Cant stop thinking about emperor sy au...

Thanks to sy's modern knowledge of historical palace dramas and encyclopedic knowledge of pidw along with him having max stats on luck and charisma he survived the succession war (and somehow becomes an emperor? He is still confused on how he got it. Its not that he cut down his fellow princes nor did he scheme to get the emperor position but hes the only legitimate option left). SY doesnt have any experience on ruling kingdoms however (or anything really) but thankfully SY got an economics degree in his past life so hes not a fish out of the water.

Although the imperial rule doesn't affect the cultivation world directly, they're still impacted in the form of trade and manpower. The power to empower and cripple sects is in his hands. Ever since SY declaring SJ as his long lost brother CQM received a lot of lucrative trade. SQH is appreciative but hello?? He didnt write any long lost family members on SJ! So he got curious and begged the sect leader to send him instead of SJ to meet the emperor for trade discussion, and thats how he met his fellow transmigrator.

SY made him cough up all of his authorial knowledge and found out about OPM and HHP, although its already too late to save SXY as LBH has been born. Needless to say, HHP's coffers are running thin these days. With them having less money their manpower and support from noble families are slowly diminishing, the maintenance and security of the seals fell to disrepair, and SY (in disguise) with SQH's cultivation expertise managed to free TLJ. A few brief expositions later, TLJ and ZZL thanked both of them and slipped back go the demon realm. News of their freedom got out and HHP is scrutinized and support dropped even further than before.

SY did manage to visit QJP regularly to visit his brother and consequently, meeting LBH a number of times (making LBH absolutely smitten with him and considering joining the nonexistent imperial harem). With SJ more assured in his position (also maybe SY's promise of him always having a place in the palace and his family and less people being hostile towards him had an impact) SJ had less frustrations and projections to subject LBH and his students to. He still doesnt like the beast but his stupid brother (an emperor!) doted on him like a favored child so he tried his best to ignore him instead.

Things were going well until the immortal conference where instead of SQH orchestrating the attack, its TLJ and ZZL trying to get a hit on HHP's OPM and dragging LBH back to demon realm kicking and screaming. LBH is presumed dead.

SY found out of course but he didnt know the details (SJ remains tight lipped and insists that hes dead and thats all he should know) and thought LBH fell into the abyss and SJ pushed him like the original plot and grew depressed of thinking of his brother that he grew fond of turn into human stick. Also considering LBH's going to merge the realms and conquer the human kingdoms under one rule he might not have long either, he is, after all, a human male which by the novel's rules itself, a cannon fodder.

Years passed and the demon army, under the demon emperor LBH, conquered other human kingdoms and eventually showed up on SY's kingdom's doorstep but not for the reason SY's thinking of.

SY found himself still alive (!!!) and married (???) with LBH for alliance. CQM stays unmolested and unburned for years to come. SJ, however, remains a sour pickle with this whole arrangement, but at least hes left in peace.

Bonus :

LBH loves to roleplay as a concubine whenever he dropped by SY's palace. When SY visited the demon realm however, LBH loves to show him off that the demons thought of him as a concubine instead (much to SY's embarassment)

About 2y after yq enters cqms, Yq's Qi deviation, is left in the caves for 1y, gets Xuan Su.

Sj massacres the Qius at 15, flees with WYZ

• QJL is 4 years older than Sj, and became head of the household at 19 when his parents died

• In his former life, SQH's parents divorced early and created new families without him.

Because of Lbh's insistence, Sy shyly shows him the bite. It's redish and swollen around the two marks, but otherwise looks fine. However Luo Binghe CANNOT DEAL with the fact that someone('s snake) got to hurt his senpai like that. If anyone should bite Shen Yuan it should be him!

So Lbh gazes soulfully at Shen Yuan, takes his hands in his, and says "I'll make you forget about it, Yuan-ge." And Binghe. bites Shen Yuan. On the same patch of skin the snake bit. Shen Yuan goes completly rigid.

Binghe licks. Sucks a bit. He lets go barely a second after and replaces the blanket over Shen Yuan's leg. He's red like a tomato but Shen Yuan is-

Well Shen Yuan has ceased to respond. His brain is still stuck processing the part where Binghe was bending over his lap to put his mouth on his thigh.

Shen Yuan opens his mouth to answer when someone grabs his hand and pushes him into the limousine. The door closes, the car slowly speeds out of the school, and now Shen Yuan sandwiched between the handsome man who looks a lot like Binghe wtf, and

TLJ, "I see you've become familiar with my nephew", waggles eyebrows. Sy: "...And who are you if you don't mind me asking, sir?"

"Ah, pardon me." He extends a hand for Sy to shake."I am Tianlang-Jun, your father-in-law."

When did Shen Yuan he got married???

"Oh, and Luo Binghe's dad. And the CEO and mayor shareholder of Southerlands Corp," he adds dismissively. "Among other things."

