we are our family, even if we don’t want to be.
Titans 3.07
a bit over halfway through the season, and we still don’t have all of our main characters on the board! i love this show.
as always, typing this up as i watch. live reaction, baby! *shadowboxes*
SPOILERS AHEAD
1. i don’t think i’ve mentioned this before, but i kinda miss the old ‘dc universe’ intro. it was cool! the whole idea of it was wild and waaaaay over-ambitious, but also very very on-brand because of it.
2. this is... the third time we’ve seen dick sleeping this season? that’s a record! checking another thing off my s3 wishlist...
2.5. i guess i rag on titans all the time for its wafer-thin plotting and bad pacing, but i have to admit that this season has been a step-up from the last one in this regard. titans has very reactive rather than proactive protagonists, and a lot of the last season seemed to be: x happened, the team reacted badly, then y happened, they reacted badly, etc. this time around, it’s not a huge leap up by any means, but at least they’re doing something about it.
i do appreciate the focus on character arcs over everything else. and when i say everything else, i mean it: arcs that started two seasons ago with no big cathartic moments, intermittent payoff and multiple relapses. big bads have ranged from interdimensional demons to superpowered assassins to whatever in the world scarecrow is, but trigon’s big weapon against the titans was to... use their worst fears against them. slade’s was to... use their fears to break them up. crane’s is to... use red hood to use their fears to break them up. even the threat of gotham’s citizens being in danger doesn’t feel real: gotham is mythologised into an entity of its own, infecting our heroes like a parasite. like. this is not to say that most other superhero media aren’t big character arcs intertwined with the main plot, but titans doesn’t even make pretend that it’s anything but.
anyway. that’s my entry #2345 to ‘give a grand unifying theory for titans’. thanks. i’ll be back with more.
3. “anger is just fear in a little black dress.” god I HATE HIM
(what’s he doing with barbara’s likeness? oh... oh god. a terrible thought just occurred to me. what if they introduce hush at the very last minute for plastic surgery shenanigans? would you put it past this show?)
3.5. jason, nooooooooo
3.75. i mean, they’re making it very clear here that scarecrow is the one in control--the one who’s always been in control--and is manipulating jason and literally poisoning him, but i hope it doesn’t end up erasing nuance or jason’s autonomy. if jason’s to reckon with the issues that brought him here, then the lines of responsibility will need to be set somewhere.
(this applies to dick as well but more on that later, i guess.)
4. just--the phrase “40% loss of income” is so funny to me. like, gotham is full of these larger-than-life characters who are idiosyncratic beyond belief, colourful and dramatic and creating chaos just for the sake of chaos, and then there’s the regular criminals and their henchmen who just want to make a quick buck sitting down with pie charts and graphs, griping about the joker reducing their returns or debating high risk investments in, i don’t know, two-face’s next scheme.
Tumblr media
“yyyyeeeeeaaah, my financial advisor is telling me that going all-in with a guy who literally makes decisions on the flip of a coin is probably not the greatest idea.”
4.5. god i hate smug!smarmy!scarecrow so much
4.85. as big plans to “control” gotham go, it’s pretty bog-standard. clearly scarecrow has some bigger plan in mind but it really feels like we’ve got no clear insight into him and he’s this generic creepy mystery-man who knows more than he lets on and springs a twist/cliffhanger every now and then. i liked the scenes with him and dick in 3.04 where it seemed like he was genuinely on the backfoot and things weren’t going as he predicted. for all of his faults, dick is at least familiar with scarecrow’s bullshit and knows not to give what he wants.
5. i mean... i see where dick is coming from with the “he’s not jason anymore; he’s red hood” because his immediate glaring concern is scarecrow’s drug and the damage it could potentially cause gotham? i do not doubt that it’s something batman drilled into him, too, but when you’re expected to take point on a situation where the lives of an entire city weigh down on your shoulders, it’s better to simplify things and prioritise. i’m not saying it’s great or healthy! gar is absolutely right to consider this facet of the situation. it’s just dick can’t.
6. hmmmmmmm. HMMMMMMMMMMM.
i don’t know that i’m super fond of this iteration of oracle???? it looks like a cross between cerebro from x-men and jarvis from iron man. it’s giving me second-hand embarrassment. somebody help me.
(at least they remembered dick’s middle name is actually “john”. i like to think bruce printed D in that contract because for a while he genuinely thought richard “dick” grayson was his full name. duck duck goose, dick dick grayson, i don’t know alfred, the kid was in a circus, maybe they thought it was funny. or maybe it was a test in anger control, who knows.)
6.5 “maybe you two would like some time alone?” even AI can’t help hitting on dick grayson in this universe.
Tumblr media
“oh mr grayson, if i only had another eye to see you better...”
6.8. on one hand, it’s a bit disconcerting that the title of ‘oracle’ has gone from barbara herself to this gigantic machine; from my impression of the comics-verse, barbara had an extensive computing and surveillance system, true, but she was very clearly the brains behind the operation. on the other hand, i’m kind of glad that the ethical boundaries that this kind of surveillance violates is a sticking point for barbara. (tho let’s be real, the nsa would kill to have this in their arsenal).
6.9. also it’s now obvious that scarecrow’s big plan is to take control of oracle itself. it’s why he had lady vic take that picture of her eyes, or why he’s meddling around with it on his computer.
6.95. if only i could ‘command sleep’ anybody overstepping their boundaries re: personal information...
7. “you can just sit back and watch as the titans destroy themselves.” i mean... he’s not wrong
8. “dick’s parents were killed by a criminal mob; he won’t work with them.” it’s wonderful that you have this insight into dick, kory, i just wish we could’ve watched some of these conversations actually happen on-screen.
8.5. i’m glad that kom’s being treated with such nuance and understanding, though it’s obvious that she definitely has a Plan of her own. (and did i entirely imagine her ability to mimic other people flawlessly at the end of s2? or is that going to come into play at some point?) i think her story has the potential to be genuinely poignant, and in a universe where being Different, either because of mental health or physical differences or whatever else, leads a straight line to Evil, it’s important to acknowledge and then emphasise that the mere fact of your existence as a Different Person doesn’t predispose you to evil. maybe your act of destroying a system that has destroyed you and not scrambling to “fit in” is only evil as defined by that system.
8.8. “you’re trespassing, i should call the authorities, i feel unsafe.” now this is a villain lady who’s definitely aware of her privilege.
8.85. kom smirking knowingly at her sister is everything.
Tumblr media
“oooh that’s the kory i remember”
9. conner and dick working together woo!
9.25. god i hate a villain who’s always just a step ahead, no matter what. so crane anticipated dick using oracle to track his personal communications and set him up? how did he know when exactly dick would get to do this? how long did he have that poor man tied up in that van?
(the “save me, grayson” is a nice touch, tho. send dick spiralling even further! because if there’s one thing dick will do, it’s take responsibility for every goddamn thing that goes wrong.)
9.5. ahem. i’m going to need a million gifs of conner yeeting dick across that yard, fandom, thankyouverymuch.
