I love seeing folk clothing from all around the world, but a lot of eastern european clothing rll brings a smile to my face because it's so similar to a lot of portuguese traditional clothing too? Especially the lavradeiras. I wonder how that happened, mere coincidence, just similar tastes or contact between cultures 🤔

Adorned in gold necklaces and wearing the traditional Lavradeira costume of the region, a girl partakes in a procession during the festivities of Nossa Senhora da Agonia. The feast of Our Lady of Agony celebrates the patron saint of fishermen, and is not only the largest traditional festival in Portugal but also the largest outdoor showcase of gold in the world.

Made the Dalish squad on Metahuman!

First one is Fennas.

The left is Wenalen, he's got Falon'Din's Vallaslin. His hair isn't right tho lmao. He's got very wavy hair to the shoulders, swept back.

On the right is Aiselen, she's got Andruil's Vallaslin, her hair isn't right at all either, she's got Fulani braids.

Below on the left is Miriam, she doesn't have any Vallaslin on her face, but on her back, so she can enter Alienages more easily to help elves there. It's Elgar'nan's Vallaslin. She also uses an headscarf, stilled like the Lavradeiras.

Then right is Rivkah, she's 7 during Inquisition, and 17 (probably) during DA4, so she doesn't have Vallaslin yet. But she'll get Sylaise's.

tenho imensas coisas guardadas principalmente da licenciatura que durante anos tenho considerado adaptar para um canal do youtube (algo que sempre quis tentar fazer). cenas de cultura portuguesa no geral (desde momentos marcantes da historia, lendas, a gastronomia, arte, folklore, personalidades, etc).

eu disse que este ano ERA O ANO, mas sei lá, tou com vergonha lmao e também tenho sempre receio de a minha pesquisa não estar 100% boa e haver muito mais para dizer.

I'd love to see a kimono made from the fabric designs on my Portuguese folk costume. A Japanese designer is doing a kimono around the world project where they design a kimono to represent every country in the world. I really hope they take inspiration from the traje lavradeira!
