After taking a break from music, Irish singer Laoise (pronounced Leesha) is back with her new song ‘Healthy’. Laoise steps away from the heavier electro-pop of her previous singles and returns more confident and authentic than ever with her new, lighter sound.

‘Healthy’ is a fun, soft pop song exploring her thoughts surrounding relationships and letting go of anxiety. Laorise’s new sense of security both within herself and her relationships is reflected in this bouncy, playful song which confidently builds layers of sound which then melt away. The waves of instrument and vocals creates a calming and bubbly effect which perfectly captures the easing of anxiety, it’s impossible not to sway along. I’ll be keeping an eye and an ear out for more…

What’s the last song you listened to?

No Song Without You – HONNE. I tend to listen to this song and album when I need a hug. With the way things are nowadays, I need that more than ever.

What artist or album has gotten you through lockdown the most?

Taylor Swift’s ‘folklore’ has been my saving grace…

I messaged the artist who made Laoise when she arrived, to let her know that the package got here safely and to generally gush about how amazing the doll was. I haven't heard back yet, which is probably just due to busyness and the fact that, once the transaction is completed, the artist has no reason to worry about prompt responses

but part of my brain is still like "WHAT IF SHE DIED AND THIS IS THE LAST DOLL SHE EVER MADE!!!! HAUNTING??? OPENING TO A SPOOKY MOVIE?!?!?!"

What is Fintan’s favorite sea creature? Least favorite? And does he like to swim?

Fintan: I absolutely love any kind of sea turtle! Leatherbacks are my favorite though. For least favorite, I’d have to say the basking shark. I don’t hate ‘em, but they creep me out a bit.

Swimming is fun! The water is usually too cold for Laoise, but it doesn’t bother me. When she wants to join me, I cup some water in my hands to warm it up so she can swim in it, kinda like a mini heated pool!
