I'm so pissed with how this bloke treated John in this scene. He's the damn authority, yet He didn't need to push him about like that. Especially when he hadn't done anything.

Everybody wants to talk. It's like a compulsion. My philosophy is: you got nothing to say, don't say it. They figure you can tell a D.D. anything, things they would never tell anyone else. Of course they're stoned to start.

what are some of your favorite movies? :3
i have a lot!! so it depends how many we're talking about but. my all-time favourite is crash (1996) ofc. bergman's winter light is also pretty high up there. perfect days and la chimera as new releases. i've also found myself thinking about ethan hawke's wildcat recently (which is crazy bc i thought it was Fine, but i have such a reverence for flannery o'connor) light sleeper 1992 also a relatively new favourite. tarkovsky's mirror, or nostalghia, or the sacrifice - can't decide, though my gut says mirror. park chan wook's decision to leave!!!!! ok im stopping now

Le Samouraï is the basis of the Loner Male movie genre and lead to Ronald Reagan being shot. You can continue the legacy of Le Samouraï by missing the point of of the genre. Do toxic masculinity, it's very cool* and you can be just like Arthur Bremer, Travis Bickle, John Hinckley Jr., and Mr. The Joker.