Like one of the most dangerous mafia bosses that spent 12 years in jail and had gotten out barely three years ago on good behavior and after paying a hefty sum in bribes.

"I still don't understand what would you want to talk with me, sir," SY says respectfully while freaking out internally bc wtf wtf wtf why is THE Mafia king Binghe's dad??? And what does he think he and Binghe are-

In the z!zzl au, what do they do when lbh arrives?

"that's my baby cousin, and i -"

z!zzl takes a closer look at him. and he really looks like a baby sxy/tlj

so lbh has this weird an ding senior being both helpful (incidentally, he's sure) and utterly infuriating (thankfully it's such a mix that lbh does not obsessively latch onto his cousin, jfc)

sy transmigrates in. just in time, too - z!zzl was contemplating assassination if the bad blood between sj!sqq and lqg kept on. z!zzl can't let their favorite piece of eyecandy highly respected shishu get offed.

while the main svsss is happening, z!zzl is taking more missions outside. the system is imposing a time limit on z!zzl's stay - cang qiong is the protagonist's stage, after all. they start encountering lqg outside of the sect ("what are you doing here?" "answering shishu, this disciple is facilitating transport of rare goods from the realm border. but..." "hmph. too weak." and they manage to have lqg help them the first time, and thinks to leverage lqg to cause trouble for any uppity demon clans thinking to take advantage of junshang's disappearance)

takes time hanging out w gyx to sabotage the huan hua territories, and z!zzl genuinely likes gyx a lot. by the time of the big discussion conference, z!zzl takes that time to fake their death near the abyss opening. the abyss is a long ravine in the earth, and where the sy!sqq and lbh bullshit is happening is further away from where gyx almost falls in, and z!zzl manages to save him at the cost of falling in himself.

(airplane-sqh mourns his most efficient disciple. lqg feels... disappointed, that the disciple he was mentoring is now... what a waste. gyx is inconsolable, the palace master gleeful about the end of a troubling coincidence.)

lbh meets z!zzl in the abyss, while he's agonizing over the shizun thing and his own half-demon reveal. z!zzl's appearance disturbs him yet reassures him that this aggravating and helpful senior remains the same, demon or not. z!zzl does not accompany lbh, but saves his skin on some occasions and gets in his way on others. they part ways when lbh gets a hold of Xinmo.

something something, z!zzl is definitely using lbh to ruin huan hua inside out, instigating more trouble for the rest of the human cultivators, drama drama blah blah (i have nothing here)

the reveal that lbh is related to z!zzl will come very late, when tlj is out and doing his thing and z!zzl's plans have come to fruition. supreme feelings of betrayal on lbh's part (none of his blood family wanted him) whereas z!zzl "o i knew i was forgetting to say something..."

lqg's feelings of betrayal, too - feeling like he personally needs to kill z!zzl to avenge his honor, but z!zzl is still so respectful and admiring towards him

Thoughts

So... I finished SVSSS. Gonna just stream out my thoughts. Will be long cause I wanna cover all my final opinions. Then I’ll shut up about it lol.

So, all in all, the novel was enjoyable and fun. Definitely can't say I have the same emotional investment in the characters as I do in MDZS though, except SY, he's my favorite.

To start, I guess this is where fanfics will come into play, but I want more SY and Airplane interactions. They're the only two that can truly understand the other's situation and I think that’d make for a lot of interesting and fun interactions. Though at the same time it's also funny how they have that understanding but their current relationship is basically just like, not a love-hate relationship. But a.. somewhat camaraderie I'll help ya out maybe if you need it-but I also don't particularly like you, relationship. Still, I am falling onto the Cucumberplane wagon (not in a shippy way though).

As for MBJ and Airplane.. I just wish the novel went into the status of their relationship after everything that happened. SQH was constantly stressed out by him and seemed to have had his share of beatings from MBJ. I saw shipping stuff with them as I was reading it and I was like.. ehhhh? At that point the only connection I knew was that MBJ was the one who was supposed to kill him, so I was like ?? Where did that come from. By the end of the extras, I wanna say I'm on board with it lol, but I just wish we saw more.

Tianlang-Jun and Zhuzhi-Lang... :( I love them and am really sad for them. And yes, I do constantly forget that ZZL killed Gongyi Xiao (who I liked a lot), but come on. He's snek Wen Ning and you can't tell me otherwise. I also actually like Shen Jiu's character. Which is kinda funny thinking about it, cause for example I know many ppl find JGY to be a sympathetic villain, and while I can understand, I still hate him lol. But SJ, who feels very similar to JGY in some ways, I find him really interesting and want to explore him more (that's what fanfics are for ayyy). Funny how all the antagonists of this story caught my eye lol. I didn't care for any of the villains in MDZS in terms of nuance (not that they were poorly written, but they just weren't the Type™ I fall for). But SV managed to get me to want to know more about all of them.

