Lapis would admit it. She was tired from the long day she’d had. Spending time with Black Star and talking about what had happened was all Lapis really wanted. So, there she was outside of Black Star’s little cabin. Part of her had wanted to invite Black Star over to her Little Homeworld house, but... this had seemed easier.

“Do you mind if I stay with you tonight? I don’t really wanna be alone,” she explained. That was the easiest way to start. She’d see how things went from there.

i appreciate!!!! i appreciate SO MUCH im so glad someone is interested in my inanimate insanity kitties because they've been pretty much the only thing i can draw recently lol

At first, Lapis didn’t answer. She just moved to sit beside Black Star and carefully put an arm around her. Truth be told, she hated seeing her girlfriend upset like this.

“Yeah...” Lapis answered at last. “I’ve felt like that before. Do you wanna talk about it?” Maybe if they talked, she could help Black Star feel better. It was the least she could do. Especially, she thought, after all the times Black Star had helped her.

“Cm’ere.” Lapis didn’t feel like doing much that day. All she wanted to do was spend time with her girlfriend, and now that they were together? No one could stop them. She reached an arm out to envelope around Black Star so she could hug her close. It felt like the appropriate time to make into cuddle time.

“I hereby decree,” she said, playing at being serious despite the soft smile on her face, “that it is cuddle time. So let’s enjoy it.” She saw no reason why the two of them wouldn’t. After all, Black Star was a little cuddle bug.

“Go ahead, Black Star. There’s plenty of room.” With the onset of colder weather, Lapis had decided that it was time to make a pillow fort. She even had brought in a few blankets to make a sort of nest. Why? Well, for one, she thought that it would make for a great snuggling spot. For another, she just wanted to lay there for a while and rest.

Her hair was a mess, and for good reason. Lapis may have taken a nap some time after getting the blanket pillow fort set up. She looked pretty sleepy still, if one was being honest. Still, she pat the spot beside her and made a little room before covering herself again with the blanket she’d chosen.

“I know I should’ve asked before I took them,” she said. “I just wanted somewhere comfy to be.”

(ooc: Seeing that Lapis and Steven fan fusion reminded me that I hadn’t thought about Black Star and Lapis’ fusion in a while. Blue Labradorite. I’m... pretty sure they haven’t formed her since my old blog, oops.)

“I’m coming, I’m coming!”

Lapis laughed gleefully at how excited her girlfriend was. Honestly, though, she couldn’t blame her for being eager to start picking apples. They didn’t get to do this sort of thing often. While Black Star carried the baskets, Lapis flew up from behind and reached out to pick up her girlfriend. Some might have thought that sticking to the lower hanging branches was the best strategy. That was all well and good. Lapis had her own ideas, though.

“Come on! I bet the best apples are hanging up on the higher branches,” Lapis said. “I can fly you up to them!” It was the best strategy that she could think of. From where she stood? The best ones looked like the reddest, brightest apples atop the trees.

where they get married

Lapis and Black Star pick a secluded little place by a lakeside, near a waterfall with a hidden cave. Lapis wanted it to be near the water, but didn’t want it to be near the beach. Black Star likely suggested this spot because it was a hideaway she first introduced Lapis to after they met. The place holds sentimental value to them both.

when they get married

They choose to get married in autumn, in the early afternoon. 

what traditions they include ( do they get married under a chuppah and crush a glass, garter toss, ‘something borrowed, something blue,’ etc. )

Apart from the something borrowed, something blue tradition, Lapis suggests they make the wedding very non traditional. Even then, Lapis feels like her being blue is the best qualifier for the blue part and says they shouldn’t stress over it too much.

what their wedding cake looks like

Their wedding cake is very homemade, but still extravagant nonetheless. Lapis told Black Star she didn’t need to make it too fancy, but Black Star insisted on making it to the best of her ability. The cake is at least three layers of chocolate with chocolate buttercream frosting.

