@fauconsauce for this little idea
🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼
Every now and again the neighborhood likes to get together for a sleepover! (Obviously at Home so he can be included)
There's never a dull moment during these sleepovers. They play games, bake many sweets, play dress up, make pillow forts, you name it! Usually there's always a smile on someone's face. Even Frank lets loose and enjoys himself!
During one sleepover though, a certain beagle had a case of the blues. Which is ironic, because he's already blue! Jokes aside, the others quickly caught on to his weird behavior. He didn't want to ruin their fun, so he told them he was fine. They obviously didn't believe that.
Wally gathered the neighbors, minus Barnaby, and together they hatched up a plan to help their dear friend feel better.
Howdy was the one to put the plan into motion. He snuck up behind Barnaby, using his upper pair of hands to restrain Barnaby's arms above his head. After that, all the tickly chaos broke loose.
Sally struck first, going for his armpits. Julie went straight for the kill with the pup's tummy. Frank and Eddie each took a foot. Poppy was fluttering her wings around his neck and ears. Howdy was using his lower pair of hands to knead his hips. And little Wally was drawing shapes on his sides, pretending Barnaby was a canvas.
The neighbors talked amongst themselves, pretending Barnaby wasn't turning into a puddle of giggles under their fingers. His tail was wagging a mile a minute, enjoying the feeling of letting go and laughing freely. He could practically feel the negativity melting away, being replaced by the madding tickles.
After a few minutes, Barnaby's laughter was starting to turn wheezy. That was the lers cue to stop. They let him go, all collapsing against him in a big cuddle pile.
Barnaby certainly felt a hundred times better now. He gave a content sigh, enjoying the warmth of his friends that surrounded him.
This was another successful sleepover.

theory time: Charlie is so chaotic because of the fact she was pretty much ignored by her sibling(s?) (Idk who the other is) and so she's desperate for any attention from them, willing to go to the point of destroying shit just to get that attention, good or bad
I- THATS CORRECT??? Her other sibling is Lee (by @thegenderconfusedpuffball ) who is. Apathetic and just doesn't care according to what I gather.
As a kid, she was left pretty much alone until she started going into school (I HC frank is older than Lee and Her by 3ish years, and her and Lee are twins.) (I also HC Lee was smart enough to start school earlier than 5) so she was left alone without attention. Parents were working, and siblings were at school so she was bored. And at the time, it was sometimes perfectly fine to leave a 4 year old home alone for 8 hours ksjdjd. Yeaj. Didn't even have a babysitter or nanny smh.
She has a really bad case of ADHD, and it's super hard for her to focus. So school sucked for her. But her siblings were really good at school, and because she wanted their attention she tried to be to. The closest thing she ever had to someone that really cared about her was a teacher she had in elementary.
It's sad really. Frank rarely noticed her, always reading something and studying for whatever, and Lee was.. Lee (mostly because idk as much about them) so she was alone. She also was really bad at making friends, and always ended up making enemies.
By the time she was in middle school she had taken a interest in chemical science so she studied that. Still to not avail no one noticed. Besides the people that made fun of her. Don't worry though. She showed them by mixing barium, sodium, and potassium. If you know what that does good for you. But it ended up in her getting in trouble smh. Hey look she's getting attention
Because of how little anyone cared about her and tried to teach her, she only knew school stuff. No common sense, or right vs. wrong, hence why half the time she doesn't realize her explosions are bad just happy little mistakes. Her not knowing right vs wrong also makes it really hard for her to tell if she's like.. in trouble or not. So when her and Frank start arguing, she's thinking it's just a loud convo
She didn't really start being noticed until she was a adult where a company noticed her science and hired her. And it was even later than that when her siblings noticed her.. and even then.
Anyway that enough lore lmao

Are you doing the prompt list for welcome home? If so how about 8 and 20 with lee Wally and Ler Eddie?
