out from Seven Seas: Arpeggio of Blue Steel 16, The Conditions of Paradise: Our First Time (essentially a Vol. 2), Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash 14, How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom 8, Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear 3 (manga version), Magic User: Reborn in Another World as a Max Level Wizard novel 3, Primitive Boyfriend 3 (the final volume), and Sorry for My Familiar 7.
MICHELLE: I’ll be checking in to see how Primitive Boyfriend ends.
SEAN: Square Enix debuts the manga version of By the Grace of the Gods, which has a light novel (from J-Novel Club) and an anime this fall as well. It’s a slow life reincarnation isekai with cute kids and slimes.
SuBLime debuts Birds of Shangri-La (Shangri La no Tori), a BL series that, erm… is hard to describe in a work-safe way. If you know what a fluffer is, you’ll know what this is about. It runs in Canna magazine, and is from the author of Coyote and Liquor and Cigarettes.
They also have a 4th volume of Given.
MICHELLE: Woot!
ANNA: Yay!!
ASH: I’ll admit that I’ll be picking both of these up.
SEAN: Viz gives us Fly Me to the Moon 2, Fullmetal Alchemist: Fullmetal Edition 11, Requiem of the Rose King 13, Rin-Ne 36, Splatoon: Squid Kids Comedy Show 2, and A Tropical Fish Yearns for Snow 5.
MICHELLE: I need to catch back up on Requiem of the Rose King.
ANNA: Me too!
ASH: I’m really looking forward to more.
SEAN: Yen On has The Eminence in Shadow 2 and Wandering Witch 3.
Lastly, Yen has a one-shot title, My Broken Mariko, which ran in Comic Bridge. a josei title about a woman who finds her best friend just killed herself and the search as for why that happened. This deals with themes of abuse and suicide, but is also supposed to be fantastically written.
MICHELLE: I’m very much looking forward to this.
ANNA: I’m always going to check out some josei.
ASH: I’ve heard some very good things about this manga and plan on giving it read when I can.
SEAN: Did you vote? If you did, please read some manga to cool down.

Team Rokuyukai vs. Team Uraotogi
Previously: Masho vs. Uraotogi
Rinku. fucking. survived. In another turn of events, Roto's brother, Younger Roto, has joined the team. I used a dice app to draw the matchups, with all free spaces going to Zeru and Shishi
Round 1: Rinku vs. Makintaro. Rinku's yo-yos are probably as effective, if not more, than Makintaro's axes, albeit with way more range and maneuverability. He's probably faster, too, and I doubt Makintaro can close the distance.
1-0 Team Rokuyukai
Round 2: Younger Roto vs. Shishiwakamaru. Rotobro bluffs with his button, but Shishi only cares about fame, so he's threatening whoever stretched Shishi's bussy last and it's just not working. His only hope for survival is being caught in the Cape of No Return
1-1 Team Uraotogi
Round 3: Chu vs. Kuro Momotaro, whose spheres are way too OP. He's pretty much unbeatable if you can't one shot him or separate him from his spheres. Unless Chu is taking this seriously, he runs the risk of Kuro becoming immune to everything he can give. At the same time, taking it is all Kuro is good at, so Chu might be able to OHKO him. I can also see Chu stealing and using one of the spheres on himself, so that's what happens.
Round 4: Zeru vs. Shishiwakamaru. Zeru's filler ass appearance belies how much of a contender he really is. Shishi's ghosts are his only ranged attack, but they're fodder for anyone really. If Zeru can keep his distance, it's him EZ. If he can't, his melee is probably weaker than Shishi's, whose sword negates Zeru's defense. It's a toss up but I'd give it to Zeru after a hard fought bout
Round 5: Zeru vs. BEAUTIFUL Suzuka. He has 999 abilities ig, but he's still weaker than Shishi ig. Zeru is tired and the outcome might be different if Suzuka wasn't such a showboat and overall ass. Ura has enough self preservation to forfeit afterwards
4-1 Team Rokuyukai
Next: Rokuyukai team vs. Saint Beast team.

part seventeen to this
***
Smoke from the Idunn Box shrouds the arena in dense fog. Kurama’s spirit energy fades and fades, growing smaller and weaker until it nearly blinks out of existence.
Kuwabara strains his neck to see past the fog. He keeps a firm grip on his injured wrist and says, “What the fuck is going on in there? Is Kurama okay?”
Hiei can’t see a goddamn thing with his normal eyes, so he switches to something better.
Ura Urashima is a mediocre heat signature, cackling in the center of the fog. “I’ll never get over how gullible humans are! One sad story and you fell all over yourself trying to rescue me like you’re the hero in some fairy tale. How pathetic, Kurama. This match will be easier than taking candy from a baby, because that’s what you are now!”
Juri looks like she’s about seven years old. She wraps her tail around herself and cries out for her mom.
Hiei scans for Kurama, but the Idunn Box is fucking with his vision. The entire arena has gone ice cold--
That’s not the fog.