(i understand conner is invulnerable to explosions, but how do his clothes survive??)
9.8. oooh crane is already in oracle! i’m just sitting here laughing helplessly because they’re overpowering this goddamned guy so much. he can build a lab in arkham’s basement! he has access to lazarus puddles! he has minions working across gotham, including a fully functional chemical laboratory staffed by chemists who only answer to him! he has the crime families of gotham quailing in his very presence! he has assassins at his beck and call! he’s enough of a manipulative bastard to have red hood under his thumb! and now he has enough of a tech know-how to not only be aware of oracle, but know how to hack into it! i’m sick of exclamation marks! i’ll shut up now!
9.95. dick leaving behind that smouldering grave for a person he failed to save without taking a second to process how he feels about it and running towards his next plan to corner scarecrow: a microcosm of where his head’s at right now.
10. really hammering in the themes of this season, aren’t we.
10.25. the interesting thing is the titans repeatedly call themselves a family this season (none more so than dick) and while that found family has helped encapsulate and put away their traumatic experiences with their ‘original’ families, it’s meant that they’ve not really dealt with those issues. and dick and gar and jason come from ‘found families’ of their own: they are twice removed, traumatised two times over. they still cling to this identity however, and because of it they’re losing each other. a family isn’t static. it’s an ever-evolving dynamic and you have to put in work constantly to keep it healthy.
10.5. anyway, that’s entry #2346. i’m here aaaalll night.
11. lookit gar the detective! half-transforming and using his powers to deduce things! what a hero! i’ve said this for a long time, but gar is the bedrock of this team, and an unsung one at that.
11.25. i’m confused about him calling this room jason’s though. it seems to me that this is dick’s room that jason later used, and one that dick’s using now. so the unmade bed isn’t really jason’s fault; dick was woken by barbara that morning, and in his hurry, he left without making his bed.
(it still confounds me that bruce didn’t find jason another bedroom in that gigantic mansion of his. you really didn’t give this kid a chance, did you?)
12. oh well. so much for the oracle.
13. ... sorry, wait. you didn’t think i wasn’t going to address the bit with dick right now, did you?
12.5. i honestly don’t think it’s very complicated: dick’s been reeling from one traumatic thing to the next, and just when it seemed like at the beginning of the season, he felt happy and secure with his team and his place in the world, bruce ups and leaves gotham to him, specifically naming him a successor and calling him a ‘better batman’. he’s lost garth and jericho and donna and jason and now hank and dawn. he’s not even sure where rachel is or what she’s doing. after being told that batman was a psychopath for moulding him into a weapon, he’s also been told that his failure to be a ‘better batman’ lead to further disaster. of course he’s going to get batman-goggles. of course he’s going to be a prick.
12.8. i don’t know what to say. i feel his frustration acutely. i don’t think he should’ve said what he said to barbara (can people stop pushing her around this season????) but that pressure to step in where your parent fails? to clean up their messes and try to think like them? to fall into habits drilled into you when you developed them as coping mechanisms growing up? I FEEL THAT.
every step he’s taking he’s putting 110% of himself in it and scarecrow’s still playing mindgames with all of them: i absolutely feel his desperation to take control of that game and turn it on scarecrow, no matter what it takes.
and he did apologise almost immediately, and finally--finally--actually works with barbara.
12.9. again, not excusing him! but i get it. and i think that’s a sign of great character writing.
Tumblr media
“did you know i just reminded emmram of all of her daddy issues? what the fuck????”
12.95. i love that dick&barbara, kory&kom, and gar are all approaching solving this mystery from different angles, each as valid as the other. also, conner is there as... emergency bomb defuser man?
13. it’s like all fancy rich people in fancy rich houses do is pour fancy rich alcohol into fancy rich glasses on pristine, untouched tabletops. i wonder what it’s like to live like that.
13.25. I KNEW IT! poor michael. it was nice knowing you.
13.5. man, kory is contending with a lot of issues that she’s successfully bottled up and compartmentalised until now. the cold reality that a child can seek out their parents as refuge and they can view the child as a piece to be moved in a greater game (never out of cruelty, though, never, and somehow that makes it worse), that truth of blackfire’s treatment on tamaran because she’s different, and her own culpability in what happened. she exchanged one family for another, after all, and left that family to die and her sister to suffer. like dick, like gar, kory’s being forced to reckon with what the titans are meant to be, the larger implications of creating their found family in their own space.
14. it’s probably because it’s one in the morning and i’ve had two glasses of wine but i did not follow that bit of exposition at all and victor freeze??? what?
anyway. look at them solving things! together! go team!
Tumblr media
“you made a deal with the mob?” oh the sense of betrayal on his face! fuck off, dick, your issues aren’t kory’s.
15. conner is really sweet and a bit of an awestruck crush on kom is to be expected. especially after that power rangers-esque transformation (i say this as a former huge power rangers fangirl. i’ve seen every series until 2007 including the original japanese versions and written fanfic for all of them. so i love a cool costume transformation, is what i’m saying.)
also?
Tumblr media
FUCK YEAH
16. i love the gotham crime families just chillin’ around eating ice cream. I LOVE THEM
16.5. that was a fun fight sequence, if marred slightly by that bit of awkward flirting between conner and kom. i wonder if she’s really planning to use him in a larger scheme to get kory back to tamaran, or maybe something else.
16.75. so i’m assuming that scarecrow has jason either so paralysed by fear that he can barely move, or jason’s withdrawing from the drug that he’s been sucking in every few minutes.
17. it’s nice to see them chill after a successful mission! and it can be awkward, but conner’s crush on kom and him striving to impress her is also, well, uh... cute.
17.5. i guess the dick/barbara scene was inevitable, especially given the... unresolved nature of their relationship in the flashbacks? and they’ve been through a rollercoaster together this episode, discovering and then destroying an incredible tool within a matter of hours, re-discovering just how well they work together as a team. dick’s swimming in the nostalgia. i don’t expect it to last as a long-term relationship, but i totally get why this is happening now. and hey, they’re cute!
i have a weeeirrrrd feeling that kory is going to leave to tamaran at the end of the season and that dick and kory will rekindle--or rather realise--their relationship just before that. it’s going to be devastating and beautiful and painful and i will be writing essays about it which would be me just wailing into the screen.
18. gar found molly!!!!!!! MOLLY’S BACK! \o/ gar is the BEST
19. that was a fun episode! i love this silly show, even if it does destroy me sometimes <3

Pokemon Journeys Episode 47. Let’s review:
1. The new little update to the episode prologue sequence shown above is a very welcomed addition! It really captures each Pokemon’s personality well, from Cinderace carrying his little bro Sobble to Dragonite lightly pushing Lucario in like a parent and their embarrassed child. Fafrfetch’d still needs more appearances tho.
