On this day, 20 years ago, the RJ episodes, “The Yogmans Strike Back” and “Hookie 101”, premiered at 11:00pm, on the 4th night of the new “Fridays”
Fun stuff below! Click “keep reading” to view!
A couple of cels from “Hookie 101”. This is one of four episodes to have had cels sold

I’ve shared this before, but rare “Hookie 101” cel with sketch underneath. Only cel to be sold like so, and check out the camera angle notes too! Even cartoons abide by those rules/angles as well! (Source WorthPoint)

If some characters from ‘Whatever Happened to Robot Jones?’ had tumblr
Robot Jones: Has a really nicely organized blog with his own added touches, including elements from his interests. He posts nerdy facts and little status updates on his life, and reblogs things such as moodboards and posts like and from ‘shower thoughts’ regularly. He also commonly reblogs his friend’s posts, and always adds his input either in the text box or in the tags. His bio is kinda cluttered with emojis and uses fancy fonts.
Cubey: The only reason he even has a Tumblr is due to getting involved in drama on his Discord server. He made his blog originally to make callout posts for a few people, but then started reblogging bad memes and shitposts. He doesn’t have a theme for his blog, and some outdated meme for a profile picture. He also never uses the tags. No bio.
Mitch: Uses the default theme, but tries to personalize it a bit. Uses tags very rarely and doesn’t post anything of his own. Like Cubey, he reblogs a lot of shitposts. Not really anything serious though. The bio is simple as he just lists his name and maybe a few of his interests.
Socks: Doesn’t really know what’s happening on this hellsite. He only made an account because his friends did. Spent a ton of time making a really nice and intricate blog and bio, but barely uses it. Likes posts but uncommonly reblogs. The one time he posts something original it’s just some cryptic meme that gets over 1,000 notes for some reason.
Shannon: Basic layout on her blog. She uses a Picrew version of herself for the profile picture. Uses the tags a lot, and usually just reblogs from her friends. Posts her art sometimes and creates moodboards (which RJ then reblogs). She ends up blocking RJ and he makes a vent post on his own tumblr.
Denny and Lenny: Lenny mainly uses the account, but sometimes Denny does stuff with it. Like to reblog and create posts with outlandish opinions to create discourse in different fandoms. They also spam the inboxes of some people.

Hey all! I wanted to start a thread on here, so I could interact more with my followers! I thought, “why not start a thread on unpopular and/or underrated Robot Jones opinions you have?!”
It can be about the characters, the show itself, the 2 seasons, or episodes of the series! Whatever you want!
I’ll go first!  As a fan of the show, one of the things I find that people don’t talk much about is the transitions and camera angles. In my opinion, I think this show has some pretty good, and cool, camera angles and transitions from one scene to another. An example of this that pops into my head is a scene from “The Yogman’s Strike Back”. It’s the scene where The Yogman Twins are chasing Robot, and Lenny is about to spit a huge spit ball at Robot. Instead of just filming from Lenny and Denny on the AV cart from the side, the camera angle was actually inside the straw that Lenny was about to blow into. Now how cool is that?! I also think the way certain scenes are put together are quite nice too. For example, I thought that scene in “Gender”, where Robot helps out the home ec. class, but instead of doing a traditional time lapse, it was broken down into slices of pie, was very cool, and original! I don’t think there was anything like that done before that particular episode aired. Kudos to the storyboard artists and animators for making that happen! I loved it! It was great!
I’m interested in hearing your unpopular/underrated opinions, so please don’t hesitate to reblog this and add yours!
