I know 2021 has brought some new things into my life. Say if you will obsessions, as my boyfriend does. Some have been new hobbies, new collections, and food or drinks. In this post, I’m outing myself on all the new obsessions of mine so far in 2021!
Squishmellows - Come on people it’s 2021 if you aren’t collecting these by now get with it! They are the new Webkinz. I’m a child at heart!
Disney Doorables - This one is another one that you need to jump on the train of. They are the cutest little mini Disney characters. When you open up the door it’s a mystery to see which characters you got and how many. Again child at heart!
Target Bullets Playground - I swear I go once or twice a week it’s not healthy for my bank account.
Coloring Books - This is one of my new self-care activities. I highly suggest going to your nearest craft store and purchasing one for yourself.
Watermelon Punch Booster Tea - A new boosted tea recipe perfect for getting me in that summer mood.
Reading - Not really a new one but still obsessed even more will help from my Book of the Month subscription box!
Reds Only Package of Mini Unwrapped Starburst - I can eat a whole big bag in a day… again unhealthy.
Sparkling Ice Drinks - The lemon-lime is the best hands down!
ColorStreet Nails - Support your entrepreneur girlfriends while having amazing nails that last longer than a $75 manicure!
Paint by Diamonds - A great art project for the weekend or as another self-care activity. I currently am doing all the Winnie the Pooh characters. I find it very relaxing and your hand doesn’t cramp up on you like coloring for a long time will.

How I Plan and Prioritize My Days
Tumblr media
Planning and setting priorities are very important to me. I like being on a schedule at all times. Now don’t get me wrong I do ver away from my planning for the day to have a day to myself but very rarely. I start planning my week ahead on Sunday. Sunday I feel like is the “get it back together” days. If something went wrong last week, Sunday is the day to figure out how you can make it go right for next week. I write in a color-coded mini-notebook that I schedule my days out in. I try to keep my color-coding the same as in my planner so categories don’t get confused. My color-coding scale is as follows:
Black for appointments
Purple for Blogging
Green for my Herbalife business
Blue for School Related (classes and homework)
Pink for Daily Habits
I prioritize my days on a time basis. Say I have a paper due on Friday this week and it is currently Monday. I would put in my to-do list in a blue pen that I need to write part one of the paper Tuesday and then part two Wednesday. This then leaves me time on Thursday to edit and proofread before turning it in. That right there is stressfree planning and prioritizing! I do this every Sunday. I look at the due dates for the week, then each day gets a workload to prioritize for the day. This prevents me from getting stressed and procrastinating. I also plan out my self-care and habits for the day in this daily to-do list. It helps to remind me to stay on top of my goals. I love the feeling at the end of the day when every to-do list box has a big old X through it. I hope this inspires you to start planning and prioritizing your own every day. And as always be sure to follow along on all my social media platforms to see into my everyday life. From daily insta story vlogs, OOTDs, thrifting trips, travel adventures, and of course baby Pumkin. I can’t wait to get to know you all more through this fun blogging adventure. Laters babes!

Summer 2020 Makeup Trends
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It’s Summer 2020! Let’s dive into what is going to be so hot in summer 2020 with makeup!
Hot Pink Lips
Time to ditch that red lip look. Pink is coming in hot this summer! Summer 2020 is all about the watermelon pink lips. Earn extra bonus points by bringing other pink elements into your look.
Graphic Eyeliner
If the pink lips are too bold for you to hang on to your seats for this summer trend! This look is giving me all the Egyptian vibes. This trend is all about thin and graphic lines. It pairs so well with a lightweight foundation and lip gloss. You might just not wear it on a hot sweaty day.
Outer Corner Eyeliner
If graphic eyeliner is out of your comfort zone, this summer 2020 makeup trend is for you. To achieve this look all you will need is a black pencil eyeliner, something thick and smudgy, that you'll draw along your outer corners for a cool and modern cat-eye perfect to flaunt all summer long.
Feathered Brows
I’m sorry but this is one makeup look I will never hop of the bandwagon of. This summer 2020 makeup trend doesn't require any brow pencils or powders. Instead, brush up your brows with a tinted brow gel to achieve this look.
Pink Blush
Good news for my fellow sweaters! Pink blush is big for summer 2020. Throw a couple of swipes of powder blush on top of your foundation for a soft and pretty look that's super easy to build on. This is one of the easiest looks to recreate this summer!
