What makes the hours I work at the library so awesome is that it's my job to design and assemble crafts projects for preschool story hour. So I have a lot of fun cooking up different ideas to work with different themes. Lately I count it a double win if I can cook up something that is fun and creative for the kids to make, which can then *also* be a toy afterwards! I was thinking of those plastic monkeys that you can hang in chains, and wondering what other animals I could draw in a hooked shape. I came up with a snake and an otter to go along with the traditional monkey. I'll do this up in ink and run off copies on cardstock as a coloring project. Not sure what bells and whistles I might add yet...it's always better if there's glue involved somehow, but I haven't figured that part out yet.