Lapis considers doing that to Black Star, but decides against it because she doesn’t want to upset her wife.

who proposed to who first

Black Star proposed first. She makes the proposal extra romantic and tries to emulate all the romantic movies she’s ever seen. Lapis, of course, accepts without hesitation.

who walks down the aisle and who waits at the altar ( or neither )

Lapis waits at the alter, and she waits for Black Star who is walked down the aisle by one of her cats.

what their wedding dresses / suits / other look like

I could see Black Star going either way in terms of a dress or a suit. If she did go with a dress, I feel like it would be something sparkly and cute. Lapis I also could see going either way, but if she were to wear a dress it would be something simple and if she did wear shoes, they’d be simple sandals or something along those lines. If she did wear a suit, it would be something along the lines of what Sapphire wore but with a either a blue bowtie or a black bowtie. Each would wear something the color of their wife regardless. Both of them wear flower crowns regardless.

what their wedding colour scheme is and what sort of decor they have

Their color scheme is very unique, being colors that represent the pair of them. The decor is mostly simple and cute, but Lapis insisted on including some of her better meepmorps.

what flowers are in the bouquet ( if applicable. bonus: what do the flowers mean? )

Carnations (love, pride, and admiration), gardenias (purity, sweetness, and joy), hydrangeas (gratitude), peonies (a happy marriage), and roses (love)

what their vows are ( eg poetry, traditional, improvised etc. )

Lapis’s vows are very non-traditional and improvised. She doesn’t even practice them or write them down, preferring instead to let her words for how much she loves and cherishes Black Star come forth. Black Star is a bit improvised as well, but jots her thoughts down on a notecard and gushes about how much she adores her wife.

if anyone’s late to the wedding

No one is late. Lapis and Black Star have a very small gathering for their wedding.

who’s in the bridal parties / groomsmen / other

Black Star’s party consists of her oldest cats, Lapis’s party includes Steven and Peridot, and their ring bearer is one of Black Star’s younger cats. He/she wears the rings on a simple collar around their neck.

what their bridal party / groomsmen / other are wearing

The cats come as they are, mostly. Peridot wears the same yellow dress she wore to Garnet’s wedding, and Steven has his same tuxedo.

who gives speeches at the reception ( bonus: what do they say? recount a sweet memory or two between them? tell an embarrassing story? )

Lapis was against the idea of speeches at the reception. Instead, they encourage their friends to bring pictures to the wedding and share the stories attached to them.

who catches the bouquet( s )

Peridot catches it. She doesn’t know what catching the bouquet means, but she’s happy about it.

what their wedding photos are like ( are they sweet, with the couple holding hands or kissing or ~gazing into each others eyes~? are they silly, with a snapshot of the ‘cake-smash’ moment? or are they artistic, with one of them facing the sunset or holding their bouquets? )

Their wedding photos are, in a word, sugary. Sharing their first piece of cake together, their first dance, them kissing, they even get a few pictures of them holding each other at sunset as the light reflects against the waterfall and lake.

what sort of food they have at the reception

All of Black Star and Lapis’s favorites are present. There’s an assortment of sweet things. There’s also pizza.

who cries first during the ceremony

Lapis will claim it was her, but it could be argued that they cried at about the same time.

how wild their reception gets ( who dances the best, who gets drunk first, etc. )

Their reception doesn’t get that wild, honestly. Black Star and Lapis, in their own opinions, dance the best.

what their rings are like

Once again, Bismuth can be credited for making the rings. Lapis’s ring is a simple rose gold band. Black Star’s is also rose gold, but hers has little cat ears and tiny faux diamonds in the middle of each ear.

what sort of favours they have ( heart shaped sparklers, mini champagne bottles, personalised candy etc. )

Lapis includes the best autumn leaves she could find for each guest. Black Star gives each guest a special heart shaped cookie.

where they go for their honeymoon

At Black Star’s suggestion, they go to Disney World.

something memorable that happens during the party / ceremony ( do they run out of ice and someone goes to get it in full formal wear on foot, does anyone fall asleep in the middle of the party, etc. )

Lapis and Black Star fuse, forming Blue Labradorite, after their first dance. They don’t stay as her for the rest of the wedding, but she is happy to be there for the time she is.