White Eyeliner
Take the earlier said graphic eyeliner trend one step further! Opt for a white pencil. This is another makeup trend that I will definitely be trying this summer. This look would be perfect for that summer concert you have planned.
Dewy Skin
There is nothing unique about this look but there's no better time than the warmer weather season to try out makeup looks that work with your sweat, right? Here’s a tip for my oily skin ladies, try a powder highlighter instead of liquid. It'll keep your dew from settling into your foundation. This is the perfect summer look to flaunt by the pool all day long.
Yellow Eyeshadow
Who has a yellow in their collection of pallets that are never used? Don’t you worry you’re gonna get a lot of use out of it this summer! Yellow eyeshadow is a simple way to brighten up your eyes, and it looks great against a bare face or minimal makeup.
Peachy Lids
This is another one of my favorite summer 2020 trends! This look of inspiration is so gorgeous. If yellow isn't your thing, try a peach eyeshadow look instead. It's a bit lighter and more summery than your classic brown eyeshadow looks. It's also super fun to coordinate with your lip and highlight. Another look I will definitely be trying this summer.
Holographic Smokey Eye
Soft makeup looks are not the only looks on-trend this summer. This look is perfect for those nights when you wanna take things to the next level. Recreate this look by smudging a holographic cream eyeshadow or highlighter all over your lids for a cute smokey eye. This is definitely one of those more advanced looks but summer is for fun and trying new things. Go for it!
Stained Glossy Lips
All trends are hit in this photo inspiration. From the braided sleek pony, blue eyeshadow, and the stained glossy lips! This is such an easy summer lip look to try. It’s perfect to add a touch of color to a bare face or simple enough to match a bold eye look.
Blues from the Eyes to the Lips
Summer 2020 is going bold with BLUE! Why stop at the eyelids too? Models at the Chromat show walked the runway with blue lipstick. That’s such an unexpected way to add an edge to your summer look.
Watercolor Eyelids
Out of all these trends, I think this one is my favorite! No more neutral shades this summer! Get those cotton candy vibes by using contrasting colors in the pastel range. Go soft or go bold and graphic. There are endless possibilities. I will definitely be trying this makeup trend this summer.
Neon Eyes
Summer is all about fun, what's more fun than a bright eyeshadow look. Neon is the color of summer. This makeup trend can be worn on a summer date or at a pool party. Let the creativity flow with this summer 2020 makeup trend.
Glitter Everything
Summer 2020 is going to take glitter to new heights. Of course, use biodegradable, non-plastic glitter whenever possible! Your face is the canvas. Glitter can be put on the eyelids, used as blush, lipstick, pretty much anywhere on the face. Go BOLD!
Which look are you wanting to recreate this summer? As always be sure to follow along on all my social media platforms to see into my everyday life. Shein Summer Haul 2020
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Shein is one of my favorite sites to shop on. Yes, I know they have some controversy but what clothing brand doesn’t. I much rather shop online then go into a Brandy Melville store and get judged. Plus the price, you can’t beat it! The styles are always up to date too. Why pay $40 at Brandy Melville when you can get the same style shirt for way cheaper on Shein?! This order I splurged. Which isn’t hard when the deals are so good. I got clothes and misc items for our new apartment. Let’s see what all I got.
Miscellaneous Items
Foot Brush - $13.08
I’m saying it right now I have dancer’s feet. If you don’t know what that means let me explain, image turning so much that you get blisters on the ball of your foot, the floor dries out your heels and toe pads, and floor burns all over your feet from pointe shoes and floor work. My feet need all the attention they can get to look there best outside of the dance studio. I so far am in love with the bristles and the buffer at the end of it. There were no color options when I ordered, so they sent a random color. Blue would have not been my first choice but oh well, I’m still gonna use it.
Three Metal Buckle PU Belts - $6.54
I used to hate belts in high school but now that I’m not a stick figure anymore, they have become my best friend. I wanted to buy a set of belts and this was the perfect set for me! Each one can easily go with any outfit!
40pcs Ditsy Floral Pattern Scrunchies - $9.81
A girl can never have too many scrunchies! These are perfect for my thin hair. I can’t wait to match all the different styles with my outfit on the daily. Now I just need to master some new hairstyles to go with them!
