i love love love all of your clothing designs. especially for the starks, the outfits suit them so well. and i just love how it visually shows cultural differences between the regions. like imagine ned and catelyn getting married, and how their formal outfits wouldnt match at all. or like cersei going to winterfell and being Too Much in her renaissance fashion look, meanwhile she would be forced to spend time with with catelyn, who is straight chilling in her mongolian inspired look

adwd jon IS boring but it’s also my favorite because it’s on purpose on his part. after four genre-shifts from campy boarding school friendship tale to soaring adventure beyond the wall to star crossed romance to war drama he’s finally just like. No. no more of this fantasy bullshit. we’re not fucking doing this. i have shit to do. and EVERYONE around him is just SCREAMING that he’s a magic fantasy protagonist and he’s like, I’ll fucking kill you. I need this to be a plain political drama right now actually. melisandre keeps giving him prophecies and he has dreams about fighting the dead with a glowing red sword and he keeps accidentally warging ghost and getting mad about it and the wildlings swear their vows directly to him in the same manner as they would any king-beyond-the-wall and mormont’s raven is just constantly yelling KING KING KING YOU’RE A KING JON LISTEN TO ME HOLY SHIT and jon’s like. :/ Sorry but i can’t care. nothing suspicious about any of that. i need to go count our stores of salt beef

I think Dunk’s adventures being so insignificant is part of the point. All these conflicts could’ve been resolved without him. The main decisions are always made by someone else. People he protects aren’t important for history, at least not at the moment. Yet that’s precisely why it matters. No one would care if Aerion Targaryen broke all Tanselle’s fingers. No one would care if during the conflict between Standfast and Coldmoat some peasants died. (And considering the complicated relationship between Rohanne and Eustace and that Bennis is a dumb fuck, I think some fight would’ve happened one way or another). And certainly, no one would even think twice about Glendon Flowers, the Knight of the Pussywillows. But Dunk always cares enough to put his life on the line for a bunch of no-names. And that’s what makes his leg worth the prince’s life.
