I was just thinking about how I would shuffle around Lee Jiyeon's discography to make her albums more cohesive because

a) the first album has wayyyy too many ballads for her to be a pop girl, espcially since 난 사랑을... is the smash hit of that album. It has the feelings of this really innocent, pure and raw feelings of first love

b) same to the second one but at least a few ballads are good, it needed way more variation.

c) the third album is pefectly balanced but should have come out as her debut album given the cute and energetic concept

d) her 4th album LITERALLY has a song run of CITY POP GOLD and yet she didn't release ANY of those as singles. Plus I feel like it was more of a "new direction" than an album of closure.

I'm overthinking again but fuck it I'm freaking out again because I noticed something about the previews and trailers!

It's that in all of these different scenes, Jang Uk is wearing the exact same outfit.

In the preview for ep 5 we see him wearing that light grey hanbok with flowy black outer robes when Bu-yeon does their one-of-a-kind ring and it looks like Jang Uk is realizing something. He recognizes what she's doing! She keeps doing things that reming him of Cho Yeong and it can't keep being a coincidence. It can't be that she's just that good of a priestess. Like hello the last "Bu-yeon" Jin Ho-gyeong brought was a fake. Something is up.

We also see him wearing it when he was talking to Master Lee saying the line that Jang Uk took what Jin Ho-gyeong tried so hard to hide. And Jang Uk's face as he's walking away looks kinda foreboding too.

And then! I remembered in one of the trailers that he's also wearing those robes when he stormed Cheonbugwan and raised his sword at the Crown Prince.

I'm worried because I feel like it's all connected 😭. I think Jang Uk is starting to suspect that Bu-yeon is really Cho Yeong/Naksu. Then Master Lee spills the beans about what happened.

Naturally, I'm fucking worried for my fave lol and I don't want him to die. The only thing that's calming me at least is that there have been other pictures posted with him in other places like in the big Cheonbugwan fight and inside its secret room.

Which means Go Won lives after Jang Uk threatens him. Either Jang Uk drops his sword or he just injures him.

There's also that last picture where it's Jang Uk and Go Won facing each other inside Go Won's room (or at least, I think it's his room. The windows/curtains look similar to other scenes that were held in his room.) which we haven't seen yet in the 4 eps that have aired.

So we get the part where Jang Uk storms Cheonbugwan. He is going to kill Jin Mu and he will mow down anyone who tries to stop him. And Jang Uk and Go Won face down on that big center platform where Jang Uk once announced that he and Bu-yeon were married.

I think the other clothes are a hint too. Like with the Crown Prince I've noticed that when he's inside the palace, he only wears a specific outer robes that is only worn by a Crown Prince (just like I've seen in other K-dramas). The dark blue one with gold circular symbols on them.

And in this picture with the team inside the Cheonbugwan secret room, he had something else on. It's a more vibrant blue with no gold designs. It could be like those robes that he wears when he goes out of the palace. Like is that a clue? Does it mean Go Won didn't come to the secret room from the palace for that big fight? Am I overthinking again? Yes, unfortunately.

He's also wearing the same thing in the pic the actress playing Jin Ho-gyeong posted with him and Dang-gu. It's the same for the rest of them. You can even see Sang-ho fighting next to Yul with the Cheonbugwan banners overhead. And I noticed someone with Jin Ho-gyeong's robes at the bottom middle of the screen, behing some Cheonbugwan guards, that's facing them.

I think these pics are from a big climatic near the end of the series and it's gonna be between Jin Mu/Cheonbugwan and Jin Ho-gyeong vs Jang Uk, Yul, and Songrim. Idk which side the Crown Prince is gonna be in but I'm desperately hoping he'll see the light and be on Jang Uk's side.

🌊 What moment makes you want to walk into the ocean? I've already given an answer to this question here. But here is another moment that I am crazy over: Ji Hoon going to work the day they find out Min Jeong has gone missing/died.

It's pretty clear that Ji Hoon has feelings for Min Jeong. We never find out the true extent of those feelings, but the fact that he has a nervous breakdown (of sorts) at her funeral, and Dong Sik is worried for Ji Hoon's mental health in episode 5 (hinting that Ji Hoon suffers from depression and agoraphobia) shows whatever he felt for her was a deep emotion. Yet, he still goes to work and answers the phones (I can't imagine the number of phone calls he had from people panicking and wanting to know information about Min Jeong's disappearance, just further rubbing salt in a fresh wound😭). He's fucking crying at the front desk! But he still does his job, despite the shock, the trauma, the grief!!! I... 😭

😂 What’s your favourite Han Joo Won quirk? Already answered here, here, here. I really like Joo Won, which I know is pretty obvious at this point and I think it's interesting (and honestly, really lovely) that people want to know my opinions of him! He's definitely the character I get asked about the most. Anyway, one thing that I really love about Joo Won is that he needs time to process information. For me, this is a part of his neurodivergent coding (I know we've discussed this already) and is something I really relate to. It's kind of rare (from what I've seen, at least) to see a pov character that gets easily overwhelmed by a bombardment of information and has to take time to let the information sit with them before coming to a conclusion.

It's one of the reasons his arguments with Dong Sik don't go his way; Dong Sik is able to recite a myriad of points off the top of his head but once he's said them, he kind of forgets (which is very normal for most people). When Joo Won is on the receiving end of this, he tends to shut down, and needs time to collect himself. But he still takes the information in and remembers it, which leads to numerous occasions where he recites something Dong Sik has said back to him, word for word.