1pc Tassel Wall Decor - $5.45
When I saw this piece I knew it would look great in the bathroom of my new apartment. It was simple, which is just what I wanted. I just wish I got more to design them together on their own wall.
2pcs Plain Metal Bookend - $3.82
Again another item that didn’t have a color choice and sent just a random color, lime green. It will most definitely clash with my color scheme in my room so I might just spray paint them soon to lavender.  As long as they hold all my books in place that’s all that matters, right?
Bow Decor Shower Headband - $6.54
I love this headband! It’s a lifesaver in the mornings. I usually like to air dry my hair after a shower but it constantly gets in my face during my skincare routine. This is a stylish and convenient solution to my problem.
12pcs Simple Plain Scrunchies - $5.45
Have I said I like scrunchies?! I saw this satin set and knew I couldn’t pass it up.
Slogan Graphic Wall Print - $3.27
I love this saying and design. I knew it would look great in the bathroom of my new apartment. I had made some other fashion quotes to go in there also, so it would fit in naturally. It’s the perfect saying to describe my style. I don’t care what others around me think of my outfit choices, I wear what I want to wear because it makes me happy.
1pc Buttocks Workout Resistance Band - $6.54
I have been wanting one of these for a while now. I can’t wait to start using it in my apartment complex’s gym! I got to pick my color on this item, thank goodness! Pink was the goto, it’s a happy color so it should keep me happy while I’m doing a killer workout right?
1pc Iron Grid Wall Hanging Decor - $5.45
I have been saving different office ideas on Pinterest and each one of them has a grid on the wall like this one. I’m going to paint some mini wooden close pens to be able to hang photos and notes.
1 pc Silicone Shampoo Brush - $4.36
I personally hate washing my hair when I have fake nails on, which is 95% of the time. This was a perfect solution to that problem. I love that it came in purple too!
Clothing Items
Allover Graphic Bandeau Bikini Top - $6.54
This swim top is made for laying out, soaking in those summer rays. My new apartment complex has a pool and so many perfect layout chairs. I can’t wait to sit out there in this top with a good book.
Solid Sweatshirt and Tie Front Slant Pocket Sweatpants Set - $29.43
I have been really into pastel colors lately and sets are in style. The inside is so soft but while also being lightweight it will be perfect for winter here in Kentucky.
Tie-Dye Print Round Neck Sweatshirt - $14.17
Now, this I would not have called a “sweatshirt” it’s more of a knit long sleeve shirt. That is exactly what I will be using it as too. It’s a lightweight material and the color combination is so pretty. I’m not sad at all about this purchase.
3 Ribbed Cropped Cami Top - $5.45 each
I bought this style of top in three colors; black, burgundy, and navy. I can’t wait to style these tops with some paper bag style pants or a simple high waisted short. They are extremely soft too!
Tie-Dye Print Tee with Knot Pants - $22.89
Another set! This color combination just screams happiness to me, it’s so colorful. The pants are also high waisted, big bonus there. It will be the perfect lounging set for homework filled days at home.
American Flag Print Crop Tee - $9.81
This is a very simple graphic tee, but those are very trendy right now. I have never really been a graphic tee kinda girl, so we are starting to hop on the trend slowly.
2 Paper Bag Waist Knot Hem Belted Pants - $20.71
I got these pants in two colors; black and a salmon color. This is another purchase that I can’t wait to wear. The knit tanks from above will pair great with these or any of my bodysuits too. Not able to see this in the picture but there is a cute bow tie detail at the ankles.
Ruffled Armhole Flower Embroider Strip Top - $9.81
I LOVE this top! I put it on to make sure it fit and fell in love. I already started imaging all the different pants I will be pairing it with. The embroidered detailing is bright and delicate. While the ruffles on the shoulder add a flirty edge.
Lettuce Trim Ribknit Crop Top - $4.36
Lettuce trim is also a trend I’m not too overly excited about but having it on this pastel baby blue top makes it doable. Again with the obsession with pastels lately. We will see how I pair this outfit throughout the rest of summer and into the fall.
3pcs Ribbed Bandeau Set - $11.99
I was in drastic need of some simple bandeaus. I didn’t want to buy a bunch of single bandeaus so when seeing this set of three I couldn’t pass it up. They are the universal colors too. They will be so easy to match with tops.
Frill Strap Colorful Striped Cami Top - $6.54
Another bright and colorful top to add to my wardrobe! The ruffle straps are too cute. They add a flirty touch to a simple top. I think this top will look so good with some dark denim, don’t you agree?!
