Just Pet Store Things #25
So, I was feeding snakes in one of our back rooms one day when a customer comes to the door.
"My dog made a mess," she tells me. Okay, I appreciate her telling me instead of just leaving the mess, and I tell her it's okay and I hand her some paper towels and spray to clean up the mess. About two minutes later I go to clean the snakes habitats while they eat and another customer stops me and tells me that the first customers dog made a mess. I poke my head around the corner and see shes used up almost all the paper towels, so I bring her a whole roll and apologize for not giving her enough the first time. "This is a joke," I hear her mumble as I walk away.
After feeding the snakes, I walk past the aisle again and see one of my managers cleaning up. Apparently the joke was having her clean up after her dog and she had taken it upon herself to put the entire roll of paper towels into the puddle AND complain about me to another manager.

My Math Hybrid Class Review for MAT.1592
I will start this review of this Hybrid course, by mentioning that to me, first of the description is misleading and since the class is run in a completely different manner than other Math 115 sections, it should also be advertised as one.
The mere term Hybrid, is extremely broad and doesn't give a student who is registering for this class an outlook on the way this class will be conducted. As a person who has struggled with math from an early academic age, I would have benefited from a course in which I had more class time, all materials was first taught in class and not sectioned off between lessons in class and lessons on educosoft, and more. While professor Meangru, is doing an excellent job, it is my firm belief that this style of course needs a lot of improvement, in the area of advertisement.
I am aware that math 115 is considered rudimentary college beginner's math, and that most students who took this class with a prior math knowledge or at least not impaired, benefited from its easy (once a week) schedule, and are more than satisfied to pass this course, get the credits, fulfill their major requirements and move on, without much time spent in.
This is all great, where it works, in the areas where it doesn't work, like in my case, I would suggest some changes are in need.  Other than my frustration in general with math, which by this point, must be obvious, I will repeat, that professor Meangru, has been great and this class could have been run a lot worse if it weren't for him running it.
Thank you.

My favorite thing about homeschooling may be how many amazing people my kids get to learn from. Today we're hanging with one of our favorite old men, grandpa L, who at the moment is telling the kids all about teaching English in Sri Lanka in the 60s and doing wordfinds. :)

These are my boys yesterday with their Sea Perch they built in 4H. It’s an underwater vehicle powered by a remote control. They spent hours learning how to use tools, work as team, solder and even about Archimedes principle. Yesterday was the first day they got to test it out in water with an obstacle course. They were over the moon and I couldn’t be prouder of all of their efforts.

The other parents at the playground probably think this is dangerous, but it's a super fun way to play on a seesaw alone