"Well, someones grouchy!" Eddie hummed, hands resting on his hips as he looked down at the smaller puppet he'd come across during his rounds sitting cross-legged on the grass. Paint palette and brushes throw aside in a huff and a paint-splattered canvas before him. Wally huffed, crossing his arms across his chest, the yellow puppet avoiding Eddie's gaze. "I am not grouchy." He muttered in his usual cool tone. "Im just...frustrated." The mailman cocked a brow "Oh, so that's why you're sittin' here pouting like a little kid who just got told he couldn't have ice cream for dinner." Wally sent a glare his way. "I am not pouting!" he huffed while pouting. Eddie simply shook his head fondly as he crouched down more to the smaller puppet's height. "Well, what got you so grouchy in the first place huh?" "Im not-!" Wally sighed, shoulders slumping as he gestured vaguely to the canvas in front of him "I just...I just can't get it to look right! I've been at it all morning and nothing I do seems to help it." Eddie's gaze softened as he looked down at the blue-haired painter. "Aw Walls, I'm sure you'll figure it out eventually. You're a great painter! Everyone has off days sometimes!" The yellow puppet said nothing, simply looking towards the ground with a frown that could rival Franks, arms crossed. Eddies' face twisted into a worried frown before his lips curled upwards mischievously. He couldn't let his dear friend go about looking so sad! It just wouldn't do. "Aww. c'mon" He cooed, voice taking on a teasing tilt as he reached out with a large finger to gently poke and prod at Wally's exposed side. "Smile!" The reaction was immediate, the dejected frown on the puppet's face quickly began to curl up into his signature grin, though he tried his best to fight it. Squirming about and making blind attempts to push at Eddie's poking fingers. "H-Hehey! Cut that out!" "No can do friend!" Eddie chirped, grinning widely. "Can't stop till we find that smile of yours! Now I know it's in here somewhere..." The mailman trailed off as he now used both hands to poke and prod and wiggle his fingers into any spot he could reach, all the while Wally fought against the laughter bubbling up in his chest, taking to curling up on the ground in an attempt to shield himself from his friend's playful attack. "Come on, where is that smile? I know it's in here somewhere! Is it here? Orrrr here? Or maybe it's...here!" The puppet found an opening to shove his wiggling fingers underneath the yellow-skinned painter's arms.
The reaction was instant, the smaller puppet immediately clamped both his arms down tight to his side, a wide smile finally taking over his face and he squealed and burst into wild giggly laughter. Eddie cheered. "Haha! There it is! I knew we'd find it!" Wally snorted softly as he frantically kicked out his legs, rolling back and forth on the ground lost in his mirth. His cheeks aching from how wide his smile has become.
"N-Nohohohoho! Eddie! C-Cut it out!" "Hm? Cut what out Walls? I'm not doing anything! You're the ones who got my hands all trapped! " to prove his point he wiggled his fingers slightly causing Wally to let out a giggly squeak. "I am really happy to see you smiling again! I much prefer this happy Wally over that grouchy Wally! Wouldn't you agree?" "Eddiehehehe!" "That's my name giggles!" If the painter's face could get any redder it certainly did, after a few more moments of squirming around lost in laughter Wally finally threw in the towel. "Okay! Okayheheh! I-hehe! I gihihihive!" "You feeling better?" Eddie hummed, giving the puppet's side a gentle tweak causing him to squeak. "Yehehes! I do!" "Great!" The mailman chirped, instantly pulling his hands away and leaving poor Wally as a curled-up ball of giggles, after a moment the puppet uncurled himself and sat up red-faced and disheveled. And, most importantly, with a big smile on his face. Eddie beamed. "There! See! I knew we'd find that smile of yours!" Wally let out a low groan, covering his red face with his hands though he still smiled past his fingers. "Did you have to go about it like...that?" "It worked didn't it?" Wally peeked past his fingers to look at his still discarded canvas, and though he would never admit it, he was feeling a lot better. And a lot more inspired. "Yeah..." He gave Eddie a more genuine smile "It did."

I'm trying to get into comics, any recommendations?
