Me stroking my chin at the @wonderbly event listening to @papa_pukka @susiejverrill and the writer of all the wonderbly books! Discussions that are close to my heart about kids creativity and the ability to find the time to do it! Their itineraries are jam packed these days, with school, clubs, places to go, screens to watch and homework!!!! We have to fight for their space to play!!!!! Let them be and let them be get bored, it’s probably the biggest gift we can give them in this ever suffocating world and tax on creativity!!!!! Albert Einstein famously said “the true sign of intelligence is not knowledge but creativity” We and our education system should be nurturing this .... but unfortunately the system seems to value spelling and maths more! So I therefore believe it’s our job then as parents to help preserve the creativity bit!
