Astudillo y LABDIS de la UAGRO firman convenio para pruebas de COVID-19

Firman convenio el Gobierno de Guerrero y el LABDIS de la UAGro para realizar pruebas de detección de COVID-19 en el estado.

• El gobernador explicó que este laboratorio está avalado por el INDRE y se encargará de la toma y procesamientos de pruebas de coronavirus

• La Secretaría de Salud estatal informó en su reporte diario que hasta este momento hay 344 casos positivos, 52 defunciones y 148 casos activos

• Astudillo Flores destacó las tareas de sanitización y perifoneo en sitios con más incidencia; llamó a quedarse en casa, ya que está semana será la más intensa en contagios

Acapulco, Gro., 3 de mayo de 2020 .- En su mensaje diario a la población, el gobernador del estado, Héctor Astudillo Flores firmó el convenio de colaboración con el Laboratorio de Diagnóstico e Investigación de la Salud (LABDIS) de la Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Guerrero (UAGro), el cual está avalado por el Instituto de Diagnóstico y Referencia Epidemiológicos “Dr. Manuel Martínez Báez” (INDRE), dependiente de la Secretaría de Salud de México y cuya tarea será la de realizar pruebas de detección de COVID-19 en el estado.

Al referirse a este convenio, Astudillo Flores destacó que “para nosotros ha sido muy importante firmar el convenio, ya que vamos a poder tener una más amplia capacidad para hacer pruebas y tener los resultados más rápidos, porque en lugar de tener solamente un laboratorio del estado, vamos a tener el del estado y el de la Universidad Autónoma de Guerrero”.

En este tenor, el Ejecutivo estatal agradeció la disposición del rector de la Universidad Autónoma de Guerrero, Javier Saldaña Almazán y de toda la comunidad universitaria, por su interés y colaboración, quienes además, han hecho donaciones de gel antibacterial al DIF Guerrero.

Lo que se respondió

Al abordarse los resultados que se registran hasta este momento en el estado por la pandemia del coronavirus, el secretario de Salud, Carlos de la Peña Pintos, informó que actualmente hay 344 casos positivos, 52 defunciones y 148 casos activos. Por lo que hay 29 municipios que presentan contagio, 40 con vecindad sin contagio y 12 sin vencindad y sin contagio.

Esto ubica a Guerrero en el lugar 17 a nivel nacional tanto por incidencia como por número de casos. Presentando un aumento del 602% en casos y 940% en defunciones. De acuerdo a esto a Acapulco, Chilpancingo e Iguala, municipios que presentan la mayor incidencia.

En su participación, el rector de la UAGro, Javier Saldaña, ofreció todo su apoyo y colaboración para seguir en esta línea de trabajo. “Hoy son tiempos de colaborar, de estar juntos. Creo y estoy convencido, por eso estamos aquí los universitarios al lado del gobernador, porque ha asumido un compromiso de estadista, un compromiso donde tiene muy en claro que si nos cuidamos ahora, podemos salvar muchas vidas”, puntualizó.

Antes de concluir la transmisión, el mandatario estatal respondió algunas preguntas del público, destacando el trabajo de satinización en diversos puntos del estado e insistió en su llamado para que la gente se quede en casa, de manera particular en esta semana que está catalogada como la más intensa en cuanto a contagios.

Acompañaron al gobernador el director del Centro de Investigación de Enfermedades Tropicales de la UAGro, José Legorreta Soberanis, la directora de Ontología de la UAGro, Alicia García Verónica, la directora de la Clínica Acapulco de la UAGro, Marisol Salado Barrera y la directora del proyecto del Laboratorio de Salud Pública, Norma Edith Martínez.

VA - New Tangents In Kampala, London and Nairobi (Extra Soul Perception)

Extra Soul Perception is a collaboration and community music platform which started life between the UK, Kenya and Uganda, and continuing to grow and connect independent musicians worldwide. In November 2019, eight artists from Kenya, Uganda and the UK spent a week in Nairobi together exploring new tangents in soul music, the result was their 2020 debut EP ‘New Tangents In Kampala, London & Nairobi Vol. 1’. The collective was made up of Faizal Mostrixx (UG), Hibotep (UG), K15 (UK), Karun (KE), Labdi (KE), Lex Amor (UK), Lynda Dawn (UK) and Maxwell Owen (UK). Now with the with the addition of Itsmdnyt (UG), XL Middleton (US), Xenia Menasseh (KE), Sola and Azu Tiwaline (TUN), the collective are preparing to release their album ‘New Tangents in Kampala, London and Nairobi’, released 25th March. Having started life in 2019 at a writing camp in Nairobi, the album was completed remotely over course of the worldwide lockdowns of 2020 and 2021. Innovators in their own fields, each artist brings unique knowledge and musical culture to the project. Collectively they represent a broad spectrum of sound, each with a unique understanding of the power of soul music in its many forms. The album reflects this via an inspiring mixture of beautiful soul, glitchy beats, spoken word and bumping instrumentals.

My inspiration to draw this came from an artist  Labdi, who performs with the Orutu. I imagined cultures  surviving colonialism and existing in contemporary contexts.

A fresh collaboration project that aims to shed some light on the music and creativity emerging fast from the region. The music of Kabisa Sound starts from the earth roots and goes up towards the air. A beautiful blend of deep and modern city Africa. It is challenging to modernize a traditional recipe and find a place for it in the contemporary world, but the Kabisa Sound collective has risen to the challenge by making an explosive cocktail with ingredients collected in different musical regions in East Africa. The music production involves reuniting traditional instruments of ancient common ancestries: the Orutu, Inanga,Kalimba and Adungu , with complimentary genres: hip hop, singeli and electronic. The collective's members are DJ Msolopa and Msaga Sumu (Tanzania), DJ Mura and orutu player/singer Labdi (Kenya), DJ/producer iZaya and multi-instrumentalist Lawrence Okello (Uganda) as well as DJ Eric Soul, rapper Angell Umutoni and inanga player Deo Munyakazi(Rwanda). The musicians first gathered in Bagamoyo (Tanzania), for four days to learn about each other's musical languages.