Which is your favorite item? I would love to see what is your favorite item that you have purchased from Shien also. And as always be sure to follow along on all my social media platforms to see into my everyday life. From daily insta story vlogs, OOTDs, thrifting trips, travel adventures, and of course baby Pumkin. I can’t wait to get to know you all more through this fun blogging adventure. Laters babes!

Get to Know Jessi 101: My Favorite Movies
Tumblr media
I have so many favorite movies it’s hard to just choose one! So I compiled a group of my favorite movies. Here we go!
Footloose Remake in 2011
Who doesn’t love the story of Footloose? And come on Kenny Wormald is a total hottie! The remake still follows the storyline of the original but with a new young cast featuring Julianne Hough, Miles Teller, Andie MacDowell, and Dennis Quaid. I have seen both Footloose movies and I don’t if it’s because I’m of that younger generation but the remake will always be my favorite. Along with the soundtrack! Fake Id by Big and Rich is one of my all-time favorite songs. Of course, the dancer in me even learned the line dance from the movie to go with it.
Dirty Dancing (1987)
I know another dance film but are you really surprised? This is a classic! From the music to the choreography this movie set the bar for all dancing films to follow. The iconic lift in the last number… I have actually done a lift like that in one of my college dance numbers, and yes it is as scary as it looks but also electrifying for an adrenaline junky. Songs that are still popular today are included in this film like The Time of My Life and Be My Baby. If you haven’t heard those songs, I’m sorry but you must be living under a rock.
Any Nicholas Sparks Movie
I love his books so you know I’m gonna love his movies, even if they do make me cry… EVERY single one of them. My top three favorites would definitely have to be the classic The Notebook, The Longest Ride, and Safe Haven. They always follow the books so well too. You know sometimes movies can go out off to a different land nowhere near relevant to the books. I appreciate it when books and movies are very similar. Nicholas Sparks achieves that in each one.
Marvel Movies
I have seen them all! It’s something about the adventure and action that leaves you on the edge of your seat with each film. The characters are so well thought too. We know their storyline and history through each passing film. The scriptwriting is also amazing. Marvel knows how to through comedy also into each one of their films. My favorite Marvel movie would have to be Avengers Age of Ultron. I absolutely love Scarlett Witch.
Kissing Booth from Netflix
This cring worthy Netflix romantic comedy just makes me happy each time I watch it. This film came out when I was going through a very messy breakup. Each night that I had a bad day I would spend a couple of hours watching the film and I would feel better. Don’t ask me how I just did somehow. It also helps that the male cast members are very cute and Joey King is sooo funny and an amazing actress no matter what role she is playing.
Beauty and the Beast (the original)
Everyone has their one favorite all-time Disney movie. Mine is this one. My favorite Disney Princess is also Belle. Don’t ask me why as a child I loved the movie with the big scary beast in it but I did. While all my friends were playing in Cinderella dresses I was in my bright yellow Belle dress constantly. I have yet to see the real-life film with Emma Watson, because I know I’m going to have high expectations and don’t want to be disappointed. Should I watch it?
Double Teamed
I had this movie on VHS that’s how old it is. If you know what movie this is we can be ultimate best friends. Along with Beauty and the Beast, this was another Disney movie that was constantly being played when I was growing up. I loved it. This movie is based on real twins making their journey to the WNBA. If you haven’t seen this movie I really recommend you watch it.
The Star Wars Movies
I was introduced to these films in high school and have loved them ever since. I’m a huge Anakin, Darth Vader, and Padme fan. I would definitely be on the dark side sorry. My favorite movie out of the series is Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. I’m so glad that Disney+ has all the movies to stream whenever I feel like having a Star Wars movie marathon.
What are your favorite movies? Leave a comment below. As always be sure to follow along on all my social media platforms to see into my everyday life. From daily insta story vlogs, OOTDs, thrifting trips, travel adventures, and of course baby Pumkin. I can’t wait to get to know you all more through this fun blogging adventure. Laters babes!

Day 66 of 100 Days of Productivity
Today was the day I hit a wall. Woke up with a splitting migraine, tried to go to work but only lasted two hours before my vision got really foggy. I came directly back to the apartment to sleep it off. That nap lasted four hours... I had exactly an hour to get ready for my last class of the week. I only have about four more weeks left of this semester and all the due dates are piling up.