2. That Vigoroth trainer looks like Lillie. When can we see her again?
3. I just LOVE that Dragonite continuously holds onto Ash before the contest starts. It’s things like this that make me headcanon that Dragonite has broken into Ash and Goh’s room a couple of times to take Ash to the garden and cuddle him like a teddy bear just so he can sleep better.
4. Throughout the episode, I love the fact that we get to see more of Chrysa’s personality outside the lab. Now let’s hope the other assistants can some actual development, because honestly speaking, they’re overall the most uninteresting and dull reoccurring characters the entire anime has had so far. (and considering how long we’ve had the anime, that is saying something)
5. Lucario and Cinderace sleeping next to each other? Adorable. Hey, Ash and Goh, perhaps you two should take this as a sign and give some attention to your other mons. I mean, please?
6. And now Dragonite is licking Ash like a doggo. I hear-by grant Dragonite the honorable nickname of Draggo.
7. Gonna be honest, I kinda forgot that TR’s Morpeko friend even existed. Nice for it to get some development/screen time as well though.
8. It’s pretty awesome seeing a bunch of old faces again, like Hydreigon and Blaziken. Many even spark with personality too! Great touches.
9. I’m so glad Chloe became interested in the competition right after disregarding the whole event, as it’s a very welcomed step-up from her usual unlikeable ‘I’m-too-good-for-everything’ attitude. Now let’s hope the writers continue to development her.
10. Honestly, if you enter an eating competition with a small, simple Pokemon while knowing mons like Snorlax will be competing, you deserve a big fat L. Sorry kiddos.
11. Plump draggo is best draggo. And since Ash is eliminated, looks like this is going to be another Goh’s Gets Another W Episode. Y’know, right after standing up to Mewtwo.... and capturing Eternatus..... and defeating Oleana..... and easily handling a Zapdos..... and catching a powerful Flygon.... and scoring a free Hitmonchan.... (sighs in frustration that can only be cured by draggo hugs)
12. My friends of Team Rocket, if you somehow got your hands on cookies that instantly inflate your belly and fill up your hunger, why not just eat them yourself if you’re so hungry?
13. Why is watching a Blaziken eat to stoically so satisfying?
14. Honestly speaking, James’ strategy of forcing his opponent’s Glalie to freeze up their dish to prevent it from eating was a lot more impressive than Goh picking the dish that Muk would like the least. sry opinions
15. Where did Skwovent even get that Tamato Berry? Isn’t that kind of like... cheating???
16. They tried to feed Blaziken Torchic-shaped snacks. Pardon mon le swears, but that’s fucked up. And Blaziken even sough to protect them!! THAT’S FREAKING ADORABLE!!!! Augh, I really need to uses a Blaziken in the games again...
17. Was Ash and Pikachu’s little knowledge over Blaziken’s evolution line a callback to May, or am I just overthinking things?
18. Morpeko is suddenly satisfied and Skwovent evolves into Greedent just as the right time. Yeah, it’s a Goh W episode.
19. Why is Greedent still eating? Should’ve Goh won by default since Blaziken left and Morpeko launched itself and TR away?
20. And like that, Goh wins. Surprised Lucario face.
And that’s the episode. A filler episode leading onto another filler episode, judging by the preview for the next one, but that’s totally fine. I honestly feel many people sometimes underestimate the pros of filler, whether it be for Pokemon or any other anime series. Yes, it doesn’t help move the plot, but filler can be good ways for characters to have fun, showcase comical moments, and make the world feel alive. While this episode had its share of funny moments and charming character interactions, the plot was kinda too predictable, but eh, it’s only filler so it’s no big deal.
I’d give this episode a 6.5/10. Funny and cute, but not really anything else.

The 100 Rewatch - All Seasons Ranked
*spoiler alert*
1️⃣ Season 5: 9.5/10
Tumblr media
▪️What was good:
Everything BLODREINA
The conflicts between characters were intriguing and well developed
How cool were new characters??? (by that I mean Diyoza and Madi, obviously)
It was refreshing to see new bonds/alliances: Spacekru fam (Raven/Murphy/Emori or Bellamy/Echo), Wonkru stans (Octavia/Miller/Nylah), Clarke/Madi, etc.
How did they manage to pull off decent plot twists in almost every episode?
▪️What was bad:
Let's rush Raven into a relationship because why not
Why didn't we get an episode of Spacekru flashbacks like we did of Clarke/Madi and Wonkru?
Blowing up Earth once again is starting to get old...
▪️MVPs:🥇Octavia🥈Echo🥉Murphy
▪️Favorite episodes:🥇Damocles Part I (5x12)🥈The Red Queen (5x02)🥉Exit wounds (5x06)
▪️Favorite line: <<You are Wonkru or you are the enemy of Wonkru. Choose.>> Octavia
2️⃣ Season 2: 9/10
Tumblr media
▪️What was good:
The mystery behind Mount Weather kept me 100% invested
Introducing grounder culture, definitely a highlight of the show
The beginning of morally-questionable decisions and trust issues
The developement of Kane & Abby's relationship was sweet
Finn & Anya's deaths as a ´no one's safe on this show' reminder
▪️What was bad:
Really? Another underdeveloped love interest for Raven?
Not enough scenes of Mount Weather kru (Jasper+Monty+Harper+Miller+Fox+etc)
Jaha, Murphy & Co's journey to the CoL was dragged across too many episodes
THAT JAHA & BABY EPISODE, WHAT WAS THAT?
▪️MVPs:🥇Bellamy🥈Lexa🥉Maya
▪️Favorite episodes:🥇 Blood must have blood Part II (2x16)🥈Coup de grace (2x11)🥉The 48 (2x01)
▪️Favorite line: <<Maybe life should be about more than just surviving.>> Clarke
3️⃣ Season 4: 8.5/10
Tumblr media
▪️What was good:
Simple easy-to-understand plot (basically finding a solution to a big problem) that allowed more time for character development & interactions
More screentime for the grounders, which is always a good idea - Echo&Emori&Indra&Roan&Luna thank you for existing!
They did a great job at showing that the concept of 'antagonist' is very relative as the protagonists are forced into an alliance with Azgeda
The season finale was epically epic
▪️What was bad:
Octavia and Illian WHY COULDN'T THEY JUST BE BUDDIES
Luna going psycho in the Conclave without a heads up - it would have been nice to have a hint or something in a previous episode...
Raven spending more than half of the season in the lab was not so fun (don't get me wrong, her storyline was great BUT they dragged it across too many episodes)
▪️MVPs:🥇Octavia🥈Clarke🥉Raven
▪️ Favorite episodes:🥇 Die all, die merrily (4x11)🥈The tinder box (4x05)🥉Praimfaia Part II (4x13)
▪️Favorite line: <There's nothing like a little pain to remind you you're alive.> Raven
4️⃣ Season 7: 7.5/10 (until 7x07)
Tumblr media
▪️What is good:
Time dialation in the different planets is such a cool concept! (>>time travel)
Indra being THE BOSS
So far they have been successful at making us care about most of the new characters (Hope & Nikki Bang Bang are so cool!)
