my labmates have beef with this one specific cartoonishly evil safety inspector, but also they are all actually terrible at lab safety and her criticisms are totally correct so sometimes this leads to conversations like this:

my supervisor: yea she told me there was a violation because we only have one insulated glove by the liquid nitrogen tank instead of two. and also that its a problem that there's no face shield by there because someone could get liquid nitrogen in their eye and go blind! how could that even happen?!?
