Here is an older light study I never got around to sharing, and I honestly don’t know why. I painted this back in November of last year, when I was beginning to warm up to Photoshop and drawing more detailed pieces.

If you’ve seen the movie, you know I took some liberties drawing this particular moment - if you can’t tell, Heloise isn’t ACTUALLY “on fire” in this moment in the film 😂 But I did find it 1) thematically accurate to how Marianne SEES Heloise, especially in this instant, where she later tells her that this was the moment she truly fell for her, and 2) it… it was more fun for me to add more light sources and flames here 🫣👉👈 You know me, I’m a sucker for warm lighting, and fire, and candles (if my last post is any proof of anything lol) so yeah :3

This movie is excellent by the way, go check it out, it’s a literal piece of art and super soothing to the senses (plus it’s a romance, like, what more can I ask for?) 🌊😭🎨
