Silver’s desire for peace (as symbolized by maple leaf 🍁 shape to his quills) seems to be fueled by empathy he has for the world and people in it. Silver’s feelings reflect the environment and those around him as it has been noted that:
The blue sky makes Silver feel at peace
He can’t help but smile when he sees smiling faces and wants to become a hero because it means being someone that can protect smiles
Silver denotes his good futures as happy ones or ones where people have a smile
Silver will drop his mission to help those in need, he simply can’t say no to a sad face as he helps Amy and takes a job as a delivery boy because of this
Natural beauty, flourishing environments or just places where people are prospering and living peacefully take his breath away
Desolate or destroyed environments sadden and upset him
He cannot stand the suffering of the people in his bad futures

I just learned about "satanic" leaf-tailed geckos, do you have any idea perchance why they are called that??
If you catch them from the right angle, they look like little hellions out to cause mischief.

[ID: an illustration of a gold and purple gecko on a dark branch, surrounded by wavy green leaves on a purple and orange background. End]
Satanic! Leaf! Tailed! Gecko! They come in a bunch of different colors and their leaf-shaped tail is adapted to help camouflage them amongst dry leaves.

Love how loyal companions are to you. I tell Danse to "stay there" while I scout out a building and come back to find him being pummelled by 20 supermutants and not moving a muscle. I ask Nick to help me with a terminal and he sprints in from across the building. I once forgot X6 in a coffee shop because I asked him to sit down with me and forgot to tell him to stand back up.

Prints of ‘Nine’ drop tomorrow, Thurs 24th Nov at 12PM (PT) on my store! I wanted to depict the nine-tailed fox spirit, an East-Asian myth. To this day, I think it’s one of the coolest pieces I’ve done, so I’m excited about releasing it as a print! More details here: https://kelogsloops.com/prints
It’s believed the demon (known as kyubi in Japan or huli jng in China) is a shapeshifting entity that shifts between a charming woman and a demonic fox spirit that feeds on spirits of the living. I think of foxes as elegant animals, but the myth has this dark twist to them, so I was really drawn to this ‘two-faced’ notion. This idea of a creature exists along a fine line between something so beautiful, and yet something so evil. So, trying to portray the fine duality between its charming and its sinister nature was probably the most fun part!

Animal of the Day!
Satanic Leaf-Tailed Gecko (Uroplatus phantasticus)
Tumblr media
(Photo from Reptile Direct)
Conservation Status- Unlisted
Habitat- Eastern Madagascar
Size (Weight/Length)- 100 mm
Diet- Small insects; Snails
Cool Facts- Yes, that’s actually its name. The satanic leaf-tailed gecko is named for both its leaf shaped tail and the small horns above its eyes. Originally described in 1888, it was thought to be a mythical creature from its beautiful appearance. Its camouflage perfectly blends in with the thick Madagascan rainforests. The gecko’s feet have adhesive hairs on their toes that maximizes their surface area and allows them to stick to vertical surfaces. If their camo fails, the satanic leaf-tailed gecko opens wide and shows off its vibrant red throat with the hopes of scaring off birds. Due to habitat loss and the illegal pet trade, these geckos are at risk. Luckily, three national parks protect the rainforests that the geckos call home.
Rating- 11/10 (Lizardman, take me by the hand.)
