If we could have some legacyverse hc’s about Monstrosity, I’m sure everyone here would enjoy it

(I personally think that the old fire master was either one way before the FSM, or it was Kai’s grandfather who died when Ray was a baby)

Before we dig into anything about the old Fire Master, we gotta remember:

The Land of Monsters was the Realm of Monsters before The Merge, meaning...it was its own realm

It's highly unlikely that (at least in legacyverse) a Fire Master that would have also been a direct relative of Kai would have been in and/or another Realm, especially if they themselves were descended from the First EM of Fire that the FSM gave powers to (though not impossible). Whether they lived in a village in the realm of Monster before Monsters ran rampant and destroyed everything, OR if he went there specifically to investigate the people that disappeared within that specific realm remains to be seen.

We don't know how long ago that guy was turned into a centipede, but it was definitely presumably before The Merge, and also long enough to become massive enough to include several other multiple people, which also makes the 'Kai's Grandpa' theory a little wonky (but I've also seen varying theories of how the human centipede works so your mileage may vary there).

And in the event that it was somehow ~Kai's Grandpa~, he wouldn't be venturing off to another realm with a baby on the way/a newly born child especially when that meant his powers would be gone and/or started weakening, but I don't know this guy, maybe he was like Kai and thought it was worth the gamble lmao

It could be a Wyldfyre situation and this guy just had an element similar to Fire that wasn't actually Fire maybe some other element derived from Motion I GUESS which would ironically circimuvent a lot of issues

Anyway I'm not against Kai being a descendant of this guy, but the idea of him being one before the FSM got involved with anything is fascinating. Although that also brings in the implication that Rusty and Daidan are EXTREMELY OLD (as Daidan makes a comment that indicates she knew Rusty from when he was still active with his old master). Not impossible, but...improbable.

So who knows?

But otherwise uhhh I don't think Monstrosity really has any large impact on any Legacyverse specific-changes? Other than Kai's eyes dulling from exhaustion/the mental toll of it all and him doing the spider-man thing when he realizes Jesse's got the same thing going on lmao. And it does feed into my thoughts for Kai and Cam's dynamic if i ever finish that DR!Jesse story I'm writing that I'm not writing ('it's not weak to spare children' waaaaaaaah)

(...though I can see Nya catching onto him becoming a little extra hesitant around water again and a little extra clingy when it comes to Lloyd and a little extra miffed when he learns Cole was dropped into a strange dangerous land too but was totally fine and a little bit jealous when Zane got to wake up like nothing happened at all and wondering why in the world Jay suddenly shared in his taste in hobo fashion–)

Time has four powers. If space is a perfect balanced counter, an equal opposite, what are its four powers?

I’m having a hard time thinking of a concrete answer to this, but the best way I can explain my vision is that while space is an oppositional counterpart to time, it doesn’t function on the same 4-way split as time does. Both elements come together to create the fabric of the universe, but time is more rigid in its structure while space is allowed some fluidity.

In terms of powers, how they manifest changes a little from EM to EM. For Jamie, his main abilities are ripping portals or “rifts” in the fabric of the universe that lead to a liminal, in-between space where he can store things, and from inside can rip more rifts to effectively “teleport.” A passive ability of his is being able to acutely sense the space around him, meaning he is intimately aware of his surroundings (which can be overwhelming at times!). Another major ability is the passive existence of “heartstrings,” which is a manifestation of the physical and emotional space between the people he cares about and himself.

The black hole ability is something @weekend-whip and I are still workshopping, but I guess you could count that as a “fourth” ability?

LegacyVerse Fan-Cover!

I had this thought for a bit but I wanted to make comic covers for all the Chapters in the Legacyverse both because I like the universe and I want to practice stuff like this (backgroungs, settings, an entire scene)!

I don't own the characters as they're from the series Nijago. The Legacyverse belongs to @weekend-whip I only own the fanmade designs and the art, they own the entire concept.

It will be inevitable that harumi strikes back one day and demands a payback from jesse for abandoning her and her family in her time of need so I drew this. Decided to make the flames pink like color because of speculations I have

A fanart for chapter 17 of book 2 where olivia gave nya the option to tell her lloyds whereabouts (and subsequently betray him) should she find him. Decided to experiment a little and make them stand in water

Prophecy

Very similar to my first fanart but this time with the familiar hands of his family who each took it upon their own hands to decide what's best for lloyd

At a Party who of the Ninja would be extroverted and who would stay in a corner not socializing? Who'd be a party animal and who the shy one who stays next to the one in the corner?

Kai: Absolute party animal, no holding back, slips onto the scene as easily as slipping on a coat, generates that good party energy and is usually the one that really gets things started (...unless he's in a sour mood for whatever reason)

Jay: Shuffles around awkwardly and quietly until he finds His Crowd and does an entire 180, turning into the life of the party (and will probably be embarrassed about it by tomorrow, but it's still a confidence booster)

Cole: Somewhat neutral, doesn't go overboard nor crazy but does try to encourage some of the wallflowers into letting loose a bit. More focused on making sure others are having a good time rather than himself (but winds up having a good time in the process anyway)

Zane: At least attempts to mingle but struggles to find his people; likes to stand in the corner so he can a view of the whole room at once (he also just likes people-watching anyway). Isn't afraid to get a little loose if/when invited, but just wouldn't initiate for himself

Nya: Might take a little bit of coaxing to get her going (she likes to test the waters first), but once she's going she's here for a good time for a long time. Amasses a following by the end of the night, and goes buck wild when Her Song comes on—no Nya, get off the table—

Lloyd: The anti-social wallflower. Hangs by the snack table. And the exit. Talks to the potted plant. Too much is happening. Constantly checking the clock to see if its appropriate to leave (it's hardly been half an hour). Trying to get his mom to pick him up early. Might jump out the window.
