Day 26: Learning Persian

Listening

SaliTalk: 25min. I listened to her mostly as background tonight.

Session: My tutor has been consistent with using mostly Farsi throughout the session. I'm still comfortable with her routine questions and any questions that she asks that I can also read. I've been able to get the gist of her anecdotes but it does take me some time to fully comprehend what she's trying to say. I sometimes translate out loud to make sure I understood her.

Speaking

Session: I'm a lot more comfortable speaking but I think it's also taking away from my accuracy. Not that I was super accurate to begin with. But today I noticed errors and hesitation with structures that I should technically have nailed by now. It also does still take me a while to get a full single thought out. My tutor is so freaking patient idk how she does it.

Studying

Mango languages: 25mins. More subjunctive expressions and some vocab.

Anki: 15mins. Reviewed week3 deck.

introduction.

this is my first and newest study blog! i’ll try my best to have an active blog by july 12th (one week) due to big events happening this week. :]

below is a quick/small introduction to myself and why this blog was born.

about me:

my name is winter. i’m currently 19 years old and i live in kansas, usa. i’m too ambitious for my own good (too many dreams,) but i don’t mind it because it keeps me dreaming, happy, and inspired! i work part-time in a chinese restaurant and i’m planning on taking on another part-time at hobby lobby, starbucks, or so on. i’m a mommy to a 3 year old son. i haven’t started college yet due to expenses and the motherhood life-style, but i feel like it’s finally time to dive back into the pool of education! i’m not even sure what my majors/minors are yet because i want to learn as much as i can, but i can say for sure is i want to involve myself deeply into becoming an artist, writer, medical field person, and business owner.

things i plan to study, or want to study:

business management 

art & art history (specifically oil painting, sculpting, and drawing)

english & grammar

hotorcultural & anything plants (including herbalism, etc.)

lanuages such as sign, latin, korean, japanese, etc.

medical studies

my goals are pretty all over the place, so i like to say my goal is to basically get every knowledge i can obtain the dreams i’ve always wanted since i was small. by 2021, i will graduate with a bach for business, and hopefully pursue a higher degree for business. i also want to obtain some sort of medical degree (i’m not sure yet, but i’m leaning towards neurology/psychology.) i also want to be able to continue my love for art and writing by creating art to be sold and writings that’d turn into novels or book series.

why this blog came to be:

i’ve been using tumblr for YEARS, on the low-key side. i don’t have any blogs that are popular, but i do have a lot. all my blogs have something of kitsunes or my name in it because i’m low-key not creative in usernames. plus most of them are unfinished & full of reblogs.

other than tumblr, my hobbies are:

drawing, sculpting, and oil painting

creative writing and reading

pinterest

creating lists & notes

learning random, interesting things

i havent made a schedule on posting, but i will soon!
