एक दिया

मैं तो दिन भर खाली बैठी थी

और शाम हो गयी

कुछ देर और यूँ ही बैठी रही

और रात  हो गयी 

बत्तियाँ गायब थी

कुछ सुझा नही

एक दिया लगाया

और दिवाली हो गयी

अब वह भी दिख रहा था

जो दिन में छुपा हुआ था

दिन भर की उलझन एक सवाल था

और जवाब एक कोशिश में था

कितना भी गहरा अंधकार हो

कितनी भी लंबी रात हो

प्रयास का एक कदम उलझनों को हटा देता है

जैसे एक दिया अंधकार को मिटा देता है

Wake up before sunrise.

Waking up before sunrise is such a calming experience. If you cannot have time to yourself during the day, you can have all the time in the world when you wake at 5 am.

You can light up candles for a source of light. Make some coffee or tea to wake up and feel warm.

Wear a large sweater, get comfy.

Open the window, take a deep breath of the fresh morning air.

Once you’re ready with your books and pens, start studying. Study while watching the sun rise. Study while watching the flames of the candles illuminate your dark room. Study while listening to classical music and silently humming your favorites parts.

Put your hair up in a messy bun, or a ponytail.

Now start studying because you have no excuses. Study because you want to prove your friends, teachers, family members wrong. Write your cursive notes in rich black pens. Read them over and over until you can say them without looking at the paper.

Have a pen or a pencil tucked behind your ear, in case you are so deep into your studying that you dropped your pen and can’t find it so you have to use the one tucked in your ear.

Don’t you want to feel that feeling of success when the teachers marks you as the highest scorer? Don’t you want to make the people you love proud of you? Fine, let's take everyone out of the picture and ask the most important question, do you want to succeed in life and be proud of your achievements?

Ask yourself this question every time you don’t feel like studying or are starting to study. Remember that hard work pays off

Now, off you go study.

Today was actually a reeeally great day. I got the reading text I wished for in my favorite course, got my next tattoo which turned out beautiful (plus I had an amazing time at the durga pandal with my mother) and had a visit to my best friend home in the evening!

I was really lazy today, but I finished what I had planned for today even tho it took me an embarrassingly long time. i think it’s important to have creative hobbies that you don’t necessarily make money from. like, money shouldn’t be your motivation for doing them, you should be motivated by the desire to create something or express yourself with something other than words. I’ve been taking so many notes but i don’t think i absorbed any of it.

Tomorrow I'll try my hardest to be present, to start the day and not mope around, to complete what I need to complete and drink 15 l of water!!

*Poetry on love*

वो आये कुछ इस तरह से हमारी ज़िंदगी मे

लगा जैसे भूल आये थे हम इन्हें पिछली ज़िन्दगानी में

ना हवाएं चली

ना घंटी बजी

और ना ही उड़ा ये दुपट्टा

पर क्या बताये जनाब

कुछ ऐसी थी हमारी हालत

पता ही न चला ,हमारा दिल भी तो नही है अब हमारे सीने में

क्या वक़्त था वो और क्या था वो शमा

जब कहा उन्होंने हमें प्यार से , i love you मेरि जान

कुछ ऐसा जादू था इन 3 शब्दों में

लगा जैसे भूल आये थे इन्हें पिछली ज़िन्दगानी में

बस दूर दूर से बातें हैं

मुलाक़ातें भी आधी हैं

और है हमारे पास बस एक तस्वीर

जिसमे उनकि आंखें मदहोश करने वाली हैं

ये क्या हुआ ,कैसे हुआ ,कब हुआ

हम तो यही सोचते रह गए

और वो तो हमे हमसे ही चुरा के ले गए

कहता है दिल कुछ तो बात है इस दीवाने में

क्यों ये अजनबी आने लगे हमारे ख़यालों में

हाँ, सच में भूल आये थे हम इन्हें पिछ्ली ज़िन्दगानी में

अब दिल करता है ले अपने हाथों में उनका हाथ

और पूछे छोर तो ना दोगे तुम हमारा साथ

The resolution taken by a woman from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, for the construction of Ram temple is now going to be fulfilled.

81-year-old #UrmilaChaturvedi, a resident of #Jabalpur, vowed that after the disputed structure collapsed 28 years ago, she will not accept food until the construction of the #RamTemple begins and now when #Bhoomipujan is going to be done for the construction of the Ram temple on August 5. Urmila sees her resolve fulfilled.

Urmila Chaturvedi was 53 when the structure collapsed in 1992. When there were riots in the country after the collapse of the structure, Urmila had taken a pledge that on the day the construction of the temple would start with the consent of everyone, she would take food.

I always wanted that indian education system should be change.

It is very much needed. The textbooks don't provide practical knowledge. There is one way communication from teachers which kills creativity in students. The focus should be on minimal but quality education like developed countries teacher should serve as a guide and student should be encouraged to do research and get the appropriate solutions. The exam pattern should also be change.. More practical questions to check the subjects understanding rather cramming power..

Students should be encouraged to undertake field project to get exposed to challenges in the real world, outside the four walls of the classroom, and they can be asked to make their presentation followed by discussion in the class, credits to be given on the basis of that.

It will greatly supplement their theoretical knowledge, and help them realize their full potential. It will prepare them for facing challenges in the real life, in a great way.

I am very happy that mother toungue is also included as a medium of Instruction.

Remembering mahathma

I miss being outside and seeing the pale blue sky like a ceiling over me. I miss the birds and being so close to them that I hear them twittering. I haven’t left my house more than twice since quarantine has begun and I’m starting to watch the days melt into each other. Sunday melts into Monday into Tuesday and so on until everything is one amorphous being. This has been a really sticky situation for everyone, regardless of the country. I’m mostly sorry for the ones that have it worst or are first or second hand affected.