▪️What is bad:
What is this Raven redemption storyline? Completely unnecessary at this point...
No main character has died YET - it's the final season & we're ready for some shocking/emotional deaths!
Yet another love interest for Octavia?? SINGLE & HAPPY AREN'T INCOMPATIBLE, PEOPLE! *let's pretend we didn't see Jordan flirting with Raven*
▪️MVPs:🥇Indra🥈Echo🥉Murphy
▪️Favorite episodes:🥇 Hesperides (7x04)🥈The garden (7x02)🥉The queen's gambit (7x07)
▪️Favorite line: <Faith may be blind but loyalty isn't.> Indra
5️⃣ Season 3: 6.5/10
Tumblr media
▪️What was good:
Smart writing overall
They had us REALLY stanning the team plotting against Pike (Kane, Miller, Harper, Octavia, Abby)
ALLIE's recruitment process was terrifyingly amazing
▪️What was bad:
They did a poor job of connecting and transitioning between the Pike plot and the ALLIE plot, they simply took turns dedicating an episode to one or the other towards the middle of the season EVEN THOUGH everything was happening in Arkadia
Too much blood/graphic violence, even for this show
Things happened too quickly, characters were 'transformed' with no/very little build-up
While the rest of the deaths had a significant impact (whether you liked them or not), Sinclair's was a filler as it did not seem to affect the plot
▪️MVPs:🥇Kane🥈Lincoln🥉Octavia
▪️Favorite episodes:🥇 Stealing fire (3x09)🥈Ye who enter here (3x03)🥉Perverse instantiation Part II (3x16)
▪️Favorite line: <<Get knocked down, get back up again.>> Lincoln
6️⃣ Season 6: 5.5/10
Tumblr media
▪️What was good:
The first couple of episodes with team explorers & team spaceship (I was all in for the Raven-Diyoza-Madi trio) were SO promising
The Clarke/Josephine scenes were GOLD - were we supposed to like Josephine that much?
Raven, Murphy & Co giving Clarke shit for her actions in S5 was satisfying
▪️What was bad:
Raven & Echo didn't even get a storyline and Indra was gone pretty much all season
Kane & Abby's deaths weren't as meaningful/emotional as they could have been - after S5 their deaths made a lot of people happy
The Octavia & Diyoza arc was dragged across too many episodes
Body-snatching isn't very original & the Primes plot wasn't really trascendent since they almost all died by the end of the season
The finale was dissapointing, there was no tension whatsoever
▪️MVPs:🥇Josephine🥈Diyoza🥉Emori
▪️Favorite episodes:🥇 The old man and the anomaly (6x08)🥈The red sun (6x02)🥉 Sanctum (6x01)
▪️Favorite line: <<[enters #102 into the lock to open the chest] You forgot Bellamy and Raven.>> Clarke
7️⃣ Season 1: 5.5/10
Tumblr media
▪️What was good:
Original plot
The establishment of Clarke & Bellamy as co-leaders was beautifully written
Raven IT WON'T SURVIVE ME Reyes
▪️What was bad:
Is it a scifi show or a teenage drama with love triangles & cheesy lines?
The special effects & spooky transitions were not very impressive
Most characters felt very one-dimensional
They never explained why Lincoln sided with the delinquents? All we got was: well he drew Octavia in his notebook so he's good!
▪️MVPs:🥇Raven🥈Jasper🥉Clarke
▪️Favorite episodes:🥇 We are grounders Part II (1x13) Murphy's law🥈(1x04)🥉Unity Day (1x09)
▪️Favorite line: <<We're back, bitches!>> Octavia
✨May we meet again✨

Top 10 Areas to Buy a Home in Hyderabad
“For every person who invests in a well-selected real estate in a growing section of a prosperous community adopts the surest and safest method of becoming independent, for real estate is the basis of wealth”.- Theodore Roosevelt
Real Estate Scenario in India 2019
In 2019, housing affordability showed a phenomenal improvement despite the economic slowdown. With predictions of growth in GDP to touch 6- 6.5%, according to the Indian Socio-economic Survey 2018-19, in the next year, the real estate sector is also deemed to be on the growth graph.
The concept of affordable housing has seen become the face of both the government schemes and also the private real estate developers. The real estate market has seen a drastic improvement despite the liquidity crunch after demonetization.
Best cities to invest in real estate in India in 2020
Hyderabad tops the list according to the Economic Times, followed by Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. With real estate developers in Hyderabad cashing in on the opportunity, the far-flung areas and the suburban peripherals of the city have become a sight to behold with gated communities equipped with a variety of amenities.
With the slowdown of realty all over India, it was assumed that the real estate market slowed down in Hyderabad too. But the reality is that the market in Hyderabad has expanded over the last few years in contrast to the markets elsewhere. With the gradually expanding real estate market, emerged new localities for residential and commercial purposes.
The commercial and industrial infrastructure developed at a rapid rate and this attained the need for the establishment of residential real estate within a radius of 10 km approximately. The market gradually expanded to the outskirts of Hyderabad and bordering the ORR. Since the main city is densely populated, the cost of real estate boomed over the years and this necessitated the expansion of residential real estate. The areas like Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills are highly populated and the scope for expansion of residential areas has become low due to rocky terrain, heavy congestion, and saturation.
The main reason for the expansion of real estate is due to the surge in the establishment of software firms like Wipro, Infosys, etc. The rapidly evolving infrastructure and the impetus given to the growth of commercial corridors play a major role in making Hyderabad a major hub for investments. With many realtors in play, customer awareness has increased on par with their demands and requirements.
This led to the real estate developers in Hyderabad taking care of the requirements of the customers into consideration like ROI, growth in rental rates, the existence of physical infrastructure like roads, schools, hospitals, transportation, etc. The average size of a home has become a major criterion along with affordability and sustainability.
Why development in Hyderabad now?
The Telangana Government’s new initiative of “Look East Policy” has provided an impetus to the development of infrastructure in the eastern part of the city including areas like Uppal, Nagole, Bhongir, Yadagirigutta, etc. The metro connectivity from Hitech city to Nagole, Inner Ring Road, and the social infrastructure have spurred the growth of real estate in these regions.
These areas are still under developing stage with proposed pharmaceutical and industrial plants, so the prices are estimated to rise in 2020 and after. Investing in a property in these localities now will promise high returns on investment.
Areas like Gachibowli, Kokapet, Patancheru, Nanakramguda, Choutuppal, etc have seen a booming infrastructure development in terms of both commercial and residential realty. The proximity of Outer Ring Road and the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad to these areas has pushed the development of this area with educational institutions and industries occupying most of the landscape. Areas like Patancheru are surrounded by residential hubs with apartments and gated communities for sale in Hyderabad with areas like Miyapur, Nizampet, Kukatpallyin its close proximity which is a major push to the development of realty in the peripheral areas. Nanakramguda and Kokapet are relatively newly developed outer peripheries of Hyderabad and also hubs of industrial and service sector establishments. The vast expanse of land available made it feasible for the construction of gated communities in Hyderabad on the lines of upcoming educational institutions and medical facilities. Since the requirement for the average home size has always been based on the family size, the demands vary.
