#I’m about to graduate college#less than a month#and if one more person asks me if I’m fucking excited I’m going to lose my shit#like I am thrilled to not be in school anymore. will not miss it.#am I excited for the future???#respectfully. why the fuck would I be#we’re in a massive economic crisis that’s getting worse#under a government that absolutely would love to see me dead#I have a summer job lined up that’s a great gig but after that?#I work in theatre. I have some contacts I can probably get a job after the summer#but it won’t pay enough to live#the idea of living with roommates makes me have a panic attack if I think about it too long#but studio apartments in the cities I can get the most work in are around $2000 a month at the LEAST#(made a further issue by me having a cat)#and a lot of the jobs I can get…. will not pay enough for that.#I could move back home but my mother and I would drive one another absolutely insane#so that’s not really a long term or short term plan#aside from finances and the world being on fire#I’m absolutely shit at making friends. I have a few who I cherish but I’m going to be moving to a new city where I don’t know anyone#and I will not be able to make friends. just being realistic with that. it’s unlikely.#and in between asking me if I’m excited everyone keeps reminding me how awful it’s going to be. like thanks! I am aware! I am not stupid!#so no.#no I am not FUCKING EXCITED to go ‘be a real adult’#and anyone else who asks me that can fuck right off#I am exhausted and at the constant edge of panic