Surviving 1 Month of Grad School
Tumblr media
October is here. I can’t believe it! 2020 has been a whirlwind of a year. The crazy part is I have been in grad school for a little over a month now. I have learned a lot about myself and in my chosen field too. I’m on my way to get a master’s degree in Sports Administration and Management. It’s a two-year program at The University of Louisville. Now it hasn’t been a traditional way to start grad school, but honestly, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I’m currently taking nine credit hours, which accumulates into three classes. With the pandemic the classes are in a hybrid format, two being online and one being in person. Even though we aren’t meeting in person I still have made some friends and connections in the program. The curriculum and way of teaching are far more up to date and student-driven than my undergraduate university. The faculty care about the student’s success here. It’s been an amazing shift coming from a university where only a select few professors cared, to having a whole department there for you 100%! Here are some of my tips for anyone starting grad school.
Use a planner - there aren’t as many assignments but the assignments that are given could take a good chunk of time to complete. Prioritize and time management are going to be your best friend.
Take time for you - this is the most important tip I can give you. Take time out of each day for you. Get away from the computer and schoolwork, even if it’s only for a couple of minutes. I personally love to read for fun, going for a walk, and take a relaxing Epsom salt bath to get away from my schoolwork for while.
Get involved - typically universities have multiple graduate committees or clubs that you can join in your specific major. There is also so much to do on campus. Don’t just sit in your apartment all day, go to the rec center, take a group fitness class, got to the athletic games, join different study groups. Make grad school an experience, not a chore.
Have multiple areas to study and do school work - I’m not gonna lie there is a lot of papers and readings to do in grad school, to keep from not getting bored have multiple areas to study. I currently have 6 that are my go-to spots. This keeps you from getting bored or even sidetracked while studying for multiple hours. But don’t forget to take breaks during those long study sessions. Caffeine will also become your best friend too.
I hope these tips will help you through your grad school adventure. If you are looking into grad school for the future I’m here to tell you to take the leap it’s the best decision you will ever make! Fall 2020 Nail Trends
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Nails are the last on our list for fall trends. What will be the top trending nail and pedi looks this fall? Let’s find out!
French-Tip
French tip manicures will be a big this fall, so get over the flashbacks from your '00s childhood and get on board with these ultra-thin white tips.
Multi-Colored French-Tip
Not ready to bring back the 2000’s? Dive into the trend with multi-colored tips and a matte topcoat.
Tie-Dye
This one is not going to be easy to recreate at home, maybe screenshot the idea for your next nail salon appointment?!
Single Lines
Polka dots had their shining moment this spring and summer. This fall the shinning star is single, minimalist lines all over nail beds.
Mixed Patterns
No matchy-matchy this fall!
Split Nails
Split nails look difficult, but I promise they're not! Tape off half of your nails down the middle, paint each nail a different color, then peel off the tape and repeat on the other half.
Retro Colors
Old is officially new again!  The 70s inspired nail designs, like retro olive green, peach, and off-white manicure are going to be all the rage this fall.
Gradient Nails
Gradient nails still aren't going anywhere this fall.
Flashes of Color
This nail trend is less design-oriented and more color-oriented.
Faux-Nude Nails
Not quite a crisp French tip, but not exactly a bare. Polish-less nail, faux-nude nails will be one of fall's biggest nail trends.
Neutral Nails
This trend here is clean and subtle.
Designed Nail Tips
Nail tips are having a moment this fall. Paint them white, or rainbow, or squiggle some lines on them.
Almost-White
DIY your polish at home by pouring white nail polish onto a piece of tinfoil or waxed paper. Then mixing a drop of colored nail polish to give it a soft hue.
Heart Nails
There's something definitively less cutesy about heart nail art when it's only on two fingernails and painted with the deepest of black nail polishes. Just perfect for spooky season!
Shimmery Metallic
As long as the polish has some shimmery and metallic vibes, you'll be on-trend for fall 2020.
Logo Nails
For fall, paint some designer logos on your nails.
Pop-Art Nails
Trace the edges of your painted nails with black polish, add a thin stripe of white around the sides, and boom! Pop-art nails.
Snakeskin Nails
For fall expect to see animal textures of the reptilian nature!