Areas like Kavadiguda, Nagole, Uppal, Pragati Nagar, Kukatpally, etc. have been the hubs of development and the recent residential realty upsurge has created a demand for stand-alone apartments and duplex villas in Hyderabad. These areas are central to all amenities like railway stations, entertainment arenas, and government offices.
Upcoming real estate projects in Hyderabad are mainly focussed on Gated community villas, apartments, and open plots being undertaken by real estate developers with their main focus on HMDA approvals which provides an authentic experience to the potential home buyers.
Where in Hyderabad?
East Zone:
1.Uppal
The Medchal-Malkajgiri District of the State of Telangana borders the HMDA and is included in the Hyderabad Metropolitan limits. With the metro connectivity being expanded, the eastern Hyderabad zone has gradually experienced a rise in the real estate market. The Uppal neighborhood is home to a population of almost 1.2 Lakhs, according to the 2001 Census. With a growth in the software service sector in the region, the overall population of the area is estimated to have doubled. This has resulted in the need for residential realty in the surroundings. With an international cricket stadium in its vicinity, Uppal is an area sought after by the property buyers in Hyderabad.
2.Nagole
Nagole is a residential and commercial locality in Hyderabad. It is contiguous with the inner ring road and has direct metro connectivity to both Hitech City as well as to the main market places and government office complexes. Previously, the significant flow of traffic hindered the development of this area, which is now addressed by the Metro Rail.
3.Yadagirigutta
Famed for the Narasimha Swamy Temple and a pious religious sanctity to this place, the recent expansion into the outer areas of the erstwhile Ranga Reddy district has led the real estate developers in Hyderabad eyeing this place for new ventures. This sacred region is now a hub of real estate ventures including apartments, gated communities, and villas in Hyderabad.
4.Bhongir
This historically significant place with its ancient forts, structural and architectural grandeur was a tourist attraction till recent times. But it has now changed face into a golden duck for real estate developers in Hyderabad with its unexplored terrain and pristine lush greeneries. The place is connected by public transport and it is also famous for its rock climbing school which trains rock climbers in this adventure sport.
West Zone:
5.Nanakramguda
Nanakramguda is a suburb in Serlingampallymandal, Hyderabad famed as the IT Financial District. This area houses the IT SEZ and Film Nagar, both of which employ a large number of personnel. The area and the residents demand premium affordable housing. The huge demand for gated communities in Hyderabad comes primarily from the individuals and families employed here.
6.Miyapur
Flanked by the densely populated areas of Kukatpally and BHEL, Miyapur has the added advantage of unexplored territory as well as an already established industrial area. The need for low budget apartments in Hyderabad has led to the construction of low cost gated community apartments and villas in this region.  It also showcases many natural lakes and public parks for the residents to enjoy a serene environment. The additional benefit of last-mile connectivity through Metro Rail is a huge breakthrough for the real estate projects in Miyapur.
7.Patancheru
Pathancheru is the major industrial hub of Telangana state. Industries such as Rubber industries, Asian Paints, Pharma companies and many other MNCs are housed in this area. A number of educational institutions such as ICRISAT, Engineering Colleges, and Schools are the main pull factors for migration to this area. With rumors of high rates of pollution in the previous years, the area saw a decrease in real estate in this area. But the situation was effectively handled in the recent turn of events, and the realtors have come forward to develop this region.
North Zone:
8.Kukatpally
Kukatpally has been the initial growth hub during the expansion of the software service sector in Hyderabad. Gradually the area has been expanding in space and time to be the largest region in the two Telugu states for migrating population. The stand-alone apartments in Kukatpally have been in demand since the area’s inception. With an increase in the number of migrant employees to software and the industrial estates of Bala Nagar, the demand for residential establishments have also been increasing exponentially. The top real estate developers in Hyderabad are competing to provide world-class premium affordable housing in this area.
9.Bolarum
Popular as IDA Bollaram, this Industrial Development Area is one of the largest industrial hubs in Hyderabad and its surroundings. It is surrounded by Bachupally, Miyapur, and Ameenpur, all of which are industrial areas. Industries like Dr. Reddy’s Labs, AurobindoPharma, Mylan, Coca Cola, etc. have established their plants here. This also has led to a demand-driven development of real estate in Hyderabad.
Secunderabad:
10.Kavadiguda
Close proximity to the Secunderabad Railway Station, metro connectivity to all of Hyderabad and surroundings, establishments like CGO Towers, Power Grid, etc. Osmania University, Educational Institutions for competitive examinations, etc. are all the major factors for residential establishments in the area. Though the area has reached saturation, new sites for development have been taken up by most of the real estate developers in Hyderabad.
Hyderabad's real estate sector has shown a 30% increase in the residential sector. Property sales have increased significantly by 16% over the previous year, according to Hindu Businessline. Now is the time to invest in property in Hyderabad because economists and experts predict a surge in prices in the real estate market in Hyderabad in the near future.

#TheFlash Season 6 Episode 8 "The Last Temptation of Barry Allen Part 2" Recap and Review
Killer Frost, Cisco, and Iris wake up. Cisco puts a forcefield around S.T.A.R. Labs. Nothing gets in or out. Cisco has a plan. He’s been working on a photon emitter that should theoretically cure everyone of their “cure.” It’s made of the same kind of radiation that is used on cancer patients. Iris points out that this hasn’t been tested and could potentially kill Barry if Cisco blasts him with it.
Cecile and Camilla see the infection firsthand from the zombies now roaming the halls, led by our old friend Mitch Romero. Also, the power went out. When and how did that happen? Was it the S.T.A.R. Labs barrier? Did Ramsey do it? How?
Joe is trying to control the chaos by using non-lethal force. It’s not working. Ramsey shows up to gloat. Joe’s about to shoot him, but then Bloodwork Barry brings Ramsey his next victim. While Joe tries to talk to Barry, Killer Frost shows up. Ramsey just wants them dead and unleashes his zombie hoard on them.
Nash hears a voice behind the wall and, in typical and lovely Nash fashion, mocks it relentlessly. Then the power goes out in the sewer and he gets attacked by a zombie.
Cecile is so terrified that she can’t move. Camilla counts this as a good thing. The fear she’s feeling must be coming from the zombies, because she’s sure that there is no one else in the building, so this essentially makes Cecile a zombie detector. How exactly is someone paralyzed with fear going to make it out of the building, much less help?
Barry talks to Iris on the radio. He tells her to meet him where she said yes. Cisco points out that it’s obviously a trap, but Iris goes anyway. If nobody can go in or out, why does the extrapolator work?
Anyway, Iris gets to the loft and Barry’s obviously still Bloodwork Barry. Ramsey starts talking through him, explaining that the are one collective body and other Borgish nonsense. He wants Iris to join him, and when she tries to talk to Barry, he almost Reverse Flashes her. He doesn’t and lets her live.
