Weaponizing One’s Love: The Long Awaited Date

Chapter Summary: With the drama from Lillian and Lex's antics having subsided, Lena and Kara finally have to face the issues brought up by the chaos. Lena rejects the gift the Kryptonian had given her months ago, stating that she doesn't deserve it. Kara is left reeling, feeling that her superheroine identity may cost her the one thing she wants most. And after some last-minute intrusions, thanks to Lillian meddling with Kara's boss, forcing her to interview the youngest Luthor about the attack, they have their date. Unfortunately, it doesn't go as smoothly as planned. Kara listens to Lena about working with kryptonite. And with some hesitation, agrees to let her work with it. If only to avoid the claustrophobic suit. But just as things settle down, Lena discovers that the Kryptonian kept her suit on, setting her into defensive mode. And with her walls going up, Kara begs her to let her in and show her what she sees.

It’s hard to believe how far Lena Kerian Luthor has come in the seasons she was present (Season 2 to now.)

This could just be all Katie, but she almost acts like a totally different person from the first meeting in 2x01 to 5x19.

At first she was cold, distant, and had a set view that we were supposed to see her as. (Lex’ sister.) Now you can see how far she’s come in terms of her image, and her all around outwardly good character. As Kara says, she has a beautiful soul. The funny thing is that for what I believe, Lena is probably one - if not best character (apart from Kara) that the Supergirl writers have created.

This is my first post actually, since I usually don’t voice my opinions, but with all the Supercorp drama, I wanted to add some light - which is Lena Luthor.

Chapter Summary: With tensions at an all-time high, Lena and the Superfriends rush to solve her dilemma. Meanwhile, Kara busies herself with duties as Supergirl, encountering a familiar face in doing so. But the youngest Luthor's choice to blow off a planned lunch and hide her condition causes a rift, and it worsens when she begins pushing the Kryptonian away, walling herself in as her insecurities overwhelm her. Thankfully, things go well, and the situation is defused, only for Lillian Luthor to show up and throw salt into the barely healed wound. And in the heat of the moment, Lena brings up the sensitive subject of kryptonite and her desire to work with it again, but Kara cuts her off, not bothering to hear her out. Wounded, Lena retreats, and the Kryptonian, realizing what she did, tries to ease the pain, hoping to get Lena to agree to keep their date. Reluctant and still insecure, Lena agrees.
