This rouge's name is Foxbane, and he is her mate and the father of Greykit and Bluekit.

They talk about using the kits for Flaxclaw to get accepted easier.

Blazedawn and Bluepaw go out on a herb patrol. Needless to say, they don't get along.

Slatefur shows Greypaw important territory landmarks. Greypaw relays all of this to Flaxclaw.

Craneclaw, Deerstep and Stonedusk steal prey from ClawClan.

Later on, Doverwhisker and Palethroat mock the ClawClan patrol that comes to investigate.

Craneclaw tells Morelshade she's expecting!

Morelshade comes out as non-binary. We stan.

Moon 47:

Bluepaw receives a prophecy from StarClan: "Beware the son with a pelt of black."

He tells Lightleaf who is...less than kind about it.

I'll tell ya'll since we got some new people: Lightleaf received this same prophecy that influenced her to kill Flintpaw and her downwards spiral.

Snipkit is proving to be a troublemaker. I also changed Lightkit's name to Smokekit because I realized there were cats sharing a prefix!

Sandpaw becomes Lora's second apprentice, and Eaglepaw becomes Midgefeather's first apprentice.

Mr. Whiskers finds and injured former kittypet by the Thunderpath, and he becomes Sootcreek.

Chaffinchfur finds a loner named Tiny, who joins the Clan and keeps his name.

Family reunion

Heyo! Here’s some concept art of characters for my project Heart of the Ocean! These are just a few of many characters that I have in the story. It’s nice to be able to show you some of the ones that I have made designs for.

These guys and gals are a part of several different tribes in the story, two of which are shown here. All of the tribes in the story have formed together and created a union in order to defend their territories from other big threats. Currently, the union is in shambles after an attack from larger predators destroyed one of their tribes. What’s worse is that Dustclaw, the current leader of his tribe, has separated himself and his followers from the union not long ago, bringing the amount of food and medicine supply down. The union is currently fixing their camp and figuring out what to do with Dustclaw.

The two groups that I’ve shown are the DeepForest Ambushers (the jungle tribe) and the HotRock Stalkers (the volcano tribe). Dustclaw is leading the DeepForest Ambushers, while Smallshadow (not pictured) is leading the HotRock Stalkers. Each tribe has their own unique members who hold different types of abilities and talents and whether they use these abilities for good or for evil is up to them to decide (by abilities, I don’t mean that they use magic and powers, it’s more so just “who’s faster” or “who’s stronger”).

Phew! That was quite a long ramble. Anyways, this is something that I’ve been working on today! The characters shown are: Dustclaw, Thistlestorm, Nightpatch, Rosefeather, Kestrel, Dovefern, Darkbush (who I am thinking of renaming), Lightleaf, Leech, and Hollystrike.

Dumbest things the ROs have ever done?

Oh, this is a good one...

Darla: one time she was so nervous about passing the selection to be accepted into the knight guard, she went on a wild chase that maybe involved a black market (more of a branding thing that a real one) to acquire a magical lucky charm, despite telling herself how stupid it is every step of the way. A weighty pouch of gold lighter, days wasted, she was the owner of a deliberately arranged bundle of dried leaves (the seller said them to be lightleaf and dawnlock, believed to carry remnants of magic) and carved rocks (to seal the strength of plants plucked out of soil). She got into the guard and sort of...forgot the whole thing, it was just there in a sash among her belongings. A few months later, a friend of hers simply brewed her talisman into a tea when she fell sick, and she was dying both physically and mentally when they told her “oh, good thing you have a pouch of yarrow, it helps with fever :)”

Yvette/Yves: per their own admission it would be on the day when Manon, their older sister, was to be sent to Rimehall to be wed to then-prince Karon. Unable to say goodbye to them, she told them they would play a round of hide-and-seek before she had to go. They paid no heed to the servants shuffling around because they saw them as the perfect distraction, and found a good hiding spot in the half-empty stables. Y was four, and they never saw her again. Believing her back then was to them, without a doubt, the dumbest thing they have ever done.

Gale: arguably, it is still ahead of him would be something like him sitting late night in the royal library, encircled by hills of books, trying to fight back sleep by eating an apple to the light of dying candles. Falling asleep anyway, dropping the apple and, through a copious amount of unlucky coincidences, having the apple roll into the candlesticks, toppling them and starting That One Fire in The Royal Library.

Ianthe: it is often not easy to tell if her “seemingly silly” act is not part of a deliberate and complex design, but one time she trailed a group of mage hunters—on her own—when they wandered too close to the training grounds her teacher has established. Although the hunters don’t have a special sense to detect mages, they do have eyes and ears, and she was young and very inexperienced, coasting on pure luck and the fact that the hunters were actually just passing through the territory. She was pulled out by her teacher before things could get ugly (a mage? pursuing the hunters?..)