Iris goes back to S.T.A.R. Labs and talks to Cisco. He wants to use the photon emitter on Ramsey and “Dark Flash.” Iris still has four hours with her husband and she’s not giving up. Cisco yells at her that they were always going to lose him, so he’s going to do this. It might work, but this is the moment that Barry was preparing him for. He says that there is nothing left to save.
Killer Frost is battling zombies. One of them stabs Joe and she manages to knock most of them down. Allegra shows up and brings the last one down.
Cecile and Camilla try to make their way out of the building, and it’s so horror movie. They almost make it, but they get caught and have to start smashing. They make it to the stairwell and now have to make their way out.
Cisco hits Ramsey with the photon emitter. It appears to work until Dark Flash shows up and breaks it. Ramsey almost kills Cisco, but instead decides to tell him his evil plan. He’s going to use Cisco to release his goo upon Central City. He’s going to storm S.T.A.R. Labs and use a particle accelerator explosion to infect everyone. He then quotes Barry in saying “I knew I picked the right guy.”
Killer Frost, Allegra, and Joe make it to S.T.A.R. Labs. Killer Frost tries to hand off the situation to Caitlin, to no avail. Killer Frost has to get over it and freeze the wound.
Nash is fighting a zombie. He finds something that works for a moment, but then it attracts more zombies.
Cisco and Iris talk. Once they’re done blaming themselves, they realize that Barry might still be alive inside Dark Flash. At almost that precise moment, Ramsey and Dark Flash show up. Dark Flash tells them to let the light in and they lower the defenses.
Cisco and Iris interpret this to mean that Allegra is going to blast Ramsey’s goo in the particle accelerator with a UV blast to make everyone normal.
Ramsey is on the intercom gloating. When he gets to the pipeline, he has Dark Flash bring him Iris and Cisco while he puts his goo into the particle accelerator. He tells Dark Flash to kill Iris, which is a dumb move because he can’t do it. Ramsey definitely should have killed Iris and Cisco himself, because having Barry do it is the quickest way to have Barry fight his control, which he does.
Ramsey then brings Barry to him and tells him to stop fighting. This gives Iris enough time to shoot them with something that she somehow has been hiding this whole time. Allegra and Killer Frost get to the pipeline while Barry writhes on the floor. Allegra does her thing and sends out a shockwave of UV radiation that knocks everyone back to normal.
Almost everyone, that is. Ramsey full on mutates into comics Bloodwork and Barry starts punching.  They can’t put Bloodwork in the pipeline, so Cisco suggests the M.A.C. Barry gets so distracted by that that Bloodwork uses his goo to stick Barry to a car. This is when Barry unveils his master plan. He let Bloodwork infect him so that he could show Ramsey visions of his dead mom? I saw the last episode Barry honey, you didn’t let anybody do anything. This also somehow makes Ramsey demutate into his original self. Ramsey is so distracted by talking to his dead mom that Barry is able to Flash him into the M.A.C. Hooray for Deus Ex Machina.
Lyla conveniently took him to A.R.G.U.S. offscreen. All the infected people are going to be alright, except for Ramsey. His condition is permanent, as far as they can tell.
Killer Frost is talking to Caitlin in the infirmary. She wants Caitlin at the forefront for Crisis. That seems slightly counterintuitive to me, since Killer Frost is the one with superpowers, but Caitlin hasn’t really had any screen time to deal with Crisis and Barry’s impending death, so I’m good with it.
They all have one more sappy and sentimental chat in the lounge while they sit around and wait for Crisis. Barry wants to give Joe his watch, but Joe won’t take it just yet. Cecile quotes H.R. that Barry’s superpower is hope. It’s a sentiment that they all echo, especially Caitlin. She says that Barry saved her life. Cisco reminisces about the good old days and Iris is thankful for time travel. Barry makes a speech and then the skies go red.
Nash thinks that the Monitor saved his life when it was really just Allegra. It turns out that the famous and arrogant debunker is stupid and gullible. He presses the buttons on the walls and then a bright light sucks him in. Hello Pariah. Time to watch you suffer.
I’m so glad that’s over and we can just get to Crisis. Plot holes everywhere. 6.5/10

My Top 5 Korean Dramas
Here are my Top 5 Korean Dramas (Spoiler Free)
Tumblr media
Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo (2016)
Plot: We follow our female lead, Kim Bok Joo, a weightlifter and her struggles to win the gold medal at the Olympiads while dealing with falling in love, preassure and stress. But in reality is really a cute sports rom-com.
I would say that this drama strong point is definitely the romance and the development of the main characters relationship. I don’t think I have ever shipped a couple more than I’ve shipped Bok Joo and Joon Hyeong.
But not only the romance but the comedy in this drama is perfect. I remember laughing my ass off with this drama and being extremely fun but still in a way that feels real. I never felt like I was watching something that was over the top or didn’t make much sense plot wise.
This drama is a gem and I can’t recommend it enough (at the time I was watching I recommend it to all my friends), it’s awesome! Watch it!!
Main Cast: Lee Sung Kyung, Nam Joo Hyuk, Lee Jae Yoon, Kyung Soo Jin
Genres: Comedy, Romance, School, Sports
My Score: 8.5/10
Tumblr media
D-Day (2015)
Plot: This drama follows a reckless doctor that is always getting in trouble. Leading in him being sent to a small hospital that barely has workers (I only remember being a nurse there tbh, but I might be wrong) and only a few patients. Suddenly an unexpectedly 6.5-magnitude earthquake struck’s Seoul and we follow Dr. Lee Hae Seong as he tries to save the patients at the hospital he was at, due to this being greatly damaged.
This.Drama.Is.Perfection!!! Great story line, acting on point and is so nerve wrecking but at the same time you will want to know what happens next.
Also let me just add that I stumbled upon this drama randomly because I was searching for dramas that Kim Young Kwang had starred in and I’m so happy I did.
Main Cast: Kim Young Kwang, Jung So Min, Ha Suk Jin
Genres: Drama, Medical, Romance
My Score: 8.5/10
Tumblr media
Life is Beautiful (2010)
Plot: Now let me just warn you this is a 63 episodes drama and yes I can understand that this isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but I still would like for you to give it a try.
We follow a family that lives in Jeju (one of Korea’s most known islands and travelling spots). They own an inn and we just follow their daily lives and family drama really. This is a slow paced slice of life (which I love btw) but it can get a bit boring sometimes.
I only started watching this drama because I heard they had an homosexual couple and that’s very unusual in Korean cinematography so I decided to watch it and it was everything I had in mind. They deal with the struggles of being a gay men in Korea and the homophobia around it. Also best parents that I ever seen in a drama EVER, just putting out there.
Main Cast: Lee Sang Woo, Song Chang Eui, Kim Hae Sook, Kim Young Chul, Lee Sang Yoon, Nam Sang Mi, Nam Gyu Ri
Genres: Romance, Family, Slice of Life, LGBTQ+
My Score: 9/10
Tumblr media
Shark (2013)
Plot: This is a kinda hard drama to talk about without giving to much of the story.