Candy-Apple Red
Red doesn't exactly feel new, or trendy, or groundbreaking. But really think about the last time you, wore plain-ass red nails.
Ink-Blot Nails
Like a more sophisticated version of your chipped, destroyed nails!
Pure Glitter Nails
Glittery, shimmery, glitzy nails! The kind usually reserved for New Year's Eve will be a free for all and highly encouraged this fall.
What fall trends on this list will you be sporting? I know I will be sporting a couple of them! And as always be sure to follow along on all my social media platforms to see into my everyday life. Habits of a Successful Student
Tumblr media
I know summer has just started but for some college students school never stops. Summer classes are a great way to get ahead on the track to graduation. I took a couple each summer to get the hard classes or even the easy classes out of the way. I have learned a few tips and tricks along the way through high school and college. These include:
Use the Syllabus
On the first day of class, each professor or teacher will hand out a syllabus. This will be your lifeline through the whole semester and class. The class description, way of contacting the professor, what book to use for the class, the schedule of the class for the whole semester, and when each assignment is due.
Buy a Planner
I can not stress this one enough! It will be another lifeline through the whole class. Of course, my planner is my lifeline for everything in my life. If you have multiple classes in one semester I suggest color coding each class. I have a color for each section of my life. Light blue is for anything classes related including homework, purple for anything to do with dance, red for all things work-related, and so on. I recommend you do the same. You can decorate the planner however you want to. Add your own touch and individualism to it.
Google Drive
Google applications are my all-time favorite. I use multiple devices to do school and workloads. Google Drive lets me keep them all in one spot and accessible anywhere. During school Google Drive comes in handy for group projects especially if they are not on-campus students. Everyone can contribute to using Google Team Drives. Sharing presentations, documents, and spreadsheets are easy too. At the tap of a button, you can give another the opportunity to edit, comment, or view only to any other Google user.
Google Calendar
Another Google application I use is Google Calendar. Along with my planner, I color code my calendar too. I keep the colors the same as much as possible, as explained above. The best part of Google Calendar is you can share individual calendars with other Google users. My family uses this application to stay on top of every appointment or meeting each one of us has.
Buy Multiple Binders
I personally use binders for each class over folders. There are so many notes and papers to be printed in college. I three-hole punch each paper and store them from the beginning of the semester to the end. Notes, passed papers, quizzes, anything it helps to keep everything organized. It comes in handy for midterms and finals too.
Buy Two Five Subject Notebooks
I call these two notebooks my study books. I find flashcards a waste of time to make and the least effective way to study. Writing out the information and reading it over and over again has proven to work the best for me. Always ask the professor if they give study guides for exams on the first day. If they do, perfect, ask if you can have them at the beginning of the unit to keep a running study guide going. If they don’t, ask what they would consider the best way to prepare for the exams. Do exactly that in the notebook. Take each section for a different class that semester. Fill the pages with either the study guide answers or the information that is best to study off of. Highlight, color code, make graphs, anything that will help you, in the end, to study and ace those midterms and finals.
Buy a Mini Notebook
This is a trick that keeps my agenda in order and makes sure I don’t forget anything. While also dividing up my homework load so I’m not leaving it to the last minute. Pink I find is the most vibrant color. I color code my homework with it. But all the other colors from my planner come back to the code in the notebook. Each day has a checklist, things that need to be done for the day. I even put my daily habits on this checklist. Crossing off each as they are done throughout the day. I make this checklist every Sunday for the upcoming week’s events and workload.
Set a Study Hour Goal Each Day
I started doing this in my senior year and saw my grades jump significantly higher. I set a daily goal of studying for three hours. I would set aside time each day to do a set of homework and studying to-dos that were set in the mini notebook. I definitely count this as a game-changer for any college or high school student alike.
Have Multiple Study Spots
I’m one that gets bored of the same thing very fast. I set many different study spots in my house, on campus, and even around town. The on-campus library is perfect for late-night study sessions. A cafe for those long study sessions so you have a snack and caffeinated drinks right at hand. An outside park with pretty scenery for a long reading session.
Take Breaks
I always do my workloads in two-hour increments. Setting a timer on my phone to let me know when my snack break or self-care break is. Always set time for yourself after hard work. You deserve a reward for working toward that high GPA goal don’t forget to reward yourself.
I hope you all try out these habits that have helped me along the way through my years of high school and college and are still helping me today. Laters babes!
