Bum hates that he’s been at Sangwoo’s mercy all this time. It means he has literally no say in where the other man takes him, and … right now, it means he has no real idea exactly where he is. The two were on a plane for a while, then in a car, then they stopped at a hotel. When Bum woke up this morning, Sangwoo was gone. No note. No call from the front desk with a message. Sangwoo took Bum’s phone a while ago “ so you don’t get yourself into any trouble, huh ? ”, so he can’t even text or call his captor.

The room wasn’t locked. Even as Bum went about his morning routine, Sangwoo never showed up. So at some point, Bum remembers he simply left his room key on the nightstand, grabbed his single bag of luggage, and just … STARTED RUNNING. Eventually he slowed down, and now, he doesn’t know where he is. He has no clue what country or city this is or where Sangwoo has taken him or what might have happened if the other man came back while he was trying to leave.

All he knows is that he ran and walked for a long time, and that now, he’s exhausted. He’s not in the best shape in the first place, underweight and sickly with multiple mental health issues, so it’s really no surprise that he finally collapses against the side of a building. His legs practically give out, shaking beneath him, but a single string of thoughts keep his mind from exiting panic mode : Sangwoo’s probably looking for you. He might be right behind you, for all you know. Do you really want him to find you ?

So he raises a hand and beats weakly on what he thinks is this building’s door. He thinks he’s panting loud enough for anyone on the inside to hear ; he decides to attempt speaking anyway. “ Is … is anyone in there ? H-help me … please … please, I-I need help … PLEASE … ”

I just got stung by a wasp for the first time ever AND it was in the middle of my scalp AND I was supposed to get my hair done on Wednesday and I'm PISSED.

It doesn't hurt all that bad (so far?), maybe because I'm a chronic migraine experiencer and deal with a lot more all the time, but LETMETELLYOU, the panic attack of "AMIGONNADIE???" when I called my dad, trying not to cry, was...you know. Not fun for sure.

The four of them keep walking, Blane holding her camera and Lavender holding a small, plastic enclosure with air holes in the side.

“I don’t get why you had to bring the moth.” Markus stated, walking as far from the seven year old as he could. He was definitely the strongest of the group, but he hated bugs. With a burning passion.

“Cleopatra gets lonely! It’s not my fault. And anyway, she likes to explore.” Lavender retorts back, lifting the box up to her face as the cecropia moth emerged from the foliage in her environment, smiling brightly with her tooth gap.

“Cmon guys, we need to find something. I wanna write a good story on something none of the others will know about, so we gotta keep go..ing..” Blane stopped, looking at the large, deep crack in the earths surface. “Woah..”

The others run over, crouching down to peak over the edge, looking into the inky black abyss below. “Woah..incredible.!” Harvey murmurs, his eyes glinting in fascination. “This’ll be perfect for my story!! Think about it- crack in earths surface brings trouble for proje- woah- uh-” Blane doesn’t even get to finish her sentence as the ground rumbles below them. “Is that supposed to-” she’s cut off again as the ledge they we’re standing on breaks off, tossing them all into the pit. And they scream. They all scream as they hurtle towards the ground, if there even is a ground. They cry out in pure horror as the air rushes around them, Harvey clinging to Blane’s arm and Michael holding onto lavender in a protective grip whose holding onto the box containing cleopatra. And then it gets warmer..and warmer..and warmer..until.

They hit the ground.

They didn’t die of course, just had the wind knocked out of their lungs for a moment as they grappled with the fact they were stuck underground with no way of calling the others. No way of seeing in the dark

And no way of knowing they had woken up the allied master-computer. The adaptive manipulator. The aggressive menace. From its sort of hibernation.

They had woken up AM.