Jax: in a particularly frustrating moment of their life, they have taken a habit of using their magic, so-called doors, as a nervous outlet, just to send their feather pen through them over and over again. A monotone distraction of a kind for their stormy mind. They had no choice but to suppose such a wasteful and childish application has angered the Third Sister, because they could not use their magic for several weeks afterwards and suffered a long bout of a migraine. 

Arthur: mage hunters do not drink, so right on the eve of his initiation a bunch of low-rank nobles offered him to taste some wine not to miss out on anything, so to speak. He was twelve, never had any before and happily agreed. So obviously the world before his eyes doing cartwheels did not help with maintaining a dignified image of a duke’s son at a banquet dedicated to the birthday of the King’s daughter (that’s where so much unmonitored wine appeared). Such an unsightly thing did get blown out of proportion, starting a rumor that the Duke of Noyer could not manage his son and was thus sending him off to military school rigorous hunter training. When he officially came back, Arthur was nothing but a collected and charming presence at court, in a weird self-fulfilling prophecy kind of way.

November Writing: Day One

Hi! Mod Mom Friend here with a short little thing to get me into writing! This features Donna, Mod Rug Wrestler’s boy Felix, and Mod Snooth Snalking Snatan’s boy Damakos. The prompt was “I feel like the parent of the group. You’re all my children now,” found on this post. Hope you enjoy!

“Oh Gods. You have to be kidding me,” Donna moaned, pinching the bridge of her nose.

“Hey, not even a ‘Hello?’ No ‘I’m so glad you’re safe’?” Damakos objected, his signature sass present but weak. He was heavily favoring his left leg--his right one looked...wrong--and his large overcoat was sliced over the chest, partially soaked in blood. He was being partially supported by Felix, who didn’t look that well off either. Blood trickled down Felix’s face from a gash over his eye, one that was rapidly swelling, and his left arm looked like it had taken a good beating.

“You went out to find food.” Donna’s voice was a cocktail of worry, surprise, and most of all, exasperation.

“And we found a camp of bandits. I don’t see how this is so hard to believe,” Damakos countered.

“They were many, and we were overwhelmed fairly quickly; however, we did hold our own,” Felix added tiredly.

Donna let out a long suffering sigh. “Get over here and sit down so I can reach you,” she ordered. Damakos and Felix obliged, though Donna had to help Damakos sit so he didn’t hurt his leg any more than it already was. Back at the beginning of their friendship, this situation would have been different. Donna would have been worried sick, or at least concerned, but at this point, it became routine--Damakos and Felix did something ridiculous, and she ended up helping them through it. It was borderline ritualistic. This time, the wounds weren’t even bad enough to justify worrying about exhausting herself, except for the issue with Damakos’s leg. That, she likely wouldn’t be able to heal all the way, but she could at least get it well on the way to recovery. She started with Felix, who was bleeding more immediately, running a gentle finger over the cut on his eye. Golden holy magic wove in and out of the cut, sealing it, stopping infection, helping the swelling go down, numbing any pain. Gently, Donna cleaned the blood off and moved to his arm.

“You are a godsend, Donamira,” Felix murmured as the undoubtedly overpowering pain in his arm started to fade at Donna’s touch.

“I feel like a mother with two incredibly irresponsible children,” she muttered, a smile creeping onto her face despite her attempt to look exasperated. She finished washing the blood off Felix’s skin and moved onto Damakos, peeling back his overcoat to expose the wound. “How did you manage this?” she gasped, realizing how deep the wound was.

“I didn’t exactly ask for it,” Damakos objected. “Ow!”

“Oh shush. You can walk back on a destroyed leg, you can handle me very lightly touching the wound.” She paused. “Gods, I do sound like an exasperated mother.”

“We’re your children now,” Damakos declared brightly as Donna moved to working on his leg.

“You’re a mother at the ripe old age of twenty,” Felix chuckled to himself. Twenty years was practically a child in the Elvish lifespan--Felix himself was over one hundred.

“What kind of decisions have I made to get me here?” Donna did her best to sound regretful, but as she looked at Damakos and Felix’s joking grins she smiled at them and rolled her eyes. “Don’t walk on that,” she instructed Damakos. “Not for a little longer at least.”

“But mom,” Damakos joked. Donna sighed.

“I’m going to regret saying I’m like a mother, aren’t I?”

“That’s our job,” Damakos replied, winking and giving Donna a lopsided grin that she couldn’t help but return.
