what is this about a golden rewrite i see hm?

So I'm working on a fic in that universe for feysand month. Here it the premise, so you know what we're working with.

Dad Archeron (our bad guy AGAIN) has locked his daughters in a tower. They are STARVING because whoops, turns out you need to feed your children. Elain has been charming a local fisherman for help while Feyre and Nesta have figured out how to get out through the door. They're planning to steal a boat and sail away when winter is over.

Dad comes and is like, actually Nesta, my least favorite daughter, is going to a convent because I don't trust women to rule and I don't trust Nesta to obey a husband. And Elain will marry Graysen because she does what shes told. And Feyre is like...and me? And he's like, oh my god, I forgot about you. LOL.

So theyre like, okay fuck it, we'll leave NOW. But evil eastern king of velaris rhysand followed their dad and interrupts. Someone has to stay behind and hold him off. Feyre doesn't tell Nesta and Elain she's gonna do this...she just does. And rhys is like, fuck- i need all three of them. Sends Cassian after nesta and elain on the assumption they won't get far, takes Feyre back to velaris so he won't get caught kidnapping another kings daughters

rhys is like- i'm gonna ransom her for all that land her dad stole from me and feyre is like, GOOD LUCK. and rhys is genuinely disturbed by how like...awful archeron is.

anyway in the background, Elain and Nesta get caught in a storm and are separated. Elain, predictably, washes up on Lucien Vanserra's shores and is like, please dont send me back. Feyre was kidnapped. can you help reunite us so we can run away? and Helion is like MAYBE. also dont ruin my sons engagement by being unspeakably hot. And elain is like, oh your son? that shirtless dude who rescued me? Of course I would never, say, let him chase me down on a horse to confess his undying love

and background background cassian finds nesta and is like, you know what would be like, SO HOT? if you let me help you raise an army and take your fathers throne. and nesta is like who are you? and cassian LIES and says his name is Massian, and he's just a normal dude and definitely not general of the east.

ANYWAY i have been writing the feysand part of this and i just needed to get elucien out of my system because i love them. its a lot more slow burn than before. Lucien is all like, no I must do my DUTY and elain is like LOL LAME.

Damn I've tried to send this 3 times and tumblr's eaten every one. I LOVE the birthday story... oh my heart! I cannot wait to read it. It hurts so goooooood....

In the first 3 tries I wanted to ask your opinion on my plot of a 23K opus that is only half done (!!) where Stede's heart is broken because Ed still sails with Izzy after AoG. Would you be willing to do that if I can get it to you? No worries if not!! I'm a magazine editor by trade so I have very thick skin.
