Luke and Leia would not be the same people if they had grown up with their bio parents. If they had grown up with their bio parents, they would've grown up in the suburbs. Luke is like that because he grew up as a gay kid in the middle of nowhere tuning up 20-year-old cars he could then drive around without a proper licence while five different gangs roamed around. Leia is like that because she was raised by people in their forties who were on the radical left. They are not the same.

I have a headcanon that Jax was a teenager when he joined and has been in the circus for years. Also Gooseworx said Jax receiving a ton of praise would ‘concern and frighten him’. So I took that and ran with it.

Whilst I adore the idea that in the maybe 24 total hours Anakin was present on the Lars' farm, he fixed literally everything mechanical there because of *angst*, I think an infinitely funnier idea is that Padme did their taxes. She doesn't like sitting around doing nothing any more than Anakin, and she was there for several extra hours, there's no way she didn't ask for something to do, and I think that thing should be their taxes.

Cliegg and Owen weren't actually expecting to actually be able to use a coreworlder's work, but as it turns out, Padme totally helped them commit tax fraud even better than they already were without even being asked.

Bonus points if she was doing it at the same time Anakin was out committing bloody murder.

Mei and her daughter Joon, both Lar gibbons (also known as white-handed gibbons) at the Oakland zoo.

There are two of my favorite photos I've ever taken, because of the sheer luck in getting them. They were easily twenty feet up in the foliage of this tree, and Joon was happily rampaging across the habitat treetops as only a baby gibbon can do. So I picked a spot where I had a clear shot, set my autofocus to follow her, and set the shutter to burst every time I thought I got a glimpse of a blonde blur.

And then I checked my camera roll and found these two shots. I was stunned.

Joon was born on May 31st, 2023, so she's just a little under a year old in my photos.