Bingqiu final assessment.... complete indifference. It wasn't as terrible as it could've been, and the extras did make it better, but idk. I flipped flopped a lot as I was reading regarding whether I was okay with it. The 50s chapters, no. Then it got better. Then chapter 80 happened and I was just.... it was genuinely painful getting through that chapter lol. I was constantly pausing and just.. collecting myself. Then the extras and I was like, hmmm it seems.. ok I guess. But I still think it's not the healthiest relationship. You can’t tell me his spiel in chapter 79 isn’t still a total guilt trip. Xin Mo exacerbates his negative emotions, it doesn’t make them up. He’s also constantly jealous even in the extras, making comments of suspicion on the slightest things and just wanting SQQ’s attention for himself. His whole world revolves around SY, and that’s just not a healthy thing for any relationship. It’s undeniably obsessive, and while I don’t see LBH acting on his jealousy, I think that’s only because “it’d make Shizun sad” and not because it goes against his morality. I think LBM is just as capable of doing messed up stuff (murder, torture, etc.) as LBG.

I also just feel like there's something that just doesn't connect between SY in the whole novel, and SY in the extras. By chapter 78 he still did not seem particularly reciprocative of LBH's advances. And even within the extras he's very no-touchy and anti-PDA. He tends to refuse LBH’s requests for intimate moments (until the crocodile tears guilt him into doing what LBH wants) and overall is easily embarrassed, like he's not confident in this relationship. I think at the least more lines of buildup should’ve been added, particularly in moments where it was just the two of them.

And you know what also kinda bugs me about it? I dislike how much the story pushed on that SY was confidently straight since birth. If you want to convince me that the initially ‘straight’/uninterested character ends up falling for another guy, just don’t push it so hard in my face contradicting that. Wei Ying flirted with girls, cool yeah. But the novel never gave the impression he was completely closed off to the idea. With how WY is written, I can totally see him being bi. But SY is more like, well I somehow ended up raising the ML as gay but hey that’s not so bad I guess, at the last minute. I can't say I ship LiuShen either, but I can definitely see the appeal when the canon alternative may easily not float your boat. Nothing beats Wangxian in my heart though 💕

As I expected, am sad with how the relationship with Cang Qiong Mountain ended up. I mean I guess it wasn't necessarily on bad terms, but basically his other disciples are left without their shizun and the sect's whole familial relationship is scattered. I guess it's because I appreciate Wangxian staying in the Cloud Recesses, having this space of theirs and the Jingshi that they can call home. I read the fanfics that have LWJ making WY a lotus pond out front and just their beautiful domestic post-canon life. I love that they can go out night hunting with the juniors. They can go out and travel, just the two of them, when they want. They could retire one day if they wanted. But they'll also always have a family to come back to. LQR begrudgingly accepting WY in time. The bread and butter that is Yunmeng bros reconciliation. Bingqiu.. doesn't really have anything like that. For instance, Liu Qingge and LBH are on terms that I don't feel could ever be recuperated the way WWX and JC could. I don't think Bingqiu could ever stay at CQM in complete comfort. So that's just a little sad.

Also is it just me who, when reading, would always imagine TLJ with short hair, even tho nobody ever has short hair in these novels lol.

SJ does NOT like LBH putting an arm around his baby brother’s waist, but he has learned not to say anything because SY will get mad. He still wonders if he can get away with “accidentally” shooting LBH. Meanwhile, TLJ is waxing poetic about his Tragic Romance with LBH’s mom (complete with the hot steamy sex they used to have). This is very awkward for everyone. SJ contemplates shooting TLJ as well.

I don't think he'd be clumsy enough to shoot anyone accidentally and SY knows that. It's better to keep the war cold, and think of countermeasures to break up that relationship— without actually doing harm to his brother. This is one of his most difficult projects, but SJ is aggressively persistent in this matter. Especially after finding out who Lbh's father is. Oh, he just knew there was something foul in that beast's blood.

TLJ is recounting his love story while the others listen and eat snacks (courtesy of the same waiter) while LMY records the whole monologue on her phone for future reference. She'd be taking notes too but that'd look too conspicuous. MBJ is unfazed. Sqh is eating and not paying much attention because he knows Lmy is recording. NYY is sobbing on a napkin and Shl is drinking wine and rolling her eyes at the mafia boss sob story; blah blah, going to jail on false accusations and not being able to get out in 10 ten years, what about her father? He should have gone to jail years ago so she could inherit his company and all his assets. Maybe she should frame him for the actual crimes he has committed and gotten away with.