Han Yi Soo, a teenage boy, witnesses his dads murder and intends on discovering who was behind it. An event happens and he disappears for a few years. Suddenly he returns with a new name and denying his true identity. Jo Hae Woo, Yi Soo’s childhood friend recognizes him and tries to unveil what happened.
This has a bittersweet ending so I’ve warned you.
Main Cast: Kim Nam Gil, Son Ye Jin, Ha Suk Jin, Lee Soo Hyuk, Nam Bora
Genres: Tragedy, Melodrama, Thriller, Romance
My Score: 10/10
Tumblr media
Coffee Prince aka The 1st Shop of Coffee Prince (2007)
Plot: Go Eun Chan, a tomboy girl gets often mistaken for a boy, one day when she goes to a coffee shop looking for a job as a bartender (now hear me out, this was one of my 1st Korean dramas that I’ve watched so my memory is not that good and I have never rewatched it so I might be wrong about this) she only gets the job due to them only hiring males, so she lies and disguises as a boy.
She starts working there and the boss of the coffee shop, Choi Han Gyul, starts doubting his sexuality and developing feelings for pretty boy Eun Chan.
A lot of fluffy moments, absolutely adore this drama to death, It’s a classic and guys, Gong Yoo, that should be enough to make you watch it.
This drama was so popular in Asia that is has gained a few adaptions throughout the years:
 Coffee Prince Thai
Prince Coffee Lab
Happy Michelin Kitchen
Main Cast: Gong Yoo, Yoo Eun Hye, Lee Sun Kyun, Chae Jung Ahn, Kim Jae Wook
Genres: Romance, Food, Friendship, Comedy, Gender Bender
My Score: 10/10

Book Blog: A Taste of Blood Wine by Freda Warrington
The only reason why this took as long as it did was because I was getting adjusted to my new apartment down here in the south. It’s still a better vampire love story then twilight!
PLOT: Charlotte (Charli) is the middle child of three; her sisters Fleur and Madeline (Maddie). Charli is mousy, quiet, keeps to herself, loves science and lab work and would anything to make her father happy; even if means making her unhappy in the future. One night during Maddie’s birthday party everything Charli believed changed within an instant. There standing aloof was a strong, well-built, incredibly handsome Austrian that went by Karl Von Wultendorf. Maddie already wants to claim him as her own but he has set his eyes on Charli. Something about her attracts Karl to no end. Although he must tell her an awful secret if they are to have any form of a relationship. He is a two hundred year old vampire! His master whom he’s been trying to run away from for years is Kristian. Kristian is the epitome of a zealot and will do anything; ANYTHING! To make Karl submissive and part of his grand plan.
PROS: I really like how the characters play off each other and more important how they treat Charli; our main character. Her sister Maddie is like a spoiled child and when she doesn’t get her way or when Karl refuses Maddie’s advancements she blames Charli. Charli just wants Maddie to be happy, but she doesn’t like how Maddie handles everything.
There’s Charli’s father. Charli claims she looks like a clone of her mom and since her passing the dad uses Charli’s looks as a type of coping mechanism. In turn Charli feel like her father would never see her for who she actually is, just a replacement.
Then there’s Karl, Karl sees Charli for who she truly is. Not some saint, but a human with flaws and feelings. A human who craves to explore the outside world but has to walk on eggshells to make those around her happy. A woman who long to be loved, truly loved instead of artificial affections. There relationship throughout the book is what made the story work.
Keep in mind those were just the main characters. Let’s not forget Kristian the antagonist. He reminds of Frollo. From believing in God to the point where it causing destruction all around him. He uses religion to uphold his arguments, even if he contradicts himself. His faith is so strong it scares the other vampires, talk about power.
Another thing to note is that it’s nice that the author tried to combine science and fantasy in a time period (1920′s) where science was fully taking root. Inventors and scientist alike were discovering evolution, lighting, steam power, and electricity. Witches, Demons, and Vampires were just turning into folktales. So for Karl; a vampire, to ask a scientist where do human evolve from here is funny and intriguing.
CONS: While I did say that Charli and Karl’s relationship was the strongest point in the book; it was also very cheesy. Like, boarderline soap opera cheesy. There was way too much “No don’t leave me! Come back! I hate you, I love you, how could you blah, blah, blah” It could’ve been turned down a notch. Especially because Charli is supposed to be smart, rational character; so for her to get so emotional felt out of place.
Not to mention those characters I listed earlier were the main cast. I couldn’t even list all the other side characters. There were way to many which in turn lead to a couple of unnecessary side-B plots. Honestly if the author took out two, maybe three characters the story would not have changed one bit.
I did like it. and Apparently it has a sequel book. I won’t get it right now because I just started a different book but maybe in the future I will. In this time however I will rate it a 6.5/10.

What snacks to eat while watching movie
1. POPCORN
Nothing goes with a movie as well as popcorn, and if you prepare your bowl of the fluffy stuff the right way, you may even be doing yourself a favor. The hull of popcorn is loaded with antioxidants, which may help ward off cancer and heart disease. It’s also packed with healthy fiber. Now just don't drown your popcorn in butter and salt.
2. BLUEBERRIES
Not only are blueberries delicious, they’re a “superfood” that can help give your brain a kick start. Studies have found that a large serving of blueberries can give your concentration and memory a boost for up to five hours, which means that no matter how complicated your movie’s plot is you’ll be able to follow along. Scientists have suggested that this effect is thanks to blueberries leading to increased blood flow and oxygen to the brain, so you’ve got a perfect excuse to make a pre-movie smoothie. As an added bonus, the antioxidants in the berries also promote better cardiovascular health.
3. OILY FISH
If you’re cooking for dinner and a movie at home, consider making an oily fish your main course. Oily fish are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which have been linked to a host of cognitive and memory benefits. A recent study also found that weekly consumption of fish is associated with increased brain volume, so looking to the sea for your movie snacks may help you remember what you’ve seen on the screen for longer.
4. WALNUTS AND FLAX SEEDS
Of course, it’s tough to sneak a nice halibut filet into your local multiplex. Luckily, there are other ways to get omega-3 fatty acids. Walnuts and flax seeds are both stackable alternatives that come loaded with omega-3s.
5. CHOCOLATE
If it seems like chocolate can enhance any situation, there’s a reason: It can! Munching on chocolate prompts the release of pleasurable neurotransmitters like dopamine, which makes us feel happier. Everyone likes to feel happy while they’re watching a movie, and nibbling dark chocolate can make the experience even better: Researchers at the University of Nottingham have determined that the flavones in dark chocolate can improve brain function and boost overall alertness. Even better, these flavones can spark improved short-term memory.