A brush of energy clears the smoke. Ura Urashima spots Kurama first. He stares blankly for a moment, unable to reconcile what he sees with what it means. But at his heart, Ura Urashima is a coward, and cowards want to survive. He slowly stumbles backwards and raises his hands in a plea for mercy. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry! Don’t kill me, please!”
A silver-haired demon lazily stalks toward Ura Urashima. Hiei’s seen flashes of his presence in Kurama before, but they have never been formally introduced.
Kuwabara nudges him with his shoulder. “Yoko,” he breathes.
Yoko Kurama looks down at his body with a detached sort of amusement. “Perhaps I should spare you,” he says. “Thanks to your toy, I am restored to my true form.”
His power eclipses Toguro’s. Hiei glances at Kuwabara. He stares at Yoko Kurama in awe.
See what I mean by A class?
Shishiwakamaru swallows nervously. Onji, for once, demonstrates less than total ease, but perhaps not as much concern as he should, considering the legendary bandit on the opposing team.
He doesn’t expect to face the fox himself. There must be some limitation to the box’s magic.
Yoko Kurama has worked out as much for himself. He pulls a seed from his hair and drops it to the ground. In seconds, roots sprout from the seed until a gorgeous, white petaled plant grows large enough to bind a dozen men in its tendrils. “If you truly want mercy, you will explain the secrets of the box.”
Ura Urashima trips over his own feet. He pisses himself and cries, “I don’t know anything about the box! It was given to me by those two!” He points at Onji and Shishiwakamaru. “Me, Makintaro, and Kuro Momotaro--we’re just three low class demons who ran into these guys looking for bodies to fill out spots on their team. They gave us these items to augment our power. Ura Urashima isn’t even my name! It’s--” A blade impales his throat before he can complete his story. Yoko Kurama looks over the corpse at Shishiwakamaru in annoyance.
“Sorry, but those are trade secrets,” Shishiwakamaru says. “We can’t let just anybody learn them--I’m sure you understand.”
Yoko Kurama doesn’t immediately murder him with some flowers, so maybe he does.
The deaging process doesn’t last long. Juri, back to being old enough to order a beer, swiftly declares Kurama the winner.
Kurama is his usual self when he returns to his team. It’s disappointing to lose Yoko so quickly.
Kuwabara gushes so hard he nearly loses his hand. “That was fucking incredible!”
Hiei kicks Kuwabara’s leg out from under him. “Calm down before that hand goes flying into somebody’s mouth.”
Kuwabara pouts. “You’re a mean nurse.”
“And you’re a terrible patient.” They turn to the stadium entrance. Shizuru tosses her cigarette into a garbage can. “Hold still or you’re going to fuck up your injury even more.”
Kuwabara withers under her stern glare. “But it’s already healing,” he murmurs weakly.
Yukina once cut her finger chopping an onion for dinner. She tried to wave the whole thing off as a paper cut. The bandage was so soaked with blood that Hiei had to change it before dragging her to urgent care.
Hiei is supremely unsurprised when Shizuru descends on her little brother with the force of a spirit gun. “Don’t even try it with me, kid.”
Shishiwakamaru squawks from across the arena. “You rolled a free space! Which one of you losers do I have the honor of disemboweling?”
Kuwabara tries to jump to his feet, but Shizuru pins him with a look. “Nuh-uh.”
Hiei and Kurama sidle away while Kuwabara isn’t looking. “Shall we decide with a coin toss?”
Why not? This is what heightened spirit awareness is for. “Tails.”
They flip a quarter ten times before Kurama finally concedes. “Your spirit awareness is truly extraordinary.” He doesn’t exactly sound happy about it.
Hiei smirks. “Maybe Toguro would be willing to settle things with a game of rock-paper-scissors.” Yukina could sub in. While she’s never been plagued by visions of ghosts like her brother, she’s always been incredibly lucky when it comes to games of chance.
Shizuru pulls Kuwabara into her lap and demands his wrist. Kuwabara reluctantly obliges. “What are you going to do?”
“I’m going to try and speed this along. I’m not a miracle worker, but this isn’t going to heal before the finals on its own.” Shizuru furrows her brow in concentration. She’s beautiful all of the time, Hiei thinks dreamily, but she’s somehow even prettier when she looks like she wants to murder Kuwabara for getting hurt.
A delicate, blue light emits from her touch around Kuwabara’s wrist.
Kuwabara winces slightly. “I didn’t know the Koorime could heal people like this.”
“There’s probably a lot you don’t know,” Shizuru says. “But you can ask me, if you want to.” She so obviously wants him to ask.
Hiei looks down at Kuwabara’s sword. He hasn’t let go of it since Kuwabara’s match with Kuro Momotaro.
He doesn’t bother asking for permission. Hiei enters the ring with the blade in his hands. “Keep an eye out for Yusuke and Genkai, alright?”
“Hey,” Kuwabara says. “That’s my sword!”
Shishiwakamaru smirks. “So they chose their weakest member to fight me.”
Hiei rests his thumb on the hilt of the blade. He wonders if Makintaro will pay for dessert if he cuts off Shishiwakamaru’s nose.
