Sometimes being alone makes sense... Don’t be a Gama, In the land of Lama...series continues Lamayaru: The Moonland of Ladakh. Loacted 15 Km east of the famous Fotu La pass on the Leh-Srinagar highway, Lamayaru is popularly known as moonland by the local due to its peculiar land surface which closely resembles the surface seen on moon. One of the Oldest and largest Gompa. After having a close watch, walking through those old mud walls and prayer wheels of Monastery, I settled alone, watching the serene rough naturally formed mountains from the spot where we call,’ moon land’. Kept myself awake in that meditative mode of beauty beyond imagination. Land of God. I wonder today such a beautiful place on earth is getting affected with few cunning neighbours and China is trying to intervene in such a peaceful Land of Lama. Yes they are Gama’s who are trying to hurt Land of Lama. How do China calls themselves Buddha believer. I have reached finally... #leh Don’t be a Gama, In The Land of Lama...series continues Well now I am at 11562ft in Leh, surrounded by snow capped mountains. It was 8in the evening and quite bright as if it was 4pm. Leh Valley has longer days and shorter nights...so for us photographers and videographers it is more delightful. I was so curious wandering around in those lanes inspite of such a long drive. We all were feeling so energetic and suddenly that very night was so so amazing that all light were went off, and we could see clear sky with star trail. Yes! And we kept our belonging and just moved out to capture. The land of Lama . Beautiful memories from Spiti valley. Three firangis sitting on the top of that hill while I captured this image from the Dhankar Monastery. The beautiful Spiti river flowing by the side. It is a tributary of the Satluj river. As a traveler, I never mentioned about my adventure stories and experiences though I have lot's to share. I always wrote about the place and it's history. I really like to write and talk about nature, mountains and that feeling. I went solo to Spiti in July'18. I began my journey from Kanpur (hometown) and travelled to the valley. As a pillion rider, I explored the beauty of the valley. Summer season but I'd almost forgotten that is there a month called July? Haha. Nights were cold. I really wish to see Spiti in the winter like a white blanket.
