Have you ever had lengua??? 🤤🤤🤤 is soooo soft and tender , it practically melts and the flavor is so delicious! My friend gave me the best lengua yesterday! Normally I would’ve had tacos but since I’m trying to eat healthier I made lettuce wraps instead. I admit it wasn’t exactly the same but the meat was sooo awesome! Constantly craving this place. Went with a few friends while down in DC - @lapuertaverdedc (translated as “The Green Door”) is WHERE IT’S AT. 👈🏼 soooo many tacos! 😋🌮 $3 tacos on happy hour. @jschwat8 and I had found a couple of food spots we wanted to try out...and immediately bailed ship when a friend of a friend suggested @elpavorealnola . Hand made corn tortillas, hand made margarita mix and taco Tuesday! We each mowed down a lengua taco(which melted in your mouth), the pickled onions were delicious and you know a joint is good if they also create the tastiest veggie taco I’ve ever happily devoured! Excellent eats tonight! These meats were previously cooked so I warmed them up in 8 inch Lodge Cast Iron skillets on the large Big Green Egg for about 15 min at 350. Here at #tacoazteca in #glendale . At $8.75 this is one pricey #burrito for the east side of #LA but this #slowcooked #cabeza with crema is ridiculously succulent and #savory. Loaded, and with just the right amount of collageny #mouthfeel for the fix without the grease - one of the best I've had. Moving clockwise, this also goes for the #lenguataco. $2.75 is a lot for a #taco out here but this slow cooked #lengua is #flavorful , #tender , and #chunky . The #alpastor is saucy but not #smoky like I like it, still good though. The #salsas are a prize, and you know this because they pack it for you so you don't go filling a jar's worth at the bar. The #rojo is especially smoky. The #verde is bright and fresh. Also the radishes here are exceptionally juicy and crisp for some reason 🤷‍♂️.