When TLJ gets to the part of SXY's death and how he uncovered the truth after getting out of prison, Lbh's hands are silently shaking, his eyes wide open and dry as he looks past Lqg's shoulder, as if he's not paying attention. But SY knows he is, he can feel Lbh trembling slightly, and his heart squeezes something painful. SY can't help but put his arm around Binghe and stroke his back. Lbh grabs his other hand under the table in a tight grip and doesn't let go for the duration of the stay in the restaurant.

TLJ finishes talking and then

"Well, this has been nice. But now we have to go. Nephew, grab my son-in-law."

Everyone stands up and are about to fight the two of them with swords and table knives, but, surprisingly, Shen Jiu stays calm and continues to sip his wine and cut a piece from his Wagyu beef. SY looks at him puzzled for exactly three seconds before relaxing and letting ZZL escort him out of the restaurant- with Lbh clinging to SY's other arm.

Everyone: ?????

Lqg: "Why are you letting them go??"

SJ: "Wait and see."

TLJ and ZZL are suspicious but they don't miss the chance and slowly back away from the table. TLJ opens the door of the restaurant and—

"Tianlang-jun, you are under arrest for kidnapping a minor and violating your parole."

"Really? Oh well."

With too much nonchalance for the situation he is in, TLJ gets into the police car and waves a hand in goodbye.

"We'll meet again, son-in-law, child of mine!" To the police officer: "You know, this is how I met the love of my life. She arrested me when I was..."

The police car speeds away as everyone watches.

"Hold on, where is Zhuzhi-lang?" asks Lqg.

Lbh scowls: "He got away while the police were distracted by that man." Not his father.

"Tch. He's going to be a problem."

Lbh hugs SY closer. "He won't get to Yuan-ge again. I'm making sure of it." Then to SY. "Yuan-ge, I should stay at your house-"

"Absolutely not!" SJ cuts him brusquely. "He's staying with his brother, you mongrel-"

"Jiu-ge!"

"I have a gun, I can protect him from the mafia-"

"Ehem." Yqy intervenes with a forced smile. "What if we get back inside and finish dinner? We can talk about that later."

After they leave the restaurant, YQY, falling back into the role of club president, instructs them to go home and promises he and SJ will visit the club tomorrow to talk about what happened.

ZZL didn't get arrested because he's not of age yet and TLJ covered for him. He has not way to go anyway because SJ paid the waiter to blowout their tires as a back-up plan.

Poor SY! He suffers so much XDD! Who’s the one to bite the bullet and tell Shen Jiu that his brother is missing? (It’s probably either SQH or MQF). Shen Jiu hits the roof when he gets the news. This is the beast’s fault, somehow. He KNOWS IT. Everyone has to team up to find Shen Yuan.

They are too afraid to tell SJ themselves or don't want to go to the trouble of speaking to him (lqg's case) so they tell Yqy and HE tells SJ.

The Shen Yuan Rescue Operation has started!! Lqg and Lbh are arguing over who gets to lead the team, until Mqf subtly suggests tha ofc their dear president is the best candidate— Sqh can't get a moment of rest. But hey Mbj is helping them so it's not that bad. And the girls (Lmy, Nyy, Shl) are there too.

Everyone pulls resources to track down Sy. From the recordings of the security cameras they're able to find out who took Shen Yuan (Lqg: I told you he was suspicious [about ZZL] Lbh: *breaks the edge of the computer table) They can't see who's inside the limousine though.

In the middle of their car ride (bike ride in Lqg's case) to the last place SY was seen (a five star restaurant where Tlj made a stop to have dinner with nis guest and his nephew) Lmy receives a notification– it's her secret de fanmail account, password and fingerprint protected. It's a letter from a very enthusiastic fan with some adventurous ideas...

doesn’t do babyshit - ends up dragging z!zzl to the human world to see a play bc it entertains tlj, it will entertain baby.

tlj has a captive audience that has to listen to him babble about the sappy love story from the play. he does not expect z!zzl to have an actual opinion.

“tepid,” z!zzl says while eating their leg of roasted duck. their eyes, while disguised, are still mostly unblinking and hold a faint yellow glow. but at least tlj doesn’t have to tell them to not eat raw meat, or not bite random humans, or not stick their tongue out to ‘look’

with pidw metaknowledge only, it’s a disadvantage. the books are biased towards lbh’s perspective. he doesn’t have the full picture, despite his powers.

huan hua’s managed to turn the entire righteous cultivation realm against tlj. and without knowledge of the old palace master’s absolute scumtrash level of deviousness, they are caught unaware.

sxy is separated from them. tlj under a mountain. the differences are small, but perhaps enough to make a difference (not that z!zzl would know)

1) z!zzl isn’t an absolute doormat to their uncle. 

2) z!zzl believes in sxy. doesn’t believe she would do such a thing. there’s enough human intuition left in z!zzl to get that.

z!zzl barely escapes with their life and form intact - they’re reduced to looking like a kid.

they need to find sxy! the kid! luo binghe! his shitstorm tirefire of a childhood!