I love that! I think it's such an interesting personality trait and it works so well against Dong Sik's personality. They process information in different ways, and their differences complement one another.

👀 What would you like to see if they did a season 2? Okay, I have thoughts on this. I think that there is room for a season 2 but I don't think it's necessary to do.

I will prefix this by saying that I may be forgetting a big bit of information that will prevent this point from becoming reality. I don't have the best memory, so I admit that I could be forgetting something. I personally believe that Han Ki Hwan has very good grounds for appeal (just on Yu Yeon's murder. The other crimes?? There's probably a long paper trail, and Lee Chang Jin and Do Hae Won's testimonies that would put him away for a long time), as there isn't any physical evidence of the hit and run. Other than Lee Chang Jin and Do Hae Won, the only piece of damning evidence (that I can remember) is his confession... which was obtained legally, therefore, we can presume his legal team will have it dismissed from the trial.

So, his appeal process could be something they focus on. However, I don't really want to watch that, as there's not a lot of story there.

What I would want is a mini-series, or perhaps, a movie of sorts where we get an update on the characters' lives. It doesn't really matter to me how far into the future it is, I just want to see Dong Sik heal and move on, Joo Won get closure and finally find a family that loves and accepts him, Jae Yi finding a life outside of her mother's butcher shop, Ji Hwa getting the respect she deserves, Ji Hoon growing into himself, Joo Won and Hyuk working on their relationship, Jung Je and Dong Sik m a y b e working on their relationship, and of course, jwds.... being an actual couple.

It would be so sweet to see them slowly becoming a part of each other's lives, getting to know one another outside of the death and trauma, and just having that same intensity but the tension can't be disguised and dismissed as "it's the situation", y'know?

I want to see jwds sitting together on a sofa after having dinner, trying to figure out what their new dynamic is going to be. Them stumbling their way through the healing process together, learning together, understanding that it's okay to want and how to be quiet and to just b r e a t h e.

I want to see Manyang in the summer. I want BBQs at the lake house. Christmas jumpers. Busan weekends. Manyang nights. I want New Years' Eve kisses and hugs and drunken laughter. I want misunderstandings and mistakes and grief and showcasing that the process of healing is a fucking long one and looks different for everyone. I want Joo Won's grief to manifest in odd ways (sweet and sad ways). I want to see Dong Sik feel comfortable with being honest. But most importantly, I want all of them happy. (minus the obvious handful) (But I don't think we'll ever get that. The story is so complete without it, and I don't think they'll be able to tell the next steps without addressing the queerness👀 so, yeahhhhhh)

Anyway, yes, thank you again! I sure did ramble on for a long time, so I'm going to shut up and let you get on with your night/day 😂

—why did you choose those names?

i chose names somewhat relating to the boys, if not then it's something that relates to the mother.

bada lee [daughter]- bada means ocean. mark mentioned that his favourite colour was blue and specifically the shade of the ocean.

renjun huang

narae ahn [love interest]- narae means wing, and it just gives me renjun vibes.

moon huang [son]- moon because it reminds me of moomin which renjun likes.

—how did you choose their careers?

i thought to make their jobs be something that they would've been if they weren't idols, which also inspired me to make this series. or i choose something else because i couldn't find out what they wanted to be and or depending on the plot of my ideas. for the girls though- they were chosen for the purpose of the plot!

—why did you choose them?

mark - author, because he mentioned that if he weren't an idol, he'd want to be an author.

renjun - artist, because he does/likes art. and he also mentioned that if he weren't an idol, he'd want to do something related to art.

jeno - architect, because i could swear i saw somewhere that that's what he want to be. also had to choose it for the sake of his story. but fun fact! i was about to make jeno a firefighter bcos well...yk...this idea was from the fact that he wanted to be a fireTRUCK. + i do know that he would've wanted to be a car designer.

haechan - pro gamer, because i love the concept of him playing games + for the purpose of the plot! also what he's mentioned that he wanted to be was something related to music and dancing, which is vague. and also heard somewhere that he wanted to be a mystery shopper? and i have no clue what even???

jaemin - surgeon, a pediatrician in specific. he's mentioned multiple times that he wanted to be a surgeon! which i love, also was my dream job as a child and made him a peds doctor becuase well this is a dad au and also jaemin and kids?!?!

chenle - ceo, couldn't find anything of what chenle said he wanted to be, so i made him ceo becuase well we all know that he's really well off. and well president chenle :p

—what inspired you to start this series?

i love the concept of the dreamies being dads and also i was inspired by @bts-reveries because she did something like this where it was a dad au and it was all connected! which i loved and miss, but wanted one with nct dream, but there's none and so i decided to make it myself!

—what inspired you for the stories?

at first i didn't really think about it and tbh just started planning the names or what not and tried to connect them somehow and also just randomly thinking, as well as getting ideas from my cousin, and taking other plots i see in a movie, show, or something i read etc.

—where do you get inspo from?

with the whole dreamies being a dad thing, the interacts and such are inspired from the korean reality show "the return of superman!" it's basically a show where celebrities who are fathers, show their daily life with their kid(s)! without the presence of the mothers.

—how did you choose the titles?

based on the rough plot i created for each story, i tried to base it off a nct dream songs from their recent album. so for example, taking my plot, i tried to find a song from their album "hello future" that relates to the plot somehow, and i took a line, for eg. because i met you, is a line in hello future. fall into your arms, is a line in dive into you!