I'm a DC girl so this list is gonna be very DC heavy, sorry.
DC
All-Star Superman by Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely: The book that made me a Superman fan. Beautiful, joyful, self-contained story.
The Flash by Mark Waid: Will make you a Flash fan. Some of the first comics I ever read come from this run. The original run is collected in omnibus format but Mark had a second, shorter run from around 98-2000 that wrapped up a lot of loose ends, and another one around 2008. Those are good too.
The New Teen Titans by Marv Wolfman and George Perez: This book probably saved DC, and it's a wonderful read.
Batman by Scott Snyder: One of the best modern Batman runs, although it suffers from the stink of the New 52 at times.
52 by Mark Waid, Greg Rucka, Grant Morrison, Geoff Johns, and Keith Giffen: Might need some onboarding for this one but it's a great read focusing on some of the second-string characters in the DCU and a triumph of collaborative storytelling. Its spinoff Booster Gold series is great too.
Kingdom Come by Mark Waid and Alex Ross: A surprisingly-accessible refutation of the 1990s trend towards darker and edgier superheroes, it's a must-read for the beautiful painted artwork alone.
Mister Miracle and Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, both by Tom King: Tom King's had some big misses, especially Heroes in Crisis, for which as a Wally West fan I should want his blood. He makes up for it when he hits, though. These two titles are his best work.
Secret Six by Gail Simone: A great off-beat title revolving around a small group of supervillains trying to do good. Wish they'd bring this concept back tbh.
DC: The New Frontier by Darwyn Cooke: A love letter to the Silver Age of Comics with gorgeous artwork. Was later adapted into an animated film, which is also very good.
Dwayne McDuffie's original Milestone Comics (incl. Icon, Hardware, and Static), are all very good titles focusing specifically on Black heroes. McDuffie also had a great run on Justice League of America from 2007 to 2009.
Justice League International by Keith Giffen, J. M. DeMatteis, and Kevin Maguire: A great and hilarious book that offers a much more lighthearted take on the DC Universe. There's a lot of focus on more obscure and minor characters which I always enjoy.
Doom Patrol by Grant Morrison and Rachel Pollock: If you've seen the TV show, it cribs heavily from this. A lovely series featuring a group of misfits trying to find their way in the world.
Jack Kirby's Fourth World: Brilliant, esoteric, at times close to incomprehensible. A must-read.
The Question by Dennis O'Neil: A wonderfully cerebral and philosophical series. Denny left reading recs in every issue! See also his run on Green Lantern/Green Arrow, which is a bit outdated but still electrifyingly political for its time, and his seminal run on the Batman titles.
Marvel
Uncanny X-Men by Chris Claremont: One of the greatest comic book runs of all time. Largely defined the X-Men for several generations basically until the Krakoa era. Most X-Men stories on the "greatest of all time" list come from this run.
Vision by Tom King: Hey, it's Tom King again! He wrote for Marvel too. This one's a really good character piece featuring a character who often doesn't get to stand on his own.
Daredevil by Mark Waid: The best Daredevil run, hands down.
The Amazing Spider-Man by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko: The original Spider-Man run is still my favorite. Some great Silver Age nonsense combined with great character drama is what put Marvel on the map, and it's on full display here.
Runaways by Brian K. Vaughan and Adrian Alphona: A really good series that's mostly self-contained about a bunch of kids who run away from home after discovering that their parents are supervillains.
Fantastic Four by Mark Waid and Mike Wieringo: I sing Waid's praises a lot, but damn can he write. The best run for Marvel's First Family.
Others
Bone by Jeff Smith: An epic fantasy adventure starring three cartoon funny animal characters. My favorite comic of all time.
Usagi Yojimbo by Stan Sakai: Another epic starring funny animals, this time set in the Edo period of Japan. Mostly episodic, so it's really easy to jump into.
Astro City by Kurt Buseik: Another love letter to the Silver Age, and to superheroes in general. Essential reading.