6. PEPPERMINT
Popping a peppermint before a movie will do more than just give you fresher breath. Smelling or tasting peppermint can make you feel more alert and boost your concentration, so you’ll be able to give the flick you’re watching your full attention. Between this benefit and the lift you get from chocolate, is it any wonder that Junior Mints have been king of the theater concession stand for over 60 years?
7. GUACAMOLE
Not only is guacamole a crowd-pleaser that will draw raves at your next movie night—it can also help boost your brainpower. Avocados are rich in monounsaturated fat that can improve blood flow to the brain.
8. BROCCOLI
Yes, broccoli. A study released this fall from the Cornell University Food and Brand Lab found that viewers have a tendency to inhale unhealthy snacks as they watch action movies. In the study, two groups of students watched a 20-minute segment of Michael Bay’s The Island, while a control group viewed a segment of the venerable PBS talk show Charlie Rose. All groups had access to a variety of healthy and unhealthy snacks, but it turned out the action-movie groups chowed down on more calories and less healthy snacks. Counteract this effect by swapping the nachos for broccoli, which is packed with memory-boosting compounds like the flavone quercetin and folic acid.
9. PISTACHIOS
Now that you know movies can trigger mindless munching, pistachios can be your secret weapon in your fight to limit how much you wolf down during a screening. Studies have shown that eating shelled pistachios can help curb your caloric intake – having to shell each nut slows down your eating, and the discarded shells send your brain a subtle cue to think about how much you’ve been eating. Pistachios also bring along antioxidant benefits, so you’ll be getting the most out of the snacks you do eat.
10. EGGS
Want to keep your eyes healthy so you can keep enjoying movies for decades? You might want to borrow a page from Cool Hand Luke and snack on a hard-boiled egg during your next screening. A single hard-boiled egg contains about 6.5 grams of protein—complete protein, that is, which is essential for building muscles. Eggs are also rich in lutein, which strengthens the retina and can reduce the risk for macular degeneration. That means if you peel a few eggs (we don’t recommend 50 of them) along with Paul Newman, you might be able to keep your eyes peeled as you age.

Access to the internet A sense of humor
Course description:
60%+ of people who try to learn how to program end up quitting.
Why?
Is it because “programming just isn’t for everyone”?
Or is it because only those with experience in hard sciences can learn it?
No, neither of those are true. It’s simply due to the fact that the vast majority of people who try don’t have a basic understanding of the technology they’re going to use.
How exactly can you tackle responsive design if you don’t now how a browser works?
How are you going to create a desktop application if you don’t know what makes your computer freeze constantly (besides porn, obviously)?
How are you going to hide your confused facial expression the next time your site’s server crashes because of a “node socket problem” in your full stack Javascript?
If you’ve ever taken your computer to a technician and said “Make it work” or “It don’t work good. Me cry” then you’re exactly who needs this course.
Over the next 10 years the United States is expected to add over 2 million programming jobs. Jobs that pay well over $100,000 a year. And that’s just the United States (Merica’).
So if you’re trying to jump on the coding gravy train, put down your bronze statuette of Elon Musk standing on Mars, and start filling in the gaps in your “tech literacy”. Even if you yourself do not become a “coding ninja” yourself all the future coding ninjas you work with with thank you (and tell you to stop calling them coding ninjas).
About your instructor:
Hi, I’m Evan Kimbrell. I too struggled to learn the basics of programming. If failing to program were a sport, I’d be on the Dream Team.
Today, I run a web and mobile development agency called Sprintkick and over the last 4 years we’ve built and managed over 100+ web & mobile applications.
How does one so technologically challenged manage to pull this off? Well, first off I would disagree with “technologically challenged” (come on) and second it was actually straight forward. I just had to spend a concerted amount of time learning what I needed to know about basic computer, web, and programming technology as well as modern technology trends and advanced concepts.
This course is an accelerated path designed to get you to “I get it” and finally start communicating correctly & effectively about technology.
Full details Better understand the fundamentals of how programming works Understand the fundamentals of how computers work and how that relates to modern web technology Choose what programming language and path they want to pursue in their career Understand and apply the 8 basic concepts of programming Evaluate, install, and modify any content management system Understand world technology trends like responsive design, pair programming, PaaS systems, and the growth of APIs Make a decision about what technology and ecosystem interests you Correctly understand and apply the concept of a programming framework Call out your friends for not knowing the difference between a framework, library, and IDE (they’ll love you) Communicate with others about technology in a way that doesn’t immediately give away your inexperience Impress your friends during drinks with random factoids about Bill Gates & Steve Jobs Finally understand the reason Comcast keeps billing you $29.99
Full details Anyone interested in learning how to program that is already struggling or intimidated by the process Anyone who wants to better communicate with development teams they work with Anyone who wants to hire, vet, & manage developers more effectively Anyone who is simply interested in getting an in depth understanding of modern web & mobile technology trends

“So good! I’ve absolutely tried to quit programming before and quit many many times. Go through this course! Evan’s fantastic dead-pan humor and bite-sized videos are perfect for understanding coding before diving in.” (Akash Thakkar)
“It covers lots of important concept in this course! But Evan, it’s fine you try to re-use all the previous content you have made, just please organize them better and show those content you mentioned you would show in the next lecture and also make the quiz’s questions consistent with the lecture you talked in the section? Thanks.” (Steffi Li)
“I learned a little BASIC on my TRS-80 decades ago and then life got in the way of learning programming. 40+ years later, trying to learn programming again, I was totally lost, perhaps worse off than a total newbie. Evan’s course organized my thinking much like my financial planner did and now I have an idea of how to plot a path through the forest of all these different aspects of using a computer. I can now avoid totally wasting my time when I look at a catalog of courses because I now know kind of what the end game of learning development skills looks like. Just learning some of the nomenclature was extremely helpful.” (Larry Shepkowski)
  About Instructor:
Evan Kimbrell
Hi, I’m Evan Kimbrell. Thanks for checking out my course. Currently, I’m the Founder and Director of Sprintkick, a full-service, referral-based digital agency based out of San Francisco. Over the past four years I’ve overseen the development and launch of over 100 web and mobile apps. Clients range from two-man bootstrapping startups to multibillion dollar Fortune 100s like Wal-Mart, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and GNC. Prior to Sprintkick I worked as a VC for a new firm called Juvo Capital, based out of L.A. I spearheaded the firm’s expansion into Silicon Valley and into the Consumer Web tech category. In the long long ago, I was a co-founder for an educational software startup called ScholarPRO that raised a ton of money and then spectacularly blew up (in the bad way). Before it exploded like the Death Star, I went through five tech incubators (yes, five): Tech Stars, Excelerate Labs, MassChallenge, Babson Venture Program, and Sparkseed. I’m an avid Airbnb host for the Fisherman’s Wharf district of San Francisco. My space has the #1 search ranking for my area, has hosted over 200+ people, and is currently booking out 18 months in advance. I’ve helped multiple hosts get their properties listed and their prices per night maximized. Results range from an extra +50% in price for established hosts and +400% for brand new hosts. Hope you enjoy my courses!
